I just got the bold last night, bis seems to not be working on the phone, i never got the welcome email and my bbm isn't working. In options it doesn't say its connected. Is there any way to fix this, or is it DOA?
View 14 RepliesClicking on Options from home screen, does not show the menu item "advanced options". It used to be there nut now is gone. It "was" the last menu item in the option but now the last one is "Third Party Apps".
In order under Options the list is as follows:

My iPhone 4s won't connect to my car head unit it comes up connected and then half way thought it comes up as not connected and when I try to connect again it come up as device is out of range even when the phone is right next to it?

If I turn off gprs for data, nothing happens at all 'cannot connect to server' Wi-Fi working fine for all pcs and laptops in the house.
my iphone is charging when it is connected with adapator but it is not working when it is connected with computer.

I currently have a curve 9300, and my service provider is Telus Mobility. I am connected to wifi and up till about 3 days ago everything was working fine, now it shows I am connected, but I can only get on internet for about 5 mins, I have to shut off all my connections then reconnect them for it to work again.

View 8 Replies View RelatedMy iPhone is on the Bell network, along with 3 other iPhones in my household. We have WiFi and the phone indicate that they are connected to the WiFi when we are in the house. However, my bill from Bell indicates several instances where the phones (all 4 at different times) are connected to the 3G network for 24+ hours at a time. Additionally, it shows the phone connected twice during that time period (as though there were 2 different sessions at exactly the same time, but with differing amount of data connected)
The explaination that Bell gives me is that there are 'minimized' applications still working on 3G even though the phone says it is on WiFi, and that each of these opens its own 'connection'My understanding of cell technology is that the phone can only access one method of Internet connectivity at a time, and that it can be explained as a 'pipe' or 'straw' carrying connectivity and all of the data. I have never heard of a phone that can access two different types at the same time, nor one that uses separate 'sessions' at the same time of either type of connectivity.
I would assume that I turn on my phone in the morning and I am in my house, it indicates WiFi, so I can browse the web, collect my email and update my Facebook on that 'session' that lasts 4 hours until I leave the house. Now my 3G kicks in and the email that I still have open now collects through the opened 3G session, as well as the page I left open downloading something.When I get to work and enter my WiFi area there, the session would then collect my email through WiFi again, and my download as well.

My Torch will not let me into option. When I click on options it just hangs unless I press the hang-up button. Each time I reboot it I get an uncaught exception error - No Application. Its running the latest approved version of the OS from Orange. It also did this with he previous OS bundle so I do not suspect its a patch issue.

I've updated to Android 5.0 and suddenly I can no longer transfer files between the Phone and both my computers (Win7 PC + MacBook Pro). The options for USB file transfers are just outright missing. Its not listed under storage and tapping on the "charging" notification does nothing.

I have just recently had the new blackberry bold 9990 and this morning the options just disappeared off the menu. On the smaller menu its there but when I press it it does nothing. I have searched all folders and can not find it anywhere. I have also rebooted it several times and it is not anywhere. I know options cannot be deleted but I don't know what else to try to find it!

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have searched the forum in regards to the pop up saying my SIM Card is full delete messages etc., and I do know that I have gone back to Options (after reading it here) and said NO to saving messages on it. I have also removed my battery while phone was on, but am still receiving message. Now when I go to Options, nowhere in there (and all files are as "show all") is there anything in regards to SMS text messages. I do have a folder named SMS but it is empty?All went squirrely after I did an update on OS 6, not an upgrade, just an update that was offered. Icons have moved around that I'm not able to move, even when following directions again, from this site.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI wonder whether this is a coincidence: I just activated access to my gmail box on my BB Torch, in addition to the enterprise email that's be working on the device all along. While I can send/receive from either box, I just discovered that when I hit the Menu key in either box and scroll down to Options, and try to click on it, I get nothing. I seem to remember that I used to define several email preferences using this function.

(NOT a new mail account)Instructions say go to mailboxes list. Then tap Edit, then New Mailbox. There is no Edit option to tap. If I go to All Inboxes, I have an Edit option but only to delete, move or mark. Nowhere can I find New Mailbox option.

This means I can't choose the internet provider so the phone can't go to the internet and find data for my trips. When I go to Opitons and choose Internet, the program closes and brings me back to the main menu. I can't delete the program. I have re-installed it several times and the issue still remains. I have tried resending IT policy from BES server 4.1.7 where BB device is setup for exchange 2003 email. Also tried siwtching off the device, taking out the battery for a minute, reinserting and turning it ON again. Still no luck with that Options what i am looking for.
