IPhone :: Order From ATT / Return To Apple?
Jul 18, 2010I am wondering about my upcoming ATT Premier order for an iphone. I plan on ordering it on a new line, then going to ATT and switching sims to my primary line. Now I wonder if when I go into an Apple store in case my phone has any issues, will it matter what line its on or where I bought it from? I have never owned an iPhone so I dont know how the apple store actually works.From what I rememeber, I bought a used iPod Touch a long time ago, and it had issues and I just brought it in and got an exchange. Will it be the same with the iPhone?

Jun 9, 2010I'm seriously considering buying the new iPhone 4. I don't want to wait in long lines for hours like I did before. I am currently with Verizon, but I want the new iPhone.I want to pre-order through Apple online and pick it up at the nearest apple store. Also if I order it like that, does the online Apple store run your credit then, or do they just sell you the iPhone for 199.00 and then you take it to At&t for them to run a check and set it up? I would imagine Apple store would run credit check right then but I'm not sure.
Last year I bought the 3gs at a walk in Apple store. I remember they said I had a problem with At&t I needed to fix first, so I went to At&t, fixed problem, went back to Apple store they sold me the 3gs but could not port my number. Somehow gave me a completely new number, said I had to go back to At&t store to fix it. Went there, At&t sent me back to Apple store and these stores were not even close to each other! Finally got it resolved though. Anyway, I hope I don't have a problem like that again.

Jun 20, 2010An Apple customer service representative just informed me that today, they were informed that there is a limit of only one iPhone for online order per account, no matter what the eligibility of your various AT&T lines are. I ordered each of my iP4's separately, although they're under the same family plan. He said, "It wasn't announced and we, or at least I, was just informed about this today, but you can only order 1 iPhone online. We've actually had a lot of people calling about order cancellations." I specifically asked him why this was the case if multiple numbers on a family plan are eligible for an upgrade, but he was unable to answer. He stated that we would have to purchase our second iPhone 4 in store and that everyone who ordered more than one iPhone will have all but one of their orders cancelled.I've ordered 2 iP4's. One has been shipped, and the other has, "Not yet Shipped." The rep looked up my order for the phone that hasn't been shipped yet and said that there is a hold on it because we're only allowed to order one iPhone 4 online. So, if what this rep said is true, how can so many people claim that both of their orders have been shipped? Apr 21, 2012The story so far: I bought an accessory in Nov 2011 at an Apple Retail Store. (Philips dual-dock speaker) It started malfunctioning in Mar 2012. (Dock not charging anymore) I brought it to an Apple Store (closer to my place), they were happy to replace it on the spot, except that there was none in stock. So I was advised to go to an other Store (the original one), where they had stock. So far, so good for service. I went to the other store, but there I was told that they could not replace it because I had bought it more than 14 days before, so I had to contact the manufacturer directly! So my questions are:
- What is, if any, the actual policy on non-Apple product repair & replacement?
- Why don't all store follow the same policy?
- Should I just try my luck again with another person, until I strike gold and get it replaced?

Jun 30, 2010So, yesterday morning I got up early and decided I might as well place an online order for the iPhone through ATT.com instead of waiting around and hoping to pick it up in a store. However, my friend told me yesterday afternoon that the local ATT store had some still in stock, so I went over and managed to get one. Yet, I never canceled my online order for the iPhone, and as of this morning it still is listed as processing.
So, will that order eventually be automatically canceled before it ships since I already got an iphone at a discounted rate at the store, or will I get sent another iPhone?Also, could they send me the second iPhone and then charge me the non-discounted rate?

Sep 6, 2010Ok heres my problem. About 2 weeks ago i went to the Apple store because i got an iPhone 4 with probably the worst proximity sensor on the planet. Literally i hold it up to my face and dont move a muscle and the screen flashes on and off. Its literally caused me to add calls at 3 a.m and hang up on 50% of my calls. So i asked if i could swap it out and the guy working said i should wait for the software update and getting a new phone would still have the same problem. So the problem is now my 30 days is up, and what if the update doesnt fix it? Do you think theyll still let me return it? ATT store wouldnt let me swap out either.

Jun 22, 2010I haven't seen this particular scenario discussed, so I finally decided I would ask.I of course dealt with the fiasco that was June 15. I eventually was given the ability to make a reservation, and although I wanted it shipped, I figured that was better than nothing. A few hours later I was able to get an order successfully placed. Both of these were put on the same number and same apple ID.
The original plan was to give the 3G to my wife (although she was available for upgrade), but we have since decided that it makes more sense to get a new 4 for her and sell the 3G (which is why I have not cancelled the reserve). There are 2 tricky parts to that - the apple ID it is reserved for and the number are mine (will activating the i4 that arrives tomorrow affect this) and I am the 2nd line (authorized retail user) on the family plan under her name (different last names). Is there any chance that I would be able to pick up the iphone from Apple on the 24th, or will she have to be present as well? I could go at any time, but she would not be able to get there before about 7pm.

BB Bold 9000 :: Clear IT Policy / Error On Policy File
Aug 26, 2010I needed to clear the IT policy from my BB Bold. I followed the instructions:
- backup
- wipe handheld
- replace policy.bin file
- restore
The phone works just fine. The policy appears to be gone, and I can set the security options as I want. However, when I start my Blackberry Desktop, I get an error saying "error reading policy file. Please contact your Administrator". Any idea what the issue is and how to correct it?
