I have just recently had the new blackberry bold 9990 and this morning the options just disappeared off the menu. On the smaller menu its there but when I press it it does nothing. I have searched all folders and can not find it anywhere. I have also rebooted it several times and it is not anywhere. I know options cannot be deleted but I don't know what else to try to find it!
View 2 RepliesTwo weeks ago, I was travelling to another country and inserted a different SIM and installed it's settings, but when I came back and installed the orignal SIM, I lost some of the selection options Network Destination for Exchange and OVI Maps only...Previously I could see different options under Network Destinations such as 'Data Package' and access points which I had connected to previously. Now I only see 'Internet' and this has only affected the two applications mentioned above. I also have Hotmail & Gmail which give me the other options so I find it strange why has this happened to Exchange and OVI Maps only (even after updating the maps application).
This is preventing me from using my service provider's Data Package connection for these apps. I've contacted the provider and installed the default configuration settings recieved via SMS but that didn't help
I know that your PIN is used to identify you and or your device correct. is it used for private messages as well? if this is the case, is there a way to change your PIN?

After installing I have some problems like - While on call the options (Spkr, Mute, Hold, Add Participant) on the screen are being disappeared and some times the screen get struck-up for long time without any response.
And to resolve the above problems temporarily I am hard rebooting mobile. Just now I removed OS and reinstalled OS 6 to fix this problem, hope it will fix those bugs.
I have two Bold 9780 phones. Phone #1 has v6.0.0.285 and Phone #2 has v6.0.0.534. On Phone #1 I can go to options -> Device -> Search and change what universal search does. On phone #2 I do not have the search option under devices. Did they move it? I want to be able to limit my searching.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI use QL and often toggle GPS. In order to toggle GPS you have to set the perimeters which is:
2,7,2 = Options > Advanced Options (2), GPS (7), GPS Services OFF/ON (2)
But heres the problem as you can see. Sometimes Enterprise Activation disappears, which then would make the perimeters 2,6,2. Which obviously won't work b/c its not set up that way.Anyone have any ideas why this happens? Or what I can do to make it completely gone forever so I can change my perimeters 2,6,2?
I recently "upgraded" to Blackberry 6 OS on my 9650 Bold. I don't like the way my sent messages show up in my inbox and would like to change this. I figure I would have to do this in Options, but when I click on Option while I'm in the Inbox, nothing happens - just goes back to the inbox. I've tried resetting my device, pulling the battery, etc. to no avail.

Now when I go back to email setup that is the only option that I have available for setting up email on my BB Bold 9700. Is there a fix that will allow me to get my hotmail and yahoo email accounts set up on my BB without having to take it to a service provider? I just updated my software on my phone today and that did not fix my problem.

What should I do to or what I have to do to restore them or to get these back? I also wonder where I can see what I had at the beginning in all tabs and menus and in each part?
View 9 Replies View RelatedI'm using a Black Berry Bold 9700 and I just recently updgraded to the new BlackBerry 6 OS. I took a while for me ro adjust to the changes. What I'm having problems with is when I try to update an application via the BlackBerry Application World it always prompts me that my device has less than 5MB of memory left. With the BlackBerry 5 OS, I used to get a message on where I want to save the file (same goes when downloading) but this does not give that option. I have more than enough space in my memory card. Another issue is I have themes saved in the memory card but for some reason I can't activate them. I can see the themes in the BB application world and can even see them when I hook the phone to my pc but I'm unable to look them up when I go to the change my themes via the display option.

So I did a battery pull and when its on, I wanted to delete and change theme but when I click Options or Setup it freezes and I cant do anything but do another battery pull and no difference. I did it several times already. I tried connecting my phone to my macbook and my desktop manager wont connect to my phone. I figured I'll just do a back up so I can restore my phone back to its factory setting but like i said, my laptop wont connect to my phone. I basically tried everything already.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm having trouble with my internet. i can use my WAP browser but i do not see my regular internet browser, not even in the options menu. also my bbm does not work. i cannot send or receive bbms. i can send out emails but not receive them. my apps that connect to the internet will not work, ie berryweather, facebook, appworld. i get a message about contacting my provider and upgrading to a service plan that allows me to browse. all this just happened all of a sudden on this phone. i've tried reloading the OS back to the original .167, and numerous battery pulls. nothing seems to work. is there an outage or something? even my wifi wont connect to my internet at home. it says connected but its greyed out.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI never get GPS lock anymore on any of my GPS apps,, google, BBmaps, and like 5 other location apps.I go to my Options, Advanced Options, GPS and the page cannot open..I also noticed another problem where my Picture viewer doesn't open up pictures anymore from the thumbnail preview list. i.e when I click on a thumbnail it doesnt open full screen. It just sits there.

Until recently, on my Bold 9780...prior to sending a photo as text attachment I was prompted to select the file size to send. But this pop up was annoying so I elected for all photos to be sent in their original large size. Now, I want to be able to select the size or change the default. I still want the camera to shoot large files and I do not want a 3rd party application as this is too many steps.
How can I go back to selecting photo file size for each attachment or change to default before sending?
My e-mails are not sychronising on my Bold 9700 & the 'reconcile e-mail' is greyed out. Blackberry Answers says that this is due to the advanced security feature in Outlook. But gives no detail on how to rectify it and I cannot find anything by searching the help in Outlook.

I have a blackberry 9700 bold, obviously since I am posting here. A friend of mine text me, and I saved her to my contacts. Well the phone saved her number to work instead of mobile where it should be. So I copied it, deleted, and pasted in the mobile slot. Now I can't figure out how to clear out the copy. Every time I go to send a text, at the top of the options is paste. Does anyone know how to clear out the copy so that paste does not show up all the time?
