View 2 Replies View RelatedThis weekend I updated my iPhone 4 (AT&T) and iPad 2 (Verizon 3G, wifi) to 5.1. Since the update (went flawlessly), I have been unable to connect to wifi networks anywhere. All that I get is the continuously running circle that shows it is trying to connect (but never actually does). I have RESET all Network connections numerous times, did the 'Forget this' connection on everything, etc. They will no longer connect to places that I have always connected to (Home network, CLE Airport, Hilton, Work, etc...). I can connect to all networks fine with my laptop and blackberry, but I just get the constant connection circle with my iPhone and iPad 2. I have tried:
1. Reboot (Soft)
2. Reboot (Hard (Home and Power button)
3. Forget WiFi connection
4. Reset Network Connections
5. Tried 6 different Wireless (wifi) networks that I have always been able to connect to with no luck.
6. Airplane Mode with wifi on...
7. Turned 3G off...

Lost wifi connectivity on 3GS after 5.1.1 OS upgrade. Have tried every remedy, short of wiping my whole phone (have done reboot, backup and restore, reset network settings, reset all settings, etc.). Apple says my "hardware must be broken." Hard to believe, with 350,000 hits with same problem on Google search, just in these few days since upgrade was released. I do not want to wipe my phone and start over (for obvious reasons), nor do I unnecessarily want to purchase a new phone (for even more obvious reasons).

I purchased a new HTC One M9 from Telstra (Australia) in July and ever since I got the phone I have been experiencing an intermittent problem where the GPS and the cell connectivity will both shut down and not connect to the cell towers and GPS location. There is an X above the cell signal and the GPS location indicator flashes and shows no connection. This happens every few days of use and the only way to restore connectivity is to restart the phone.
I have the firmware up-to-date OTA and I have even tried a factory reset.
This problem is not isolated to any one app and has occurred when using Sygic navigation as well as Run.GPS fitness tracker.
I am suspecting this could be a hardware issue! The issue is that it is an intermittent problem and not instantly reproduceable. The problem just happens and without any warning!
I keep the location settings on lumia 610 always turned on. I have observed that if I sit at a place, stationary, then the GPS is connected instantly and I can see my location on the map. But whenever I'm traveling in a bus / car the handset cannot find its location using GPS. It shows "Looking for GPS" message for all the time.

I have a BB Bold 9700 and during the holidays, I went to my parents' place, where there was no cell coverage... But the weird thing is that my Contacts disappeared as soon as I lost connectivity.... I figured they would reappear when I had coverage again, but not!
So I did a restore from my latest backup in BB Desktop Manager (latest version) and it still didn't work... I don't know what to do anymore...
The rest is still there, calendar, saved messages, pics, etc...)
I have run the update and something has gone bad. Not only I've lost all contacts, mails, SMS and so on, but I can't find anywhere the backup that Desktop Manager claimed to have executed while updating.

All I did was connect the phone and pressed "check for updates", from which the results said that there was an update available. It never once asked me to do a system backup...just told me that this could take up to an hour and that I'd be unable to use the phone. All my contacts are gone. This is my first bb so clearly i had no clue about doing a sync to my sim card. Is there any way that I can save all that lost contact info?

First of all, my Twitter and Facebook Apps were downgraded to versions from when I was still using my BB Bold. More annoyingly, I lost some languages on my device. I had Spanish, French, Italian, German, English and Dutch. Since the update I have Russian, Greek, Dutch and English (US and UK), but I cannot add or delete any of these through desktop manager.
I tried deleting and adding in the same update sequence. I tried deleting only, then I tried adding only, and every time I get an error saying the action (or update) "could not be validated due to unsatisfied dependencies." So then I tried deleting a regular app, thinking maybe there was an "unsatisfied dependency" in an app. Same error, and nothing happened. And the same again with a different app.
My girlfriend and I both have Bberry torch (9800). I have updated her Bberry with the Desktop Manager a couple of days ago and for some reason, the update took a lot more time than usual (more than the whole afternoon). I know it was frozen, but I didn't want to loose any software info and have problems with a half-updated device. But, at the end of day, I had no other options, and I had to reboot the update again. Luckily, I had done my back up prior to this.
And as expected, after the successful update, I had lost all my personal data due to the failure of the first update attempt. Therefore, I uploaded the back up in the device, and all personal data came back (lucky me).However, the information in the password manager application is all gone.
When a call come in, displays on screen but no tones are heard. Went to "change sounds and alerts", "phone ring tone" and it just comes back to same screen.

In attempting to do so, I received a message saying "More request cannot be completed. Service book information not found." I also received this message when trying to email a photo to my blackberry.
