as I said above the E-mail hasn't been able to stop updating itself and it's depleting my battery quicker than usual. I've tried turning off the push option and turned the iPhone off and on several times. It still does the updating on its own.
I have an S5 and periodically it stops updating my email. I have 3 accounts + gmail [which updates fine], and all of them are set to auto sync every 15 min. If I power down and restart, all emails sync to current time,
There was an update to my phone about ten days ago. Now when I try to reply to any message I get "Cannot Send Mail. A copy has been placed in your Outbox. The recipient xxx@xxxx.com was rejected by the server because it does not allow relaying". This has never happened before in the year I have owned the phone.
I have a problem with my Moto X for some reason my widgets stop updating on the screen. My clock will stop updating as well as my facebook widget. The only way that I can fix this is through a reboot.
I recently updated my blackberry messenger and it stopped working. Then I removed it from the phone through the desktop application. Now whenever I try to install it, the blackberry app world says it is already installed.
I have a Chronus clock and an Accuweather widget that wil randomly stop updating. The only way to resolve this is to reboot the phone. The Chronus clock works ok, but the battery meter will randomly stop updating. The Accuweather wigdet will also stop. If I remove and re-add the Accuweather app, all I get is the "Loading" screen.
I am on a Nexus 6 on the T-Mo network. Currently running OS 5.1.1, build LYZ28J.
I would like my iPhone NOT to beep when I get a new email. I don't use the Mail app, and the Mail app is disabled in the Notifications menu.I do NOT want to disable ALL notifications, and I need my phone to be able to send emails from Camera and other apps, so I don't want to disconnect email. I just want it to stop notifying me of every single new email. If it matters, I use gmail and access my mail with Safari, not the Mail app. To reiterate, I have already excluded the Mail app from my Notifications center.
Phone vibrates on receiving email and will not stop till iv read the email, I've got notification as no vibrate but it still vibrates on receiving email on hotmail and gmail (notifications in both set up on vibration is off )
I have recently upgraded to the i phone 4S. I have restored from my back up on my Macbook. When I put in all my details to set up my e-mail exchange account all the contacts are deleted. I have tried a few times and ensured that the box's next to contacts calenders and reminders are not checked ( so they don't sync) but it is all still deleted. It seems I can have either my e-mail working or my contacts installed and that can't be right.
I have an iPhone5 with OS 7.1.1 (11D201) and my Safari and email have stop working. No acess to web or email even with wi-fi or 3G connection available. Safari gets a bank page and i don't even see my favorites web pages. On email, no sync on my both email accounts that i have configured. Other apps have access to internet.
Is there a way to stop email and text notifications when I am on a phone call? I have a long email alert and message tone, and when I'm on a call and they go off, it's so loud and long I can't hear who I'm talking to. They can't hear the alert but it goes on for so long they waffle on and I miss a lot of conversation. Why is this not automatically disabled or set to silent when taking a call?
My iCloud email pushes mail to my iPhone and my iMac. But, when I delete an email from my iMac, my badge does not update on the Mail icon on my iPhone, unless I acually open mail on the iPhone. The iPhone acts like the Push function only works for receiving emails and not for deleting them from the iMac.Â
I have deleted my iCloud account on my iPhone and then reinstalled it, and that did not fix it. What can I do to fix the Push issue that I am having?Â
PSÂ I am using the latest Mail and Mavericks on my iMac and the latest iOS on my iPhone.
Info: iMac, OS X Mavericks (10.9.2), 16 gigs of Ram - 3 gig Fusion Drive
I recently downgraded my curve 9300 back to OS 5, I know there is a setting somewhere that you can stop bbm messages from going into where I receive emails. I have stopped them twice, before upgrade to 6 and after upgrade to 6. Now i cant find where it is.Also when I downgraded back to OS 5, I came out with version 5.0.0, how can I check for a later version of 5?
I sined up for this forum last night and ever since my inbox has been clogged up with message notifications. How do I turn them off?
I went to "Your Stuff" "Preferences" and unticked all the notifications and pressed save but I get an error message when I try to save my preferences. THEY WON'T TURN OFF!
For some reason my blackberry torch has stopped receiving emails. I have reset the phone and gone through the set up as usual but the email icon is not responding. I can click and highlight the icon but its not reponding.
I am using my BB as a phone on top of using it to send/receive emails. Is there a way to stop receiving emails (e.g. over the WE or after office hour) but still using the BB as a phone? Ideally, I would like to be able to switch off automatically the mail reception from for instance 8 pm to 7 am.
I have had a problem with the email not updating properly. It only seems to pull in the emails when I connect to the internet. When I first connect, I get a the email messages coming through. If I stay connected, I don't get anymore emails. It used to always alert me when I got a new email, but now nothing happens. I have checked the settings and it says that it should automatically update every 5 mins. Even if I press send/recieve and I know I have an email that should be there, nothing shows.
I received the latest lollipop update and have since not been able to update my emails without turning my phone off and back on. Sometimes it will work for about 8 hours and then it stops working again. I have deleted and reinstalled the standard email app, cleared caches, and dumped all downloaded apps as well as starting in safe mode, debug mode. I am hesitant to factory reset, but will if there is no other option. Verizon is my carrier.
I just got a new bold and I haven't had any problems except for I get a ton of emails from a server saying it is connecting to my device. it look like this.. network@etp1109.etp.na.blackberry.net
This message is used to carry data between the BlackBerry handheld and an associated server. Please do not delete, move or respond to this message - it will be processed by the server. How do I get this to stop? It is so annoying and happens like 50 times a day.
