View 3 Replieshow can I turn off the keyboard from lighting up, when the device screen is on. I don't want the keyboard light to turn on when I'm using the device because it wastes battery. And my second and most important question is, why is the battery life so poor? My curve battery get's me through one day, and all I do is SMS, facebook, and IM. I don't use it 24/7 during the day either. I've had to charge it every night! Do I have to give the battery time to be "broken in"?

After I use the track pad to scroll upper left then upper right the bottom right and bottom left the screen is normal. Has anyone else had this issue?

View 9 Replies View RelatedThis morning my screen will not stay off. Every few seconds it lights up for 10 seconds or so. It's completely frustrating. I've uninstalled every app I can think of that would have anything to do with custom notifications, screen lighting or the lockscreen with no success.
Between this and the phantom mail alert sound I can't kill I'm about to reset it factory defaults and set it up one app at a time to ensure I get it right.
My blackberry is like its screen is just off. My buttons work, they're lighting up and i can click everything, lock my phone, and everything. But the screen is always black.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI understand lots of people have had the same problem, but I just cannot find a solution which works for my Blackberry 8520!It has a white screen showing nothing, it boots once you put the battery in, and the only way to power it off is to take out the battery, I think it also keeps rebooting.I have replaced the screen - still white screen.I have re-installed the OS - still white screen
View 14 Replies View Relatedmy dog got hold of my 8530 and put a toothmark in the screen cover. The screen was also damaged meaning I could see white and grey stripes. I bought a new screen and replaced the old one. Now when I turn it on, I get the white screen and i cannot dial out or recieve calls. Basically the phone is dead. I was able to connect to my desktop and install the latest OS version. I put the old screen back in and I still cannot recieve or dial. I must have done something while taking it apart or putting back together? It is a very simple procedure so I would think it difficult to screw it up. Before I took it apart, i could get phone calls and dial out but i couldnt see the outgoing or incoming call screen. I took the battery out before I took it apart. Now when I connect to my desktop, the connection comes and goes as if you were plugging and plugping in the device.

View 8 Replies View RelatedI have a slight problem with my Milestone XT720. When I lock the screen (whether I just lock it using the power button or I wait for it to lock itself or I set up the code to lock the phone) after a while the screen lights up for a few seconds and after that it fades to black again. This happens 3 or 4 times in a row and then again after a while (maybe 10 or 20 minutes). I own this phone only few days and haven´t got completely in grips with it but I could not find any setting that would turn this off and neither I found anything useful in the user guide. Is this something I can fix by disabling something or is it a fault of some kind?
Personally, it does not bother me that much but I imagine it shortens battery life a bit so I´d rather sort it out.
My iPhone 5.0 is repeatedly going blank, lighting up with a white background and a black apple logo, displaying stripes and different colors and going blank again. I can't access any of my apps or use my phone. I've tried turning the phone off and on. I've also tried holding down the power and menu button together. The problem is persisting.Â
Info:
iPhone 5
just upgraded software on 8900 to 5.0.0.509 and the homescreen keeps lighting up by itself more or less every 5-10 mins and im not too sure why its doing it
any help how to stop this anyone out there?
I recently dropped my phone on concrete and ever since this happened, my keyboard LEDs have not been lighting up. Is there anything I can do?
View 1 Replies View RelatedThis is my second blackberry curve 8530 and they both have the same problem, they won't play videos. They use to but now when I go to like you tube, or nothingtoxic.com, or even my video recordings it won't play it says an error has occurred media attempt failed. I use to restart my BB and that would help for a lil while now it doesn't work at all. How do I fix this?
View 4 Replies View Relatedmy curve 8530 has the white screen, and i followed the steps that were posted on my last thread [URL]but it stops when it says "connect to JVM" and it says "application loader was unable to connect to your device. please reconnect your device, enter password, if required, and click Retry." and i did that, but it doesnt work.
View 1 Replies View RelatedThe other day I updated my Quick Pull app. I forgot to reset the times in which i wanted it to reboot. Last night I remembered and set the time. I normally set it for 3, but since it was 3 it wouldn't be able to reboot until this evening. After I was done with my phone, I rebooted it manually by going to the app and clicking reboot. My battery was also low in the red so I stuck the charger in it. When I woke up this morning my phone was dead, if had fell on the floor and the charger came out. I put the charger back in a waited a little while for it to charge. When it came on, it only went to the Cricket screen, but would not go to the home screen. I took the battery out multiple times, I waited patiently, yet my phone is still stuck on the cricket screen.. Is there anyway to reset it so that it can work again?
View 2 Replies View RelatedAfter using my phone today...I locked it, and put it in my pocket. When I went to use it again the screen display was multicoloured...and then turned white! I can make and receive calls, but nothing is displayed on the screen except white. I took the battery out....nothing! I tried to hook it up to my computer to update the software- and the computer couldn't connect to it!

View 1 Replies View RelatedI looked through the forum and couldn't find this question answered before, so please forgive me if it has.Is there any way to do away with the Home screen altogether? I'd like to be able to just have the Apps shown. I'm sure there's probably a theme out there to do it, but I'd rather not have to use a theme.
I've got an 8530 from Sprint.
Hey everyone, I'm a new Curve 8530 user with sprint and have had my 8530 for about 6 days now and I just happened too look down at the screen while it was locked and the bottom left corner is full of dust on the inside.... Has anyone else seen this on the 8520/30 yet? Is it difficult to get a replacement device?
View 14 Replies View RelatedWhat's the best way to get rid of the dust under the screen of a 8530? I recently noticed this and my carrier said it was caused by dust getting in through the speaker area on top of the phone and that there was nothing they could do, they tried using a canned air, but didn't budge. I asked both U.S. Cellular and Verizon reps what I should do and they say that I need to replace the phone. (Contact my Insurance Company, which is DTS Insurance I believe my carrier uses.)
So far to correct the issue I've applied a case that covers up most cracks and a privacy protector which made it so I can see the dust under the screen. but, still I'd like to know how to fix the issue.
So far the only thing I can think of is to take the housing apart and probably just put a new housing on, but clean the lcd underneath the plastic screen.
I have a ton of dust under my screen right now, and it is really starting to bother me. Is there any way to get the dust out of the screen? I don't mind taking the phone apart if it gets rid of it. I already tried to take the phone to the VZW store, but they didn't do anything.
View 4 Replies View RelatedSo basically I must have pressed Alt and Enter and the language options came up. I cleared that screen and now every time I go to type whether in an email, bbm, sms, or my browser I have a little EN box in the top right hand corner of my screen. And it's pretty darn annoying. How do I get rid of this?
View 4 Replies View RelatedJust out of curiosity, what do you put on your lock screen? I currently have my name and my husband's phone number, since putting my own number on there would be pointless. So, what do you have on yours?
View 12 Replies View RelatedBecause my first Blackberry Curve 8530 would not go passed the reboot screen, they sent me another one, once I connected it to my Blackberry Desktop Software in order to add my contacts and other backup information, it caused my Blackberry to shut down and now it will not go pass the reboot screen. It will finish, but then it will turn off and the process starts all over again.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm have a black screen with an hour glass off and on for 2 weeks! Sprint is my service provider and they switched my phone with a refurbished phone with the same problem. I'm wondering why I have to join a forum and not be able to speak with anyone from BB?! Sprint has the worst customer service reps! And as a customer for 10 years with a company that you pay your bill on time, in full, 3 lines, with insurance why I'm being given a used phone?! I'm beyond annoyed and frustrated with this phone and Sprint.
