Feb 27, 2011Today my entire contact list disappeared. Also, in the text messages app my recipients cellphone phone numbers are displayed but only some of the contact names are displayed.

Jun 19, 2010I have my 9700, which i love, I receive email both from my corporate exchange and now from my gmail account.How ever, I've asked for my contacts to be synced with google as well, and as result all my contacts are double now.I am willing to let go of my gmail contact, but can seem to find a way to delete the entire list, any advice?

Apr 7, 2014For the last few weeks I will save a new contact and then when I go to my contact list, they are not there. But if I hand type their number in the keypad, it will pop up. Why are they not automatically showing anymore? Then a few days ago, I was messing with the settings to try to fix this and I quadrupled my contacts. Every email address I ever sent to popped into my contacts. How do I get rid of those?

Jun 13, 2010my bb contact list just disappeared without no warning. my friends called me to say i have a new pic profile (some african looking dude with a profile message saying "atlas the great") on there phones. they gave me the pin for that profile but it was also diff. from the pin on my phone. i restored from my backup but the same pic and pin appeared on there phones again. after i re-invited everybody, my original profile pic appeared. i'm worried that this might happen again so i hope somebody can shed some light on this for me. phone. my service provider can't help me, when i called.

Nov 16, 2012I have a new problem to update with FP2. Suddenly last evening I noticed that all my contacts are showing as unnamed, although their details are intact. Just the names are missing. The whatsapp favorites/contacts list looks fine and the contact search before making a call is also identifying the contacts. The names have disappeared only from the master contacts list. I tried doing the usual restart couple of times.Also did a Nokia sync but the issue hasn't been resolved. I'm worried about restoring the backup lest the problem remains.

Feb 5, 2010I have had the Curve 8530 for about a week, and I noticed today that the majority of my contact list has disappeared. I started with almost 250 names, now I have about 25. Everything from A-D is gone, and about 75% of everything after that, just random names deleted. Also, when I pull up the contact list, I have to scroll down through a bunch of empty lines before I can see the numbers that are left, like all the deleted contacts are still there, just hidden. But if I search for names that aren't showing up, it doesn't find anything. I've tried a battery pull, and all that happened was the empty spaces in the list disappeared. I really don't want to have to reload my contacts every few days.

Apr 5, 2012The iPhone 3GS was syncronized in iTunes. I was using iCal too, but I'm not sure if there's any automatic or manual syncronizing there. Just right after unplugging the iPhone from iTunes after the syncronizing was finished, the entire SMS list was deleted on the phone. I'm not sure if the backup procedure is usually running at the same time together with the syncronizing. But anyway is it possible to retrieve back the SMS list?
I have tried out several backup and recovery applications for iPhone and programs for Mac, but none of them work to backup the latest SMS list.
I also have an entire external backup of the whole Macbook, and with a swipe of luck it was backed up just two days before the deletion.

BB Curve 8300 :: Can't See Entire Message List When Open Messages Icon
Jan 28, 2010I used to be able to see a combined list of my emails, SMS texts, missed phone calls, voicemails and just about anything else when I opened the Message folder icon on my Blackberry Curve 8330 desktop, but now when I open it, all I get is a blank white screen. When I hit the menu button, the menu pops up without a problem and if I click the track ball, it will open a message, but I can't see the list itself.Also, when I go to view folder I can access any of the individual folders and they come up just fine. The only problem is the combined message list you're supposed to get when you open up the icon on the desktop (or application menu).

Have searched a lot about this problem, but looks like nobody has faced this before.hen I open my contact list (or the message list) and then press the back button, they don't close. I have to press the home button to come out of them forcefully. I then can kill the messaging app by going in task manager but there is no such option for contact list. This problem occurs only for contact list and message list. Rest all apps I am able to close by pressing back button.

Aug 9, 2010I have a 5800 that I have been troubleshooting for the past Month. We have been to the provider who has now replaced the phone twice in the past two months. Calling out appears to be fine. However when customizing the phone I am unable to set picture and a ringtone to a contact in the contact list. The Contact is saved on the phone. When the person dials in the picture will display correctly but the ringtone will play a default ring not a custom file as selected. This has heppened on all 3 of the phones. I am down to the OS of the phone which the provider says is up to date.

After finishing the call, the screen goes back to main menu.... but the contacts-app sticks active in the background. In order to close that, i have to long-press the button, switch to contacts, and close. Which is a little bit fussily.....

Context:I have 2 primary sources of contact information on my blackberry, my personal (gmail contacts) and my work contacts (via google apps). I would like to keep these contact lists separate and apart from one another, but accessible if required. However, as this device is primarily for work, I'd like to not have my personal contacts appearing every time i open the Contacts app. The effect I am trying to achieve is after opening contacts --> click menu --> click "Select Contact List..." --> and choosing one.Is there a way to save this as a preference/default so I don't have to filter each time i open my contact list?

Sep 7, 2015I downloaded tons of apps for my galaxy s6 edge 64 gb so i made groups according to the app type but yesterday i went to a snow park where the temperature was like -7°C so when we got out, it showed that my sim card was removed so i restarted it. When it switched on, all those groups were gone except one which had facebook, tumblr and vine. When i see my installed apps on the play store, it shows all of them (the apps which disappeared) are still installed. They also appear in the app manager.
