I am using iPhone 4S. I try to follow the instructions in the Iphone manual obtained from Apple bookstore. Trying to add a mailbox. (NOT a new mail account)Instructions say go to mailboxes list. Then tap Edit, then New Mailbox. There is no Edit option to tap. If I go to All Inboxes, I have an Edit option but only to delete, move or mark. Nowhere can I find New Mailbox option.
Clicking on Options from home screen, does not show the menu item "advanced options". It used to be there nut now is gone. It "was" the last menu item in the option but now the last one is "Third Party Apps".
In order under Options the list is as follows:
1. Sounds and Ring Tones 2. Network Connections 3. Display 4. Typing and Input 5. Device 6. Call Management 7. Security 8. Accessibility 9. Third Party Applications
I am pretty frustrated now. My mailbox is acting up weird: It keeps on receiving mails w/o contents, sender, and it would show some weird sent date (ie: 12/31/00). And it will not let me delete it. But when I go to "All Mail" then come back to Inbox, those unknown mails would disappear. Does this happen to you guys?
When I delete an email on my computer it still shows up in my iPhone and vice versa. How do I change my iPhone settings tso I don't have to manage one inbox twice?
I just received my IPhone yesterday - synced it to my MacPro. 1. My voicemail says I mailbox is almost full, but I only had one new message, and one saved message - relatively short ones.
Also - I keep getting old read emails on my IPhone from my email on my MacPro. As soon as I delete 50, 50 MORE show up!!
After I updated my software to iOS 5.1 I had to do a full restore. Since then old comcast emails keep downloading to my mailbox 50 at a time. I have two other email accounts on my phone and neither one of them have updated old deleted emails. I am tired of having to delete these old emails. Help!!
Our email account was hijacked a week or so ago and a load of duff emails sent out. Eventually issue resolved with yahoo after multiple password changes. However, since then we have had problems with emails on iphone and ipad. Sending seems the most problematic. We are using the new passwords but keep receiving error message saying that the username and password are incorrect-they aren't. We can access yahoo via PC and the account is fine-sends and receives as normal. Just makes me realise how much I use the mobile devices?
While trying to retrieve email from Hotmail account, phone keeps "Checking for Mail" but does not respond. When I reboot,I get Hotmail.I'm on a network.Gmail Account, no problem and Office email through enterprise, no problem.Only Hotmail problem.
I am trying to set up an exchange mailbox on iphone 5 running iOS7. After entering the proper parameters, I receive error "Cannot Get Mail - The connection to the server failed."
I know the server parameters are correct because I have entered the exact same parameters for another users mailbox and mail loads perfectly fine on the iPhone. I dont believe the issue lies with the parameters but maybe the individual mailboxes? Are there settings on our exchange server i should be comparing between the mailboxes to determine why one mailbox loads fine while the other does not?
Could it be an issue with iOS 7 ? Is there a guide or something that will show how the users mailbox settings should be set on exchange 2010?
I verified the device shows up when i log into the users OWA account > Mobile Phones, but still unable to load mail. There are no other devices in the mobile phones section so there shouldnt be a limit issue. Â
I've been having issues with email in my Hotmail account taking a long time to make it to the mailbox my iPhone and MBP. Sending works fine. But, emails don't appear until much later. It used to be instantaneous.
I've confirmed all the setting for my email account with my IS provider. I can receive email on my iPhone 3GS no problem, but it won't connect to the server to send anything...
Although there are more topics about this subject, I've got a specific question about this problem. Recently, I bought an iPhone 4S via the online Apple Store. A couple of days ago, I noticed that there is dust under the screen of the iPhone. The dust is in the middle of the screen and not that large (circa 2mm), but notable and annoying. I contacted Apple and they came with the following options: Send iPhone to repair (lasts 9-17 days);Exchange the iPhone for a new one, costs 29 euros.
If it appears that the dust comes from outside and not from the factory, I'd have to pay 250 euros in both cases. In view of the fact that I cope well with the iPhone - I always use an iPhone case to protect it and I've never had it in my pocket without the case - it seems to be illogical that the dust is my 'fault'. The inside of the case is made of leather, which doesn't correspond to the dust under the screen. However, I'm not completely sure that the dust comes from the factory, since I noticed it just a couple of days ago.
My question: is it wise to exchange or repair the iPhone, since it creates a large risk? I don't want to pay 250 or 280 euros more, this is 'required' if I decide to exchange or repair it and if Apple can prove that the dust doesn't come from the factory.
I want to change my ringtone to a custom one. When I go th the ringtone screen all it shows is the default ringtones. There is no customize options at the top of the screen. How do I fix this?
I have several email accounts on my iphone but there doesnt seem to be any order to how they show in Mail. I have tried deleting and re-adding in the order I want them in and that doesnt work, they arent in alphebtical order either!
I was wondering if anyone knows what order they are actually in? If I can figure that out, I can then start to figure out how to order them.
I know this may have been asked several times already but I would like to solicit your patience again in answering my question. I hope somebody could clearly explain to me what should I do.I have a factory unlocked 3.1.2 3GS (HongKong purchased unit) with the new bootrom that I wish to jailbreak. What are my current options? What should I do? I saved my SHSH files to Saurik's server last week using Umbrella. I would greatly appreciate anyone's enlightenment.
I want some of my apps to use the location services & to be able to turn it off, but it's all greyed out. Same with my Cloud. I read thru the entire manual, with no luck. My iPhone 4S is from Verizon.
I got a new iPhone 5c a few days ago. I remembered seeing the Siri options when I was first setting up my phone. I didn't choose anything at the time. Now I can't find them at all under the "General" menu.Â
for some reason I am not able to set up a mailbox on my nokia 5800 smartphone , I go to messaging -options- to settings to e-mail to mailboxes. Then I've entered in the address and then password then a message is given informing me that a bookmark is added to web browser to enable e-mail use ...then I am returned to the menu.I then re-enter as above to see if a mailbox has been created.but no box is ever created.
