For some reason my blackberry torch has stopped receiving emails. I have reset the phone and gone through the set up as usual but the email icon is not responding. I can click and highlight the icon but its not reponding.

View 1 Replies View RelatedOn my 9000, and I thought on my Torch as well - until today - there was a subpage in mail options called message services which permitted you to select which email account settings to modify (for example BES or BIS). Then once I selected my BES account there was an option to "send email to handheld" or not. Something I turned off every evening and back on in the morning (don't want work emails bugging me all night).BUT, now I can't find where that option is on my Torch. Very strange. I've searched everywhere, I think. Any help would be great. At minimum, will someone who has multiple email accounts (BES) check their Torch to see if the setting I refer to is there? When a call is coming in, I can`t see how the person or the number is that`s calling me even if I have the persons contact number on my BB? It only shows Unknown Number every time some one calls me. But when I call someone it shows the number or the contact.

I have stopped them twice, before upgrade to 6 and after upgrade to 6. I went to "Your Stuff" "Preferences" and unticked all the notifications and pressed save but I get an error message when I try to save my preferences. THEY WON'T TURN OFF!
I would like my iPhone NOT to beep when I get a new email. I don't use the Mail app, and the Mail app is disabled in the Notifications menu.I do NOT want to disable ALL notifications, and I need my phone to be able to send emails from Camera and other apps, so I don't want to disconnect email. I just want it to stop notifying me of every single new email.If it matters, I use gmail and access my mail with Safari, not the Mail app. To reiterate, I have already excluded the Mail app from my Notifications center.

as I said above the E-mail hasn't been able to stop updating itself and it's depleting my battery quicker than usual. I've tried turning off the push option and turned the iPhone off and on several times. It still does the updating on its own.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI had my BlckBerry Torch 9800 with; OS 6.0 with Bundle 1907 plugged in all night charging and when I got up this morning the phone was rebooting. While after awhile of this I watch the phone go 3/4 of the way to start up then it reboots. Over and Over.Fixes I have tried:
1) removed battery wait 30 sec and put back in. NO LUCK
2) removed battery wait 6 min and put back in. NO LUCK
I recently got the Torch two weeks ago from Rogers and generally I don't have any problems with. But I've found that sometimes after I receive a call from someone and I've ended the call (by sliding the phone down), all my buttons stop working.The Keyboard, lock button, call, end, etc. No button works. But however, the touch screen works. I usually end up using the touch screen to turn off my phone and pull out my battery and put it back in.From there it works again. Its happened four times now. Has this happened to anyone else?

Whenever I read, or reply emails in Outlook 2010 on my laptop/pc, a copy of that same email gets sent to my handheld again (ending up with 2 copies of same email).
how I can stop this from happening? It's a pain to read or reply to 5 emails and then have the same 5 emails sent to my handheld. If I read them on my 9900, delete or reply to them, no duplicate is sent again.

However, despite turning off all the email notifications in preferences (and saving) and getting the green box message that all preferences have been saved, I am still getting notifications of all threads in this section in my email inbox (and some in the spam box).

When I put in all my details to set up my e-mail exchange account all the contacts are deleted. I have tried a few times and ensured that the box's next to contacts calenders and reminders are not checked ( so they don't sync) but it is all still deleted. It seems I can have either my e-mail working or my contacts installed and that can't be right.

Safari gets a bank page and i don't even see my favorites web pages. On email, no sync on my both email accounts that i have configured. Other apps have access to internet.
