My blackberry is like its screen is just off. My buttons work, they're lighting up and i can click everything, lock my phone, and everything. But the screen is always black.

View 3 Replies View Relatedwhere the capacitive button LEDs seem to randomly turn on/off, or don't turn on in the dark, or seem to flicker for no apparent reason? We had the same issue with our 1020. It appears to be directly related to battery saver mode in settings. When we turn battery saver off, the LEDs seem to work perfectly. When battery saver is on, we experience all the above strange issues. We also have a 920, and battery saver mode does not affect the LEDs on the 920 at all, hence why we're hesitant to say with100% authority that this is the issue with the 1020.

Sometimes when I start the unit up in the morning no icons appear on my home screen although when I go into my apps they are all there. I would have to restart the phone a couple of times before everything would appear. Now I seem to have a permanent problem the touch sensitive buttons on the bottom of my phone for getting to the settings and the 'back' button do not light any more, but they do function.

I have set up the settings so they are -supposed- to remain on at all times but alas they are lightless. I've done soft resets, pulled the battery, plugged it into my computer and the wall, BUT the buttons still work.

View 6 Replies View RelatedSince around 2 weeks I have a Torch 9860. Yesterday evening, when I was not using the device the Torch suddenly stopped functioning. When I turned it on again it said it was setting up but it didn't do anything. So after a few minutes I turned it off and on again but now it didn't react at all (so screen stays black, no button lightens up etc.). I can't get it turned on again, not even when I removed the battery for a few minutes. I also tried to charge it again as I wanted to be sure the battery was charged but this doesn't work either.

View 3 Replies View Relatedi've had a torch 9800 since last Christmas, and it's been working fine (with the occasional battery pull, of course). but now i have a strange problem. in the last couple weeks, i've noticed that the back arrow and the red key to the right of the trackpad no longer have a light showing behind them. (nor does the trackpad, but i don't remember if it ever did light up) it's not really a problem, as they still work, but it looks really weird!i have tried a battery pull many times, to no avail. and i also tried installing a brand new os, but likewise had no success with that method. in any case, it is now running the newest os possible (6.0 bundle 1907, v6.0.0.448). it's also running 3G, if that matters.

View 2 Replies View RelatedThis morning my screen will not stay off. Every few seconds it lights up for 10 seconds or so. It's completely frustrating. I've uninstalled every app I can think of that would have anything to do with custom notifications, screen lighting or the lockscreen with no success.
Between this and the phantom mail alert sound I can't kill I'm about to reset it factory defaults and set it up one app at a time to ensure I get it right.
I am a new BB owner and I set my LED backlight to 30 seconds, however it keeps coming back on, even after I have pressed the Mute button to lock the screen.

View 8 Replies View RelatedI have a slight problem with my Milestone XT720. When I lock the screen (whether I just lock it using the power button or I wait for it to lock itself or I set up the code to lock the phone) after a while the screen lights up for a few seconds and after that it fades to black again. This happens 3 or 4 times in a row and then again after a while (maybe 10 or 20 minutes). I own this phone only few days and haven´t got completely in grips with it but I could not find any setting that would turn this off and neither I found anything useful in the user guide. Is this something I can fix by disabling something or is it a fault of some kind?
Personally, it does not bother me that much but I imagine it shortens battery life a bit so I´d rather sort it out.
My iPhone 5.0 is repeatedly going blank, lighting up with a white background and a black apple logo, displaying stripes and different colors and going blank again. I can't access any of my apps or use my phone. I've tried turning the phone off and on. I've also tried holding down the power and menu button together. The problem is persisting.Â

But I've found that sometimes after I receive a call from someone and I've ended the call (by sliding the phone down), all my buttons stop working.The Keyboard, lock button, call, end, etc. No button works. But however, the touch screen works. I usually end up using the touch screen to turn off my phone and pull out my battery and put it back in.From there it works again. Its happened four times now. Has this happened to anyone else?

View 3 Replies View RelatedThe touch screen works, but none of the buttons work. I have restarted, I have removed the battery numerous times, but nothing. It was working this morning. No water damage, no drop damage, just stopped working. I am limited in what I can do and almost every time I want to close an application, i need to remove the battery because there is no way to close. It's very frustrating. I can still take and make calls but have difficulty even hanging up after a call!I took it to ATT and it is no longer under warranty. I may just take it in to a repair place

I've been a customer of blackberry and Telus for the past ten years.Blackberry, or Telus doesn't seem to give a care about the substandard quality of their product or their customers.I had a Storm and traded it in due to the buttons simply not working. Bought a Torch and six months later the buttons failed. Sent it in for warrantee and Telus blamed me for a problem I didn't even have to avoid the warantee until I complained so much they reoplaced it a few months back. Now this piece of **bleep** is giving me the same heartache.Called for support and they said to send it in for warrantee work. I'm a realtor and can't anmswer my phone half the time. I can't use the back button or the menu buttons. I get charged every time I send the phone back for an evaluation even though it's not my problem and its under warrantee.

View 1 Replies View RelatedA few days ago whilst texting the buttons on my blackberry torch just stopped working. I thought maybe it was water damage because a bottle of water leaked in my bag whilst my blackberry was there but that was earlier in the day and it was fine afterwards. Anyway, when the keyboard stopped working I took the battery out for a day and put it back in and it still isn't working. I put it in a bag of rice for 24 hours and it's the same. Whats weird is that when I put it in safe mode the keyboard will all work for about 5 mins then stop again. And everything else works but the buttons - the phone itself is fine and I still get emails but I can't open them because the back button and everything doesnt work.
