I purchased a Nokia 1661 in the US in September 2009. Is it possible for me to be able to use it again by re-registering it from the UK before I return to the US again in September this year?

Whenever my girlfriend sends me an SMS that exceeds 160 characters (a double SMS), I don't receive a "message" on my phone saying "1 new text message" (in Dutch: "1 nieuw bericht"). My phone also doesn't give the sound and/or vibration warning, even if it is supposed to do so (I checked the preferences multiple times).
However, I DO get a "messagepictogram" at the top of my screen (The little yellow envelope). When I go to my inbox, it says indeed that I have 1 new, unopened message, but when I open this textmessage, it is always an SMS I received previously from her. (and 90% of the time this is the same previous SMS)..
when I reformat my Nokia 5233 using code [*#7370#] my nokia apps pre-installed on my phone automatically sends registring message which is charged by some network providers. Is there any way to overcome this problem or removing my nokia apps from my phone.

But it was a phone once used for US cell and I want to use it on my Alltel plan. When I put the ESN on the verison website it keeps saying cannot activate the phone, but I am assuming its cuz I totally need to enter the manual setup first. Anyone know what that is? I've been searching on the forum for a while and cant seem to find it. After reading more I think I need to flash the phone to Alltel. View 1 Replies View RelatedI used the factory reset option in my Sony Xperia Z3 and the process is never ending it keeps in the android logo doing the factory reset and it has been like that for like 4 hours now. it should take only 5 minutes but I dunno what is happening.I waited the process to end for 4 hours and after nothing else happened I decided to unplug the charger and wait for it to run out of battery. Then I turned it on again and nothing changed, it went back to the factory reset process with the android logo.
Then I tried pressing the hard reset button located where the 64 GB SD Card is, and still nothing after turning it on again. Once again the cell phone restarted the factory reset process and right now another four horus passed and nothing.
The phone is heating so I am using a laptop cooler to cool the phone and avoid the heating process that is caused by the factory reset process.I still havent tried to remove the SD card.and tried to restart the process.
i just want to ask if how would i change the qwerty keypad of x10i to a normal cellphone keypads?
View 1 Replies View RelatedMy best friend had his cellphone service turned off a few weeks ago and as of yesterday all my texts *to* him are turning into SMS. They aren't being delivered as iMessages. Those messages I've sent to other iPhone users (ie. my sister) aren't doing this consistent change over. I'm confused because 1.I've received all of the messages *from* him and 2. Isn't iMessage supposed to work between iOS devices regardless? How can we remedy this? He won't be able to restore his cellphone service for another few months and the primary on his plan is going to have their provider recycle the number.

I just found that it's not just OS6.It's better on BOLD because pressing "end" button while in Standby mode will just wake the device.Is there Standby mode in OS6? on Torch? When you are composing email/txt msg, once you touch the "send" icon on touchscreen the msg will just be sent immediately. I hate this because I might hit it randomly. Is there any way to add a confirmation window there?

It only goes off if I press hold or pressing the screen if it is unlocked. I have put all volumes to zero, set the priority to No interruptions but it still rings randomly (my house, my class, everywhere).

View 4 Replies View RelatedThis began happening today on my unlocked (ex-Rogers) 8700 used on Fido.I power on the device and startup appears to proceed normally, until the BB tries to register to Fido. It does the diagonal arrows thing in the upper right of the screen and displays "GSM" and then "edge" a few seconds later in the space between the battery and signal strength meters, and then displays nothing in that area.I can't make or receive calls. My account is in good standing with Fido.Swapping the SIM into another phone works - I can make/receive calls on the other phone.

Accordıng to thecnical person cause of errors are my imei and pin numbers. How i can check my imei and pin numbers are compatible with each other and also they're registered or not registered to RIM database.
