I have a blackberry torch 9800 which was working fine until i went to england. The connection was fine. Then when i came back home to ireland my phone wouldn't connect to the mobile network and still won't! I can't send texts but i can ring people.
I have a Torch 9800, however it cannot connect to our 3G network here. my carrier is Digicel PNG. I have already tried setting it to 3G but it does not connect
since yesterday i`m unable to connect my 9800 with Desktop software. "uable to communicate" i try device update -> No updates found/needed i try update of device software -< one tim work, then never again. PS. taskplaner sync options are in v6.10 lightyears better!
My Storm 9500 camera fails to function even after updating software recently to ver 5.0. Keep getting the following message "! Could not start the camera. Close other applications and try opening the camera again." I have no applications open and keep getting this message meaning I can't get to use my camera ..Help!!
1. Doesnt Turn On (I Get red light for approx 1 min with charged plugged in ONLY / then changes to charging sign on screen.
2. If chargers unplugged nothing happens no lights nothing (tried all battery pull far from this now)
3. Install all the software needed to do a full re-install BBSAK + JL_Cmder + Loader "to no avail"
4. When using the above said software i get an error on the COMPUTER saying "Cannot connect to JVM" Click either retry or cancel. the phone then seems to be going into a LOOP again, the windows device notification sounds every so many seconds.
Phone also never changes from a black screen with battery sign with lighting strike through it!Prior to the above the phone was fine, what this could be as it seems that most other threads and posts about JVM Errors seem to have a specific code and this one doesn't.
When I set up my Torch 9800 to connect to Wi-Fi, the home screen reports the SSID of the access point, but when I attempt to use the browser, it reports "Unable to connect to the internet, please try again later." The "Device and Status Info" screen reports the WLAN IP Address as 0.0.0.0. My wireless access point reports that the BB device is "on", and is assigned an IP address (192.168.2.17).
At one point my initial screen reported that three updates were available. However, each time that I clicked on a line offering an update, an error message reported that "The data service is not operational", and the message about the update went away.
Snooping with Wireshark show that, when the BB is turned on, an ISAKMP tunnel is established between the BB device (at address 192.168.2.17) and segw.uma.rogers.com (at 74.198.30.49), so there is absolutely nothing wrong with the physical wireless connection. (My cellular supplier is Rogers.)
My BB was received (brand new) in early April 2012, and I updated the device from 6.0 bundle 695 to 6.0 bundle 2921 on 2012-04-12, after installing the Desktop Software on my PC. (The Desktop Software offered the update, so I just did it; I was not even aware of this community until later.)
I just bought the torch.... everything is fine, email, bbm, everything.. but, broswer...I CANNOT BROWSE!!Only if I connect via wifi the browser works.. if not, it doesnt...what should i do?
Is there anyway to update your email password WITHOUT using Att Network. Just wifi. I went to setup and email accounts. But it wants me to connect to the network. I am deployed overseas so I don't have access to the Att Network.Torch 9800 OS6?
I am now on my 3rd replacement Torch 9800 with Orange. When browsing on the mobile network the browser keeps jamming. The only way to reset the phone is to pull the battery. Typically I have to reset the phone at least 4 times a day. I have now got the App QuickPull which enables a soft reset without pulling the battery.
I am having severe problems with my bb torch 9800, it wont stay connected to the wireless network for any length of time before I have to register it again, this is happening daily now realised it was doing this when i try and send information over my wifi and it would connect to it but would not send any data, and comes up with a message stating I am not connected to the wireless network. As said before the way I could get it to work temporary is by going to, options, device, advanced system settings, host routing table, and the pressing the bb key and selecting register now. This has only started happening since updating my torch.
I recently switched to 3G services of Vodafone IN , and to my surprise found that network call drop problem immdly started .Almost 50% of incomming/outgoing call fail after connecting.I am using torch 9800/6.0.0.706

I'm having a problem with my home wireless network and my Blackberry Torch. My phone is able to locate and connect to my home wireless network, but when I attempt to browse the internet, I get the following message: "Unable to connect to the internet, please try again later. If the problem persists please contact your service provider My internet and wireless network are working fine. I connected my desktop computer to the wireless network and browsed the internet without issue, my wife's phone (iPhone4) works without problem on the wifi network, and I checked with my internet service provider- they see no problems as well.On a hunch, I drove down to a local Starbucks to find a wifi hotspot. I found one, connected to it, and browsed the internet without any error messages. So now it appears that when I connect to a free wifi hotspot everything's fine but with my home network I get the error message above. The only thing I changed was the network.
I've been without BIS for over 3 hours now since i've left my house this morning. It happens everyday and is getting worse Sometimes I lose it for 5 minutes, but 3 hours is ridiculous! I'm still connected to 3G. I can talk on the phone and I can use the browser for internet. But i can't get my work emails and my apps don't work. I tried resending my service books nothing I turned on and off all my services on the phone nothing. I run the connection diagnostics and it says Blackberry Registration: No. I updated to the latest leak .161 and that didn't help.I found a thread on Crack Berry where numerous others are encountering the same issue, so I don't think exchanging the device is going to help. Someone from Blackberry please fix this! This is a serious issue!
I just purchased a new Torch and it will not pick up my wifi connection at home. I upgraded from a Bold to Torch and have not any any issues with the Bold nor my kids Iphones once they input the password. Is there some other setting on the Torch I'm not aware of?
Can somebody please help me out. I just bought a new Torch 9800. However I found difficulties to browse internet. I contact the local operator. They said, i need to ensure that the setting of browser is 'internet browser'. In the common blackberry (i was using Bold 9000), the setting can be found in this path:Option--Advance Option--Browser--Default Browser Configuration==Internet Browser..However, when i check the same path in my Torch 9800, I cannot find such 'advance option' under the setting menu (in homescreen).
Does anybody can suggest me where it is or what should I do?
I just got a BB Torch 9800 for free (YAY!!!).My cousin came with it from UK. My current plan is a prepaid. It is the $50 Everything. So I just upgraded my plan to the BB plan but it doesn't work at all. It says:" Browsing the web is not included in your current plan and bla bla..."
There was a problem reading data from the server and app world must exit. Error type 100003Or rather: Appworld says I must upgrade which I then try to do. But the upgrade gives the above error.Device Torch 9800
I have a fairly used BB Tour, branded for verizonewireless, which I have been using on MTN network in Nigeria for the past five months. In the last eight days my connection to the BB network stopped and I have not been able to connect to the internet or the BBM. I find it difficult to even top up my phone except through vtu, and my contract with the MTN is active until December 8th. I heard that it is a global problem.
I recently brought a new Sony Xperia Neo L. It is working fine with 3G network but when I am trying to connect to 2G network, it always display unable to connect selected network. I have tried to repair my cell phone using PCC and also done factory reset many times but every times it is only able to connect to the 3G network.
Apps installed and their version if possible: I have no Applications anymore because i completely wiped my handheld of any and phone would load for minitues and minutes before letting me do anything before this issue started? My phone will not allow me to connect to the mobile network..,steps ive taken:
-removed battery -removed sim card and re-inserted sim card -ran a diagnostics test -called verizon -went to a verizon wireless store
"Just got my Blackberry Torch 9810 and I can't connect to AT&T's Network! I get an error saying that there is insufficent network coverage and yet when my girlfriend tries on her Pantech Impact, sitting right next to me, she has no problem. I'm able to make and receive calls and I have 3 bars showing in the signal strength indicator.
I just asked this question over on the AT&T Blackberry Forum but I haven't got a response yet so I thought I would ask it here too.
Since then, I called AT&T for help and they told me that it is probably because when I received my phone I should've left the new SIM card in it and activated it, rather than just popping in my old SIM card, is this true? In the past, I think I've just inserted my old SIM Card and everything worked as it should without performing a new activation.
My blackberry torch will suddenly stop being able to connect to any internet service. It has service and the BIS logo. I get the unable to connect to the internet message. Anyone have any solutions? I tried cycling airplane mode, battery pull, and pulling and replacing the sim. This is frustrating to say the least.
I just got torch today, activated and it don't connect to home wifi.It shows my ssid and says connected but when I try to browse says not connected.I can connect to data plan and surf, but I wanna connect to my home wifi.Tech support said try another wifi connection. So I went to AT&T store and sales guy connected to their internet wifi.I also went to mcd s and connect to wifi hot spots. But won't connect at home.I tried everything, And I had two boles 9000 before I tested last few days and same thing? Is it something to do with wifi router?I had security on and I changed settings in router and made my wifi home conn OPEN BUT STILL won't connect!
I connected my old 8310 to se if data was present and to charge the device. Now my computer does not recognize my 9800 Torch when connect. Thus I can now sync my device with contact and calendar files.
I have been through all the relevant BB Database information on how to deal with the inability of my phone to connect to the Desktop Software. I have reviewed previous related posts and re-installed the latest Desktop Software. All to no avail.
I am new to this blackberry smartphone and have brought a new BB curve 9300 with BSNL connection. I am unable to connect to my wireless network my phone displays my network but does not connect at all says " Failed to associate with the network". I have tried all possible way
I had 3G connection until today afternoon. To check if the Cyan update is available, I changed the region to US and back to India. After this the phone is not connecting to cellular data network, even though I can make voice calls. It connects to Wi-Fi without issues. So far I have tried the following -
1. Soft reset (power and volume down) 2. Change region back and forth 3. Hard reset (twice)
Internet APN is set to internet, but still no connection and the status bar is not showing E/3G or H+.
