View 4 Replies View Relatedmy screen has stopped rotating when I put the device into a landscape axis. I have seen many post about people who want to disable this feature but I like it and now my device has stopped doing it.
how to restore this feature?
I had my BlckBerry Torch 9800 with; OS 6.0 with Bundle 1907 plugged in all night charging and when I got up this morning the phone was rebooting. While after awhile of this I watch the phone go 3/4 of the way to start up then it reboots. Over and Over.Fixes I have tried:
1) removed battery wait 30 sec and put back in. NO LUCK
2) removed battery wait 6 min and put back in. NO LUCK
When trying to take photo, caption comes up 'Could Not Capture The Image'. Camera has been working perfect all year.Have rebooted, repaired and formatted media card. Also update OS. Have deleted any unused Apps.

View 1 Replies View RelatedOn my 9000, and I thought on my Torch as well - until today - there was a subpage in mail options called message services which permitted you to select which email account settings to modify (for example BES or BIS). Then once I selected my BES account there was an option to "send email to handheld" or not. Something I turned off every evening and back on in the morning (don't want work emails bugging me all night).BUT, now I can't find where that option is on my Torch. Very strange. I've searched everywhere, I think. Any help would be great. At minimum, will someone who has multiple email accounts (BES) check their Torch to see if the setting I refer to is there? I'm not sure If I messed something up which caused the option to disappear. At a minimum, will someone who has multiple email accounts check their Torch to see if the setting I refer to is there? View 4 Replies View RelatedWhenever I go to my notification bar to check a Facebook or text message the entire screen is full of annoying birthday notifications. I have checked/unchecked everything but they constantly appear. How can I keep the calendar from posting notifications?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI can't stop sync deleting past calendar entries. Using torch 9800 and OS6 2949 with outlook 2007. I tried configuring for hours but syncing still comes up trying to delete entries more than few months old, which I want to keep. I tried 'upcoming entries only' (then it wants to delete over 1000 entries!!) and can't get the 'advanced' filters option to make any difference.

View 10 Replies View RelatedI am looking for a thread or would like to create one that will instruct a newbie on how to clean up (or hide) those apps I don't want or use, on the main screen. Also would like to know recommendations as to best apps to have, that don't suck memory. (Maybe an app to free up wasted space?)
View 13 Replies View RelatedOn my Blackberry Toch 9800, it seems to freeze up on several occassions, most recently when downloading an application from "App World."After downloading an application from App World, when you run the application for the first time, it will ask you if you want to "share personal information." Whether it is checked or unchecked, the screen just freezes up after clicking "OK."
Is there a fix for this? This is a brand new device and I am already experiencing several screen lock up issues. I have already done a hard / soft reset, as well as a battery pull. I have also uninstalled the application and re-installed it, only to have this issue continue.
Just recently noticed that my phone screen will flicker and a small red light will flicker (very dim) to the right of the LED when I am on the active call screen. It is most notable when I am making an outgoing call, when the phone status is reading "calling." The screen seems to flicker and the dim light flashes to the right of the LED,
View 7 Replies View RelatedSo we've mentioned screen protectors a lot so far, and unfortunately this is another thread about them (DON"T STOP READING THERE). Since i bought the invisibleShield, and absolutely love it. I was hoping the awesome CrackBerry community might make it better. Since it's a large screen protector that you have to cut up yourself, i was hoping someone had something i can trace and cut along a line, to better fit my screen. So does anyone have anything that we can trace to easier cut out screen protectors?
View 6 Replies View RelatedAs soon as i slide the screen up to type on keypad the screen goes black, when i close it it turns back on. Not sure what to do...
View 1 Replies View RelatedAs an avid business crackberry fan (and business manager) for over 3 years, I was appalled to find that I would need to slide the keyboard out to enter my security code, especially when I would do it 50-100 times per day. As every other touchscreen phone on the market has a pattern unlock method, this is the single issue preventing from purchasing this phone(s) PLEASE ISSUE AN UPDATE/APP/PATCH anything to bring this vital security & efficiency issue up to par.
View 5 Replies View Relatedmy BB Torch 9800 screen started short circuiting, splitting in half, and everything going backwards when I slid the phone open. So I started using it with it slid closed and just texting on the screen and it worked great until the other day when the screen would no longer come on, even when it was closed. I know the phone still works because the red light was flashing because I got a message but I couldn't get the screen to come back on because I'm guessing it has short circuited enough that it gave out. So my question is, I got a cheap phone onto my contract now, but I don't have any contacts: how can I get my contacts from my BB where I can't see the screen onto this other phone? I have my SIM card in the other phone but no contacts are on it.

View 14 Replies View RelatedI have had a Blackberry Torch 9800 for 12 months and I removed it from my vehicles "Hands Free Kit" and put it in my phone holder on my belt. When I removed the phone from my holder, the screen was black and frozen and none of the button worked, not even the touch screen. The phone works correctly if I open the slide but shuts off when I close the slide again. When the slide is opened I have no on screen typing and have to use the keyboard on the slide. When I put the phone back in my hands free kit, the slide needs to be closed so I cannot answer any calls or use the touch screen.
View 4 Replies View RelatedMy newly purchased Blackberry 9800 has just gone blank. I'm so sure it's not a battery problem because I have tried other batteries. It just happened abruptly. There was no physical damage to the device. The device, fully charged has been on, and when I tried making a call later in the day, I found a blank screen. When I did a hard reset, the screen remained blank with the indicator light beaming red for a few seconds, and then flashes red light four times at rhythmic interval
View 6 Replies View RelatedThe screen on my Blackberry Torch will all of a sudden go completely black. I know the battery is not dead, because the keyboard will be lit up. I checked & it has the latest OS. I've also hard booted it several times by pulling the battery. Sometimes I can get the screen to come back on. Sometimes I also freezes up when it comes back on. This is the first time I've had problems with my Torch.

My wife's Torch 9800 started playing up yesterday, upon sliding the screen up it would stay blank (although it's actually on just very very faint) until you slid it down again slightly at which point it would work as normal. It's gone downhill since then and now just stays faint no matter what you do with the slider.
View 1 Replies View RelatedScreen has recently been blacking out. The problem occurs just as mysteriously as it starts back up again. I tried backing up phone and then doing an update without backup and then restoring. I removed battery both while plugged in and not plugged in. Not sure if this is a hardware or software issue, but it seems as if there are many posts with similar problems. I am two years into a three year plan and the cost of a new phone at this point is not great with the early upgrade fees.
