I can't get to my email, bbm, text, browser, etc needless to say it's extremely frustrating, I have cleaned the trackball with alcohol and it seemed to work in the beginning but it doesn't work now. Is there a way to use the keyboard to get to the icons such as email without using the trackball.

Nov 27, 2012my trackpad on my blackberry torch 9800 has stopped working, i have taken the battery out & restarded the phone lots of time but it is not helping. Iam able to click on icons but the trackpad will not scroll. In my software updates it says iam due an update for '7.1.0 Bundle 2061', should i update the phone? could this be the cause? I have also heard that maybe it is due to my battery, could this also be the cause.

Aug 8, 2011I have only had the Torch since Feb and the trackpad this morning decided to stop working. First of all it was goign hey wire and openeing folders up and sending e-mails without me not touching it and now it just wont work at all, I cant even click down on it.
what is wrong with it and whether there is a quick fix I can do without taking back to the shop. It should still be in warranty so not bothered about that it is just time without a proper phone.

However, recently BBM and email have stopped working on my phone. Facebook, the App Store, WhatsApp, etc. all work fine, but BBM and email do not.
I have noticed that I no longer have the Blackberry BB icon in the top right-hand corner of my phone (where it shows wifi connection, etc). How do I get BBM/email working again?

Jul 29, 2012A few days ago whilst texting the buttons on my blackberry torch just stopped working. I thought maybe it was water damage because a bottle of water leaked in my bag whilst my blackberry was there but that was earlier in the day and it was fine afterwards. Anyway, when the keyboard stopped working I took the battery out for a day and put it back in and it still isn't working. I put it in a bag of rice for 24 hours and it's the same. Whats weird is that when I put it in safe mode the keyboard will all work for about 5 mins then stop again. And everything else works but the buttons - the phone itself is fine and I still get emails but I can't open them because the back button and everything doesnt work.

The touch screen is fine no problems at all i presumed that it had broken and that was that...then one morning my screen flashed black l(like it had been locked) and the keyboard started working then after 5 mins it stopped. This has happened for the past 3 mornings now so i thought it could poss be a software issue. I have rebooted my phone (bat pull) done a full wipe of everything and still no joy
My device version is v6.0.0.246 bundle 695 it says it is the latest software

Sep 25, 2011I have had my BB Torch 9800 for about 6 months now and I really like it. It seemed to be working fine and all of a sudden about a month ago the keys would stop working. I have taken the battery out for a reset and that works for a little while, but they stop working again. The phone has not water or physical damage to it so I have no idea why it has started doing this. I called AT&T several different times and all they could tell me was to troubleshoot the software. I have done that and did all of the necessary updates.
