when I flip up my phone, the screen goes black. If I'm making a call and I flip it up, it disconnects. When the phone is down I can do everything, text, call, just like normal. But when I flip the phone up the screen is black and I can't do anything. Does anyone know why/how to fix this?
View 4 RepliesMy wife's storm 2 recently started acting very strange. The storm 2 is running .428. About 5 days ago, she told me that she was deleting e-mails, and it just spontaneously flipping screens, going from e-mail, to phone, to voice dailing, to camera, and also to some some other menu's (that she had never seen before), to other screens, going so fast that the phone wasn't working for her. She She didn't trust it to even use the phone to call me, or even answer it if I called her.
That day, when i got home, I went to hook it up to my pc to back the data from her phone, and I saw a white error page (of some sort, I couldn't read what it said), then it rebooted. After the reboot, I was able to backup the data, and the phone seemed to work right then.Then tonight, as I'm coming home, she told me it had started acting funny again. This time, she was typing up a text message, when the phone started double typing (i.e., she would press a letter/number and she would here 2 clicks, and 2 characters would appear on the screen, so she had to spend alot of time removing the extra characters. Then all of a sudden, it started flipping screens, going into phone mode, going back to home screen. Then the a menu would pop up, with one of the items highlighted, but she couldn't change the option it had highlighted. She had to do multiple battery pulls, to finally get it to work.
Is there a way to keep the contact icons on the home page from flipping. I would really like to to have either the photo or the name show without the animation.

I recently purchased a Blackberry Sync Pod and for some reason the phone will not charge while on the dock. The phone wil enter bedside mode and i get a message stating that the phone will not charge. I am able to charge the phone without the dock using the exact same cable. The retailer isnt willing to assist in this matter as they say it is something I need to take up with the manufacture.whats wrong or how to make the phone charge?

I didn't want to use the DM "Switch Devices" utility because I don't want everything copied over including the settings.The pictures and contacts were easy as I just switched SD cards.Ringtones and pictures I transferred over by plugging in the phones up and used Windows to simply drag the files over.My problem is the memo pad info. How do I get that to my 9800?

I tried to register but it won't allow it as I tried to enter the same email address that I use from when I registered my first phone. Can't you use the same email address as user name for both as long as each has a unique password?
View 3 Replies View RelatedMy menu button loads my 'phone' and not the menu for the phone. I cannot access the menu that includes: hide, move, open tray etc. I cleaned up the phone and uploaded the newest software via the BB desktop application software. I ended up cleaning it up so well it seemed to go back to factory settings as I lost all my apps. It seemed to solve the problem though and I got my menu button to work properly again. I have since uploaded App World and a new theme. The button still worked properly for 24 hours. Today, I turn it on and all is working well but the menu button loads my phone again. Do you understand that the menu does not load, but rather the 'phone' menu pops up as though I'd pressed the phone icon. I wonder if the 'flex ribbon cable' underneath the buttons is misaligned somehow and when I press the menu key, it is loading the green telephone key menu because of malfunction of the ribbon.

View 3 Replies View RelatedEver since I got my Torch, I've found I can't charge my phone as I'm talking to someone on it. What I have to do is hang up with whoever I'm talking to, pull the battery out, wait for it to reboot, plug it in, then call that person back. And if, when I plug it in after it reboots, it still won't charge, I have to do a battery pull all over again. And even when I do all that and manage to get it charging, it still stops charging after ten minutes of me on the phone so I end up having to cut the phone call short, which leaves the person on the other line less than impressed. I invested in a Blackberry because I assumed things like this wouldn't happen.
P.S. I've only had my Torch for six months, and I've done all the tricks (ie turning off the wi-fi) to make the battery last longer, yet over the past couple of weeks it needs to be charged everyday or it will die.
I tried a lot of times to login on my Blackberry ID (on my phone) but i cant login to it, I can on my pc.

View 6 Replies View Relatedi had need to remove my battery and sim, to reaccess the phone its asking for my username and password. i KNOW beyond any doubt that what i am entering is correct. it says that they are not valid. when clicking the "forgotten password" link, it says to ensure that blackberry id has been activated and that i have entered the correct email.
