i tried to redgester my email into my phone that i got today and it came up saying my email was unvalid i have not yet loaded any money on it is this the problem? ide like to use it it isnt a cheep phone, oh yes i have tried several email accounts but still nothing ......

setting up auto-fetching applies to all email accounts. I swear on my 2.1 Spice XT300, the auto-retrieval was by email address (and also the smallest interval between fetches was 5 minutes, not 15 like on the Defy). I have never used 2.1 on the Defy; mine was original 2.2.1.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have just used the Email app that came with my Defy to send a message for the first time. The only trouble is that it didn't send. It is sat in the outbox not actually doing anything. what I can do about it to try and get it to send it? I just don't see much in the way of options.
I have looked at the settings for the different email accounts I have and that particular one all the settings for incoming and outgoing servers are correct and just the same as they are in outlook on my computer.
My email was compromised and now I am drafting everything from that google mail account and moving to another. How can I change my motoblur login google email to another one?

When doing this I get an error message that says, 'the user names is invalid. A user name must be 4 characters or more'. I wasnt provided with the email company providers to select from as usually happens and my username is more than 4 characters.
View 1 Replies View RelatedYesterday I upgraded my Defy to Froyo 2.2.2 (from the Moto website). Everything is great except my phone beeps everytime I get an email. I have gone into email settings and changed it to silent, but it still plays the ringtone. If I change the ringtone for email notification, it changes and plays the one I select, except if I change it to silent, it plays the "Bells" ringtone, which I think is the default. I have tried turning the phone off and on, but it still rings. I am using the stock email app with 2 pop accounts and a Yahoo account, and it plays the ringtone for all of them.

Email, and Social messaging are set to a 'silent' ringtone whilst Text messaging has a ringtone assigned to it. But I still get the standard ringtone notification for Email & Social messaging.
I have 2 corporate sync accounts setup on my defy+ - but cannot work out how to view them both
Currently I have to go into settings and set one or the other as default to see the emails Or Wait for an email to come in, and go into it from the notifications. I used to have a Samsung Galaxy (Android 2.2), as that had an option for 'combined inbox'
I am just reloading my blackberry after a repair for constant crashing and rebooting.all is well except when I enter blackberry set up and click the email account icon, nowt happens! all the others work. I can make and receive calls, any ideas what I can do to reconnect my email account? ( it does not crash anymore!)

I'm currently on a trip to Switzerland where my screen broke, and after being screwed around by the Swiss repair factory that Sony uses for three weeks, I've finally got my phone back, except now it's not connecting to the available network (Salt.). The networks show up in the list of searches, but after spinning on "registering on network" for a few minutes all I get is the usual "can't connect to network, please try again later" nonsense. The wifi works, however. I've tried repairing it with Sony Bridge for Mac, still nothing.

When I had a Z2 I had a similar issue once after sending it off for repairs for a broken screen- the repair people dinged up the internal antenna during repairs and it wouldn't connect when it got back. I sent it off again and they fixed it. Could this be the problem now, even though the wifi is working? I have a flight back to the UK in a day and I don't have time to send it off to the same company.

The pin is correct.I turned it off and took the battery out and in again then turned it on, but it is still the same.The battery is at 60% so it is not that.Why would this be please? Did I install a virus? It looked just like the normal official updates.

It is also not stable and it varies as I will use my phone light to moderate.in the night when i turn on the flight mode it decreases by 10%.When I do not turn on the flight ode it decreases by 12%I am using Eclair in Moto Defy with Motoblur in India.As per the update site it says that Q2 2011. View 5 Replies View RelatedI have had my defy now for a few months, and I have been pretty happy with it (babyproof smartphone!)Unfortunately, its becoming more and more unreliable, and am having to reboot it regularly.This weekend is the worst. Here are some of the things it is doing:
all apps keep freezing and crashing (no fancy apps, mostly use it for twitter, facebook etc).phone keeps freezing and being unresponsible on the home screen keep getting an 'emergency calls only' notification, which then clears straight away when i go into notifications.mms photos - both sent and received take up to 5 days to be visible. until then they are just flagged as 'downloading'. I'm pretty sure it shouldn't take 5 days to download a 27kb file.After rebooting, I did have a gmail widget require a forced close immediately. I was never using that widget anyway, and couldn't see it, so I uninstalled it. Now on rebooting I have to force close Google Services Framework. I have decided that looks reasonably important and useful and have declined to uninstall that so far.
