BB Curve :: 8530 Will Not Go Pass The Reboot Screen?
May 23, 2012
Because my first Blackberry Curve 8530 would not go passed the reboot screen, they sent me another one, once I connected it to my Blackberry Desktop Software in order to add my contacts and other backup information, it caused my Blackberry to shut down and now it will not go pass the reboot screen. It will finish, but then it will turn off and the process starts all over again.
I understand lots of people have had the same problem, but I just cannot find a solution which works for my Blackberry 8520!It has a white screen showing nothing, it boots once you put the battery in, and the only way to power it off is to take out the battery, I think it also keeps rebooting.I have replaced the screen - still white screen.I have re-installed the OS - still white screen
I have 8530 and OS 5, last night i just downloaded some software, acurate weather and 1 theme and true caller from application world, system asked for restart and after that i restarted and it moves upto the window when my carrier logo appears and stuck there only, i removed battery many times and tried but same situation its not getting started, tried to connect with desktop software but show disconnected as its not completely starting.i removed battery and hold on charging and then inserted battery and restarted but same situation.
Last night, my blackberry was freezing up, so I took the battery out to reboot it. I fell asleep with it rebooting on the charger, but when I woke up around eight hours later it still wasn't finished rebooting. The white line was only about 3/4 of the way full and it wasn't moving, so I took the battery out to reboot it again. It was going fine until it reached that spot again, and stopped about 3/4 of the way full. I took the battery out for an extended period of time and tried again, but the same thing happened
My 8530 froze up, I pulled the battery and when i reinstalled the battery the phone will start to reboot then the screen goes blank and it starts over again.
My fiance's phone is having issues, i've been trying to get a backup created and do an os upgrade on the phone to the latest release but I'm having no luck. everytime i hook the phone up to a system (have tried 3 with the same issue) the phone reboots once the drivers are loading on the system for the phone. This continues to happen as the phone is loading up and puts the phone into a loop until i unhook the phone from usb. Just wondering if anyone has any ideas how i could get a backup for the phone to atleast save her contacts and other information, or any idea what i can do to get a new os loaded.
I turned off my blackberry this morning and then removed the battery, replaced the battery and the phone began to reboot. It has been stuck on the screen that says BlackBerry with the loading bar at the bottom about 3/4 of the way loaded for about 45 minutes. I tried rebooting it a few times at first but it kept stopping at the same point in the loading bar, about 3/4 of the way.
Just purchased a used Curve 8530. Previous owner could not remember the password so after going through the process of too many tries and a wipe of the system, the phone now will not boot up. Get an hour glass and then a quick screen flash before it starts the same routine. When I try to connect to Desktop Manager it keeps connecting and dropping so I am unable to reload software.
When I took my BlackBerry Curve 2 (8530) off the charger and turned it on this morning, for some reason it reset at the 51% mark during the security software verification. I'm worried that it somehow contracted a virus, or the phone's security software has been compromised. Is there any way to wipe the handset without the phone being powered on 100% (via the keypad or something)? The phone is under 3 months old and should be covered by the manufacturer's warranty - but until I get this fixed, I have no phone to use.
I have a Curve 8530 with Boost Mobile. I took the battery out for a min like I do every night to reboot it, put the battery back in and it started to reboot. After bout a min or so it shut down and started rebooting again. It keeps doing it over and over again. I call Boost support and they can't help me, they want to send me a refurbished phone. My phone is only 4 months old. I have never dropped it or gotten it wet. I've tried hooking it up to my computer to wipe it out and reset it or whatever it's called but It won't connect to the computer because before it can reboot all the way it shuts down again.
I've tried things on the internet, but no success.I've installed an app and remove from BB which doesn't remove icon. Some say the BB has to be Rebooted to clean up left over things. I find this unusual that a normal user wouldn't know how to uninstall apps properly especially having to reboot.I want to be able to restart (reboot) my BB without pulling the battery.
For about the past two-three weeks, my Curve 8530 has started randomly rebooting - during calls, not during calls - I have not identified a pattern about when. When it comes back up 5-10 minutes later, the battery was always completely drained. I ordered a new battery and fully charged it. Day one with the new battery was uneventful - no random reboots, no loss of all battery charge after one 15 minute phone call, although the battery was low by the end of the day.
Today is day two with the new battery and I had another random reboot, however, this time at least my battery wasn't drained when it came back up. What causes these random reboots? Is there any way to get them to stop?
I am with Verizon and already did the *228 programming update before the new battery.
I've noticed that when the Blackberry loading page start up and the little status bar reaches full, it takes a few seconds longer to bring me to the home page. Before, it would fill up, then like 2 seconds later the carrier splash page would come up and then my homescreen. Now, it stays on the black Blackberry loading page for at least 10 seconds before the carrier logo comes up. Is this normal? I don't my phone to die on me or something.
Can somebody help me, I think my phones gones mad. I have a envelope on my screen with 1 beside it sinse tthis morning, I tought it was a new sms but when I opened the sms box there was no messages, I have turned my phone of,rebooted it and deleted every single sms in my phone I have absoluty no messages in the phone and that bloody 1 envelope is on my screen,
Background: bought a new phone and received it Friday, activated it no problem. Tried using the BDM to "switch devices" and it was LOADS of problems installed the newest one. THOUGHT I finally was able to transfer all the info to my new phone, but here's where the real problem starts Okay, when it starts to reboot, that progress bar fills ALLLL the way up, sits there for like 2 minutes, and then restarts AGAIN with the little red light, the progress bar fills ALLLL the way up, sits there for like 2 minutes, and then restarts YET AGAIN and it's been doing this for the last 10 hours! I have removed the battery and media card and EVERYTHING, left it out for like 10 minutes, reinserted the media card and battery and it just keeps doing this. If I try to connect it to the computer, the computer won't recognize it and the BDM says, "Blackberry Desktop Manager cannot communicate with the connected blackberry device. If the device is rebooting or has a dead battery, click Retry to attempt to reconnect once the device reboots. Otherwise you might need to update the blackberrry device software to correct the problem"How in the world am i supposed to update the software on the device if i can't stop it from rebooting?
I have recently gotten a BlackBerry Curve 9300, about 2 months ago.I haven't really had any problems like this before, except once. My BlackBerry turned off while I was using it, and when I turned it back on it would load and then stop.So I pulled out the battery, and put it back in.When I turned it on it loaded, and was fine after that. However, just now, again while I was on it it randomly shut off..I figured it would be like the last time, so I pulled the battery out, and put it back in.When the loading screen came up, it loaded a little past half way, stopped, and then shut off again.I hadn't taken out the battery just yet, but it started to turn on again, so I figured I'd just let it load again, sadly, it did the exact same thing;Loaded a bit past halfway, and resumed the cycle.I thought if I let it do that a couple times it would eventually load through. It did not.So I pulled out the battery, put it back in, but it still has been continuing the same pattern, and won't go past the loading screen.I tried plugging it into the computer, which did not work.I also tried booting it in safe mode, which also did not work.I waited for the LED light to go out, and held the Escape key, while it loaded, but no dialog appeared. So I assume the safe mode is not working either.I've tried just about eveything, I even took the sim card out and left the battery out for a bit.
How can I get the same effect as a battery pull with out actually doing it or loading an app? I have tried the QuickPull app and it IS NOT WORKING. I can get it to download but it wont run. I know there has to be some quick way to do it. I have an otterbox defender case on it and its a pain to take it off.
I've had my 8530 for a little over a month, every once in awhile after I end a call the screen goes blank but when I use the track pad the screen comes back in sections. After I use the track pad to scroll upper left then upper right the bottom right and bottom left the screen is normal. Has anyone else had this issue?
I'm really annoyed right now.No matter what theme I use on my Sprint 8530 5.0 OS the active call/incoming call screen is the ugly default screen. Can somebody please tell me how to fix it or is plazmic working on the issue? It really sucks to have cool themes and this one screen is all jacked up.
was in the middle of updating my blackberry and it came up with a message saying it had failed, so I unplugged my phone and from then onwards it gets stuck on the reboot screen and I cannot use my phone. All that happens is that the white bar at the bottom (the one that shows how much longer the reboot is going to be) , when it gets to the end instead of starting up my phone it just stays like it and nothing happens for a while. Then a white screen comes up and says " app error 200 "
i have a curve 8520 unlocked version.yesterday fone did reboot but after completion of rebooting it gets frozen and mobile screen does not proceed wat can i do to get my fone back in action
i restarted my phone by alt-shift-del and my phone is now stuck on the reboot screen, the bar under the blackberry logo fully loads, stays like that for 5-10 minutes then restarts and loads all over again, no error message pops up no white screen just the logo and the bar constantly resetting?
my dog got hold of my 8530 and put a toothmark in the screen cover. The screen was also damaged meaning I could see white and grey stripes. I bought a new screen and replaced the old one. Now when I turn it on, I get the white screen and i cannot dial out or recieve calls. Basically the phone is dead. I was able to connect to my desktop and install the latest OS version. I put the old screen back in and I still cannot recieve or dial. I must have done something while taking it apart or putting back together? It is a very simple procedure so I would think it difficult to screw it up. Before I took it apart, i could get phone calls and dial out but i couldnt see the outgoing or incoming call screen. I took the battery out before I took it apart. Now when I connect to my desktop, the connection comes and goes as if you were plugging and plugping in the device.
I just got a BB 8900 and I love it, but there is something that annoys me. When I set my home screen picture and then reboot for whatever reason, the home screen wallpaper reverts back to the default. How do I prevent that from happening?
Whenever I try to reset my blackberry it will freeze at 75% and the screen will go off and it will do it all over again, when I connect my bb to desktop software it will come up with a message saying the device software needs updating during the update it says "reconnecting to JVM" and the desktop software will disconnect my blackberry is there anyway to stop this from happening.
My blackberry curve will power on and boot but as soon as it gets to the main screen, it locks. If I hit any button, the screen goes black and I am not able to do anything. I have removed the battery several times. It comes up with a meeting reminder and as soon as I try to get rid of it everything is locked....
I tried installing an app and after installation, I was asked to reboot my bb. After the reboot, the error message Reload Software 552 came up on my screen. I don't have the box of the bb any more and I had never backed it up on the PC. I have tried all the solutions I found but to no avail.
curve 9300 with three mobile free space 69148472 version "6.0 bundle 1879" platform "6.6.0.124
problem is itermitent as in doesnt happen 100% everytime but when it happens it happens frequently and repeatedly
i can be using my phone and when i recieve a call or text it will freeze the screen will go completly white the red light on the front of the device will show then it will reboot it self this also happens when trying to open messages and emails and even when scrolling up and down the apps.
i have wiped my device with the blackberry software and reloaded it several times with different software bundles and each time the problem reacures even if i dont restore my personal settings and i have also removed the memory card.
I was in the wifi manager, intending to search for wifi in the area, when an error message flashed up (I didn't get time to read it all although it said reset? at the end). Then my phone went to a white screen with the timer clock on it and it has been like that since (about 6 hours). I tried taking the battery out, and the battery and the SIM card - leaving both out for 2 hours, but as soon as I put the battery back in the timer clock screen came back.
