BB Software :: Register The Device With Another Network?
Nov 9, 2010
I have a huge problem with my Bb. I bought the device in an Orange shop in UK and before leaving permanently the country, I unlocked it so that I could use an Italian SIM card. Now I'm in Italy and the problem is that I cannot register with the network here and therefore I cant setup the email account nor use any other internet application. My new carrier (TIM) cannot help me.

I used my 8520 curve with MTN without any trouble but with Tmobile now, I cant register my device. I've done the whole Host Routing Table routine several times and each time I get a message saying my device has been registered but when I try to add an account I get the same 'Device not registered' message. I've called Tmobile and they say all's fine at their end and they have no clue what to do next.

I bought my phone one month ago unlocked. Then I used it with a Claro (Argentina Operator) for 15 days. After a very long international call my number run out of credit and I got my accont disable. The problem is that after that moment the SIM card cannot register in the operator network anymore. If i try the SIM in another device it works. If i put a working CLARO SIM on my Z3 it doesnt work. But if I insert another operator SIM in my device it works! When i search for network i can see all the operators network, but it fail to connect to CLARO operator.

I had a BB 8900 Curve which i replaced yesterday with a Bold 9000 and now cannot register the device on the carrier network. Calls etc are fine, just BIS will not. My previous 8900 worked fine? I have been on the phone with the carrier the entire day and they have not been able to resolve it. All i did was change the device in the BIS website and now it is broken.

I have a Bold 9000, bought new and unlocked about 3 years ago. It was working fine with all services like BBM and push email working flawlessly on Idea Cellular. While out of town, my Bold 9000 seemed to run out of battery and wouldn't turn on even after attempting to charge it. It would continue to flash 11110000, where 1 indicates a flash of red LED and 0 meaning LED off. Once home, I had to reload the OS on the device. I have the latest OS5 running of the system. And since the device was security wiped, the settings were set to the defaults. But the handset fails to register and instead of 'EDGE' it shows 'edge' or sometimes 'GSM'. I am however, able to make phone calls and send/receive text messages. So far I have tried the following: 1. Hard reset the device numerous times and after every change of settings, leaving the battery out for 2-10 minutes 2. Ensured that the firewall is off 3. Send registration message from Host Routing Table, which is empty 4. Manually set the APN to 'blackberry.net' in TCP/IP 5. Enabled Data, Data roaming and network is 2G only. I have called up Idea customer care and they ensure that my services are working fine and asked me to only perform the steps listed above. This was confirmed by using my Idea sim card on a friend's Torch 9800. Her handset is successfully registered using my sim card and can use BB services. I tried her Airtel sim card and my Bold still failed to register on that network.

I have an unlocked device originally from T-mobile and now I am in Barbados and the phone will not register on Cable and Wirless' (LIME) 3G network. Even when I do a manual scan it is only showing up Digicel. In reading online it seems that T-Mobile uses different bands for their 3G than some of the other providers. Is there a way to change it? I have seen mention of changing the vendor ID as the bands maybe dictated by software but I have not found anyone that was successful in doing this?

I changed my phone from iphone to blackberry Curve 9220. I am using Airtel postpaid plan for data. Not, I am able to see edge in blackberry but I guess if it is not caps (EDGE), it means service provider is not registering it.
As checked in various forums, I did follow KB00510- to register a BlackBerry smartphone with the wireless network.
I also tried to follow KB05000 but couldn't becuase I was never able to set any Internet service e-mail account. I also tried following KB02830 - sending the service books for the BlackBerry Internet Service but couldn't because I don't see an option of choosing Internet mail account. When i click setup-> email accounts, it automatically takes me to enterprise account. I also tried doing it from provider's website (url...) but the dialogue box asked me repeat the step of registering at Host routing table, which i already did earlier.

I have the BlackBerry Service on a T-Mobile UK Simcard. I am just in Germany and cannot register my device with BIS. I tried anything and called the CS severel times. Everything is fine, my BlackBerry PIN is clear for any carrier and the BlackBerry plan is active. I even activated the BlackBerry World Class Booster for using it abroad. Is it possible that RIM register my device manually? How much does this cost if I use the case by case service?

I followed the instructions on how to flash my Instinct over to the Cricket network.
http://ucanflash.com/samsung-instinct-S30.html
Now the only issue I am having is registering my ESN to their network in order to use it. I am somewhat confused as to how I am supposed to do so. I called the customer service number provided on their web site and asked the young lady what I needed to do in order to use my phone on their network. She really didn't understand what I was asking, but she did promptly try to sell me a new package with a free phone. I need some clarification on this subject in order to finish the setting up of this phone.
I stopped at the part where you have to change your ESN:
"After changing your SPC code to six zeros "000000" and writing the new Cricket PRL on to the phone, do the ESN change through Cricket (ESN = Electronic Serial Number)". I want my daughter to be able to use this phone since it has given me such good service since I have had it for almost a year. I know they do work on the Cricket network because I have done my research, but I need some input from those of you who have inside information on how the process works with the activation of the phone.

I have attempted to register my new Photon Q numerous times, logging out, logging back in, and approaching from several different angles using different "Register" links on different pages, and trying MEID and IMEI.When using MEID HEX the server will check the S/N and reply that my IMEI S/N is in warranty, then several seconds later it will overlay the screen with a complaint from the server:"There was an issue with the serial number you entered or it was blank. Please try again."One can dismiss that complaint and continue with the attempted registration, selecting carrier, MFN, and Primary Device, adding purchase date and clicking submit, but that only take one to abject failure:"There has been an error with your request."Perhaps it is because the Photon Q is so new? Perhaps it is because your registration page has a problem.

To take full advantage of a 4G network must the device be designed for a 4G network.most new 3G smartphones indicate 4G compatible but does that mean they will perform at 4G speeds? If the samrtphone must be 4G does anyone know when 4G devices will be released?

So I use a Blackberry Curve 8530 and I have been having serious problems for the last two weeks. Every time I try to turn on my "Mobile Network" in Manage Connections, the device crashes then tries to reboot. It will continue trying to reboot until the progress bar in the Blackberry loading screen is full, then crashes again. It will do this until the battery is entirely drained.Because a drained battery causes the Mobile Network to automatically shut off, I can then plug the phone back into charge and it will turn on and be fine - until I try to turn on the Mobile Network, upon which the process repeats itself. Device info
-Your carrier: Telus
-Model info and OS version:BlackBerry 8530, v5.0.0.386
-Apps and free space
-File free before and after a battery remove/replace: 103829099 Bytes
-Did a battery pull fix your issue? No
-Apps installed and their version if possible. None.
-BT device model/version (you will have to look at the BT device):

I bought a Blackberry 8520 from black market. It's brandnew because it sealed and complete with accesories. The seller told me that the unit was free from Sun Cellular and was sell to him buy the previous owner. The unit is already openline/unlocked already. I'm using a smart sim card but when I tried to register my unit to [url]... I got an error that my unit is suspended or deactivated. I can use Wifi via hotspot browser but when I tried to use a facebook or twitter application I got an error "Your are currenty on the data plan service, contact your service provider to upgrade your data plan". I think the previous owner (which I don't know) is not paying his bill. Now I contact suncellular and as per them when the owner not paid their bills they only block the sim card and not the phone.
