BB Torch :: Employee Purchase Program - Return Policy?
Aug 26, 2012
What is the return policy on a Torch 9860 purchased through the Employee Purchase Program in April 2012? There are no cracks, scratches, or water damage on the phone, but I am just not happy with it. I wish to return it and purchase the Bold.
I needed to clear the IT policy from my BB Bold. I followed the instructions: - backup - wipe handheld - replace policy.bin file - restore The phone works just fine. The policy appears to be gone, and I can set the security options as I want. However, when I start my Blackberry Desktop, I get an error saying "error reading policy file. Please contact your Administrator". Any idea what the issue is and how to correct it?
I bought a BB 9800 Torch n it was locked and I managed to unlock the phone for calls, txt messages but BB messenger, Face Book, Twiter are not working the message appearing ( This application has been disabled by IT policy).
I have purchased IM+ Pro for my Torch 9800. The process I followed is the following: On the mobile device, I went to BB App world, searched for IM+pro. Selected to purchase this application. After select to purchase, I was given a choice to pay with Paypal OR let my service provider bill me for the product. I chose the latter i.e. Service provider to bill me. App world then proceded to download the app to my phone. Unfortunately there was a break in the down load process and now I can not continue where I left off. When I restart the download from scratch I get given the payment choice again. I received an invoice from app world to my email address. I can send it invoice if you want to see. Do I need to pay for the app again?

She wanted to get the Droid X tomorrow and she went into the Verizon store earlier today. We got lunch and the Verizon employee told her that the Droid X has a better screen resolution, better android apps, does HD video unlike the iPhone 4, and is cheaper. Why do they lie?
I called the Stanford Mall Apple store to check if they have any iPhone 4 32GB available. The guy that answered told me that they had limited stock but if I come to the store tonight I should be able to get one. I rushed to the store and got there 45 mins later. I walked in and the sales lady with glasses and short hair asked me how she can help me. I asked politely if they have 32GB iPhone 4 in stock and she quickly answered no. I told her that I called earlier and they told me they have some in stock and she still said no. By then I was confused and walked out the store. Just to confirm I called the Stanford Mall Apple store and asked if they have 32GB iPhone 4 in stock and the guy on the phone confirmed they do. So I walked back in to the store and approached a male sales person. I asked again if they have 32GB iPhone 4 in stock and he replied yes. So by then I knew the lady lied to me. I was able to buy the phone, but it just upsets me that people would lie like that especially to customers. I would understand if the store was busy but it was half empty.
My question for everyone how would you handle the situation if you were in my shoes? I was upset at the time, but I didn't want to cause a scene at the store. I obviously wouldn't want anyone else to experience what I just experienced.

I also noticed during the checkout process she kept walking by me, and when the guy went to the back to grab the phone she also went back there. I'm pretty sure she felt guilty getting caught by me.
How does the trade up program work?Do you trade in your device and get the quote/money and a new device. Do you use the quote to buy a new device or do you buy a new device then get the quote?I want a blackberry torch 9810 for my 9800.
I have a Torch 9800 and the volume buttons on the right side of my phone don't seem to be working with any music program (Pandora, Slacker Radio, etc.) other than the normal Music program that comes with the phone. Is there something I need to do to configure the buttons for third-party music programs? It used to work just fine with these programs but no more!
Ok so I read the webpage on how to root the Aria. I am still clueless to how to do it though. How do you get the one program on a sd card, where do I get that program? Can anyone help me out. I want to get some of this ATT bloatware off of the phone to clear up some space and also to maybe overclock it safely.
I have a Torch 9800 and recently when I try to hang up, a prompt appears that says, "Continue call and return to home screen", yes or cancel. I can not hang up my phone, I have to remove the battery to hang up, esp if the call goes to a voicemail box.
Your carrier: ATTModel info and OS version: 9800 TORCH 6.0 bundle 2342 v6.0,0,526, platform 6.6.0.195 Did a battery pull fix your issue? nosince the update i lost a few apps. i reinstalled all of them and have had no problem with the exception of blackberry maps. i download the wizard installer for it and it runs then there is no icon for the program and i can not get it to run even by going into the application root menu in my device. it sees the program but say "last time run:never"i have pleny of free space:300.1 MB free out of 512 with 212.2 usedalso under options:device:maps:, i have all settings for maps but no indication of any installed programs. could the other two map applications i have downloaded be interfering with the app? they are google maps and bing maps. i was trying to decide between the two but even both of those dont have some of the features i liked as blackberry maps did
How to change the IT policy from a Blackberry handheld in irder to download apps from Blackberry app world. It prompts him to change IT policy before downloading and rejects installation.
I have always had both a personal and a work blckberry. With my last company they had an IT policy which was wirelessly synced to my personal blackberry. i was not too bothered but now i have left that company and my persoanl BB still has this IT policy which disables my wifi. how do i get this removed?
I have the iphone coming in the mail tomorrow via fedex from att.com and idk if im gonna be home to receive it. However, other family members will be at the house. is it possible for one of them to sign for it or can i leave a note at the door for fedex man to leave it by the door? If none of these are adequate, what are my alternatives if i wont be home?
I got a BB Bold 9700 as a present from a friend of mine. Everything works fine and it's a great smartphone. Except the use of the camera. When I want to use it I get the message that the camera is disabled due to IT policies. How can I enable the camera use?
Removing the IT policy from my blackberry bold 9650 I've tried couple of methods I found on the internet and in this forum but none of them worked. can't download anything because it keeps saying that its not allowed by my IT policy
We have account lockout policy enabled on our AD. When a user's password expires and he changes it and not update his exchange account password on his iOS device his account will get locked out almost immediately -- as it should. Is there anyway around this that does not involve the user? What I basically want is when a user changes his account password and not update his password in iOS is to have iOS try to authenticate, fail and then prompt the user for the new credentials. That happens exactly with one big exception, iOS will not stop trying to authenticate which will cause the account to be locked. How many time does iOS tries to authenticate before giving up?Does iOS keeps trying even after it prompts the user for the new password?
Just left a job and they let me keep my Curve. I completed the sucurity wipe down but I can't manage to remove the IT policy - unless I do this I can't hook up my hotmail. The sites I've seen so far refer to older Curve models and I can't make those solutions work for my 9300.
I just bought an used BB 9900 Bold that came with IT policy. I thought I'd upgrade the OS to 7.1 bundle 1149 and it will return to factory settings removing the IT policy. But it did not remove the IT policy now I even can't access BBM World Apps. Any ideas how to remove this IT policy that is restricting me from BBM Apps. I tried crackutil and it does not recognize OS 7.1 so basically I am stuck with the 9900 and can's even use.
I've read the other posts but couldn't disable the IT policy. It's probably because I couldn't use the CrackUtil. It just doesn't work.Maybe it's because of this "os" thing. What is os? How do I see if I have os 4.3 or better? In the "about" screen is written:v5.0.0.442 (platform 5.1.0.121) - does it mean that I don't have the right os? As you can see - I don't understand too much, but I do want to get rid from the annoying password.
I have a 2 month old AT&T 8310. It currently has a corporate IT policy, and all of my contacts, emails etc. I want to wipe it clean so that it can be sold. Here is the procedure that a guy at the AT&T store gave me to remove the IT policy and wipe all the data. Before I try this, do you think it will work?
