When I try to go to Options inside my Mail icon, it does not react anymore...does nothing...and I cant update may mail ptions, etc...how to restablish it? Can I reinstall all the system without loosing my data, for example?

I'm trying to add a second email account but no matter which path I choose, whenever I press on options, nothing happens. my phone doesn't recognise it.Also, the email account I currently have keeps losing my emails once i've read them.i've checked my settings and there is nothing to change. When i go online, the same emails have been deleted from my mailbox.
Whenever I select "Options" from the BB Menu button's drop down list on my Torch 9800, the screen flashes, then goes back to my home screen. It has been this way for quite a while (nearly a year) and I am thinking that there is a permission that was inadverdently disabled. It does not work whether i use the native BB6 theme or others i have downloaded. how to make "Options" option start working again?

Iam able to click on icons but the trackpad will not scroll. In my software updates it says iam due an update for '7.1.0 Bundle 2061', should i update the phone? could this be the cause? I have also heard that maybe it is due to my battery, could this also be the cause.

what is wrong with it and whether there is a quick fix I can do without taking back to the shop. It should still be in warranty so not bothered about that it is just time without a proper phone.
I've had my Torch for 7 months now, without a data plan, and ALL wi-fi apps worked fine through my home wifi router. (Facebook, IM+, BB App World). However, recently BBM and email have stopped working on my phone. Facebook, the App Store, WhatsApp, etc. all work fine, but BBM and email do not.
I have noticed that I no longer have the Blackberry BB icon in the top right-hand corner of my phone (where it shows wifi connection, etc). How do I get BBM/email working again?

I thought maybe it was water damage because a bottle of water leaked in my bag whilst my blackberry was there but that was earlier in the day and it was fine afterwards. Anyway, when the keyboard stopped working I took the battery out for a day and put it back in and it still isn't working. I put it in a bag of rice for 24 hours and it's the same. Whats weird is that when I put it in safe mode the keyboard will all work for about 5 mins then stop again. And everything else works but the buttons - the phone itself is fine and I still get emails but I can't open them because the back button and everything doesnt work.

The touch screen is fine no problems at all i presumed that it had broken and that was that...then one morning my screen flashed black l(like it had been locked) and the keyboard started working then after 5 mins it stopped. View 1 Replies View RelatedI have had my BB Torch 9800 for about 6 months now and I really like it. It seemed to be working fine and all of a sudden about a month ago the keys would stop working. I have taken the battery out for a reset and that works for a little while, but they stop working again. The phone has not water or physical damage to it so I have no idea why it has started doing this. I called AT&T several different times and all they could tell me was to troubleshoot the software. I have done that and did all of the necessary updates.
