BB Torch 9800 :: How To Add Podcasts To BlackBerry Podcast App?
Aug 28, 2010The blackberry podcast list is limited. This may be a stupid question, but how can I add podcasts to the BlackBerry Podcast App? I can't seem to figure it out.There used to be an option to add a podcast url but that seems to have disappeared.

Aug 21, 2010Numerous problems with the way the calendar app saves old appointments. I've got a BB Torch 9800 running version 6.0 bundle 695 interfaced with a Mac. When I try to set the options for the calendar to keep appointments forever, it keeps reverting back to saving them for 60 days deleting the older appointments. It is not saving my options correctly. I've tried a battery reset, but no change. Does anyone have some insight into this?

Aug 23, 2010When I had my 8310 curve there were a crapload of options in the brower settings and one of them was to select which type of brower it viewed the webpage as, (blackberry, IE, etc.)
anyways, I'd like to know if this option still exists, because I'm trying to access a mobile website but its coming up as the full website. When I tried putting an m. in front of the website it didnt work so I'm not sure how to access it.

Apr 21, 2010Within the music player on a 5800XM, how can I control the ordering of podcasts when using the Podcasts->By Title search option with the music player...? What this currently does is orders these is the newest first order, where as if you a listening to a radio drama (like me, who listens to the Archers approx twice a week)
you want these to be in the oldest first order!

Jul 20, 2010I have just installed the Media Go s/w for my new Experia phone (as I want to use it to play podcasts to replace my aging Zune) Trouble is when I ran the set up of Media Go, it found all my music and podcasts but sees them ALL as music (and has put nothing into the Podcasts menu (LHS panel) and found a way to make them go to the right place?
Also, when I almost gave up and tried to just set them all up again by subscribing to them insode Media Go, the choice is REALLY limited, so is no use either.

Jun 26, 2012There isn't a specific forum for this in the iOS Apps category so I am putting it here.I just downloaded the new Apple Podcasts app to my iPhone 4S.[URL]I have figured out how to find and subscribe to the podcasts I normally listen to but I am not sure how to get the podcasts to download over wifi so I can listen to them later.Don't want to burn up my data plan streaming podcasts when I'm on the road.The description says that you can do this, "Stream episodes or download to listen while offline" but I am not sure if it is happening.There is no visual clue to let me know that the casts are downloading or not.Do I just need to be patient? Or am I doing something wrong.

Jan 19, 2011Clicking on Options from home screen, does not show the menu item "advanced options". It used to be there nut now is gone. It "was" the last menu item in the option but now the last one is "Third Party Apps".
In order under Options the list is as follows:
1. Sounds and Ring Tones
2. Network Connections
3. Display
4. Typing and Input
5. Device
6. Call Management
7. Security
8. Accessibility
9. Third Party Applications
Where is ADVANCED OPTIONS?

BB Torch :: Downloading Podcasts - Connection To WiFi Network Turned Off
Feb 1, 2011I'm trying to download some podcasts, and I'm getting a notice that says "Your connection to the WiFi network is turned off", and the podcasts I'm downloading say "Pending". I've checked my connections and my mobile network and WiFi are both "on".

Aug 11, 2010I have already installed the new Desktop Manager 6.0 that I downloaded from the RIM site.
I am thinking the safest way to not have a problem is the just restore my 9800 data from a back up rather than do the Switch Device thing. Anyone worried it might bring erroneous crap into the new 6.0 OS.
Maybe it would be better to redo my settings after the data install to make sure all is clean and working correctly. Some of the 5.0 setting would not be applicable to the new 6.0 software.

Aug 10, 2011I wonder whether this is a coincidence: I just activated access to my gmail box on my BB Torch, in addition to the enterprise email that's be working on the device all along. While I can send/receive from either box, I just discovered that when I hit the Menu key in either box and scroll down to Options, and try to click on it, I get nothing. I seem to remember that I used to define several email preferences using this function.

BB Torch :: Email Options Not Showing Up?
May 11, 2011When you click on emails in the BB Device, once you click on BB symbol on the Device, you will get to see the list of things available and in those listings i am unable to see options.
I have tried resending IT policy from BES server 4.1.7 where BB device is setup for exchange 2003 email. Also tried siwtching off the device, taking out the battery for a minute, reinserting and turning it ON again. Still no luck with that Options what i am looking for.
how do i get that options appearing back on BB device.

Jun 22, 2011when I am in the email (Messages) folder and open up the menu the "Options" selection is available but when selected nothing happens. Previously it had worked OK just more recently the issue has occurred for no reason I can particularly specify.Consequently I cannot change any of my email settings (Signature, views etc) which is getting inconvenient now!I am using a work enterprise (BES) activated phone and have tried usual tricks i.e. Battery removal, software updates etc.

Nov 8, 2012My Torch will not let me into options. When I click on options it just hangs unless I press the hang-up button. Each time I reboot it I get an uncaught exception error - No Application. Its running the latest approved version of the OS from Orange. It also did this with he previous OS bundle so I do not suspect its a patch issue.

Sep 24, 2012Recently switch jobs and had my Torch removed from former employers BES. Received confirmation that it was completed and emails stopped as expected. However, return address if found and password requirements stayed on the phone. Brought phone to Verizon service tech with the intentions to wipe phone. They were unable to perform function as the options feature and icon are missing. Service tech believed that it was removed or hidden as part of former employers security. Former employers IT group claims not to remove functions on BB phones and phone must be defective. Phone has served me well with no complaints. Would like to use it with new employers BES. Anyone know how to wipe or restore. Nothing on this phone is important. Running Software Version 7.1 Bundle 1737

Dec 23, 2011I just bought a brand new 9860 Torch today and all of a sudden I cannot open the options menu to change settings. Also I cannot view my network and connections to see whether my data service is turned on. I am currently not receiving data on my device. This is alarming as I spent a small fortune to acquire this device today. Again I discovered to my horror the earpiece jack does not hold in the port of my device and unable to listen to music via handsfree. The options icon on the home screen does not open at all when I touch it.Instead it freezes. Same with the network and connections options under network connections.
