Jun 25, 2010I have been Upgraded my BB 9700 device with OS 6 recently.
After installing I have some problems like - While on call the options (Spkr, Mute, Hold, Add Participant) on the screen are being disappeared and some times the screen get struck-up for long time without any response.
And to resolve the above problems temporarily I am hard rebooting mobile. Just now I removed OS and reinstalled OS 6 to fix this problem, hope it will fix those bugs.
BB Curve 83xx :: Lost Options Icon On Main Screen
Jan 17, 2010I organized my screen for hours on my BB8330, created some sub folders and put all icons in order. And, I lost my "Options" and "Compose" icons, which is like the most important ones! I read all suggestions here. It is not hidden, it is not in another folder, it just gone. Now when I change the Theme, I do see it, but all my work is gone, and I like my current Theme of Sprint. Any idea how to restore my lost icons on my current Theme? Look like a BB common problem.

Mar 2, 2012I cannot log into the Email Account Management of my new Bold 9900. After entering my BB user ID and BB ID password the deivces has a good old think and then tells me: Unable to log in to your BlackBerry ID account. and thats that.
To be clear: Its not the wrong id or pw - I have tried 20 times and the counter that lets you have 10 wrong tries before resetting is not going up. Also I can log in via website using the ID and pw without issue. I have tried taking out the battery (both with device on AND off) and replacing it after 5 minutes.

Jan 7, 2010I have the Bold 9700 coming from many years of using Palm OS devices.I am running OS 5.0.0.344 I am an Anesthesiologist and use my device for communication but also to keep track of my scheduling and billable activiities. have very few extra app's loaded but consistently run free memory in the 5- 10 MB range. I do notice things slowing down as the free memory drops but no lockups as a rule. My only third party apps are Pocket Informant for scheduling, Epocrates for Pharmaceutical info and HanDBase for BB to keep track of my Billings and professional activities (This works but MUCH slower & is relatively crippled compared to HanDBase on my old Treo 680 but that is another story)I deleted all the games and any unnecessary apps but still have pretty marginal memory. I have also loaded Memory Booster which does not affect these values but may improve performance.I would love to delete all those PNG images loaded with the device but have not been able to find any reliable info on how to do this under OS5.Do I have some sort of memory leaks? Are there any other ways that I could find out which apps are eating up the memory?Any other suggestions that would improve this situation?It baffles me to read of people complaining about not enough apps for the BB when I can barely run what I currently have loaded. (Interestingly, I was able to run all these apps on my old Palm Treo with it's massive 32MB RAM - I know it didn't have to run all that Java wizardry & it was not nearly as good a phone but it is ironic that BB's latest & greatest should be so marginal in its performance)Any suggestions or advice gratefully received.

I have looked through your forums and have read the Settings/Personalisation/Manage Notifications fix. I am in the UK however and my settings don't appear to have these options at all. I am a carer for my 2 year old daughter and depend on my phone for doctor/hospital appointments, physio, emergencies etc. I have a few months left on the contract and if I am very tempted to settle contract early as the phone is no use to me while it is doing this.

When I'm in a call, sometimes I hear the sound of pressing a button, and when I take the phone away from my ear to check what happened, I keep finding the Notification Panel open with different options activated / deactivated. Sometimes I find it directly in Settings, in Battery Usage, in Date/Time, I think it depends on which option is pressed in the Notification Panel.

He said that on the call screen he has options for camera and one-way camera. I was still clueless so I asked him to send me a screen shot of what he was referring to. I personally do not have this feature. We both have V10's and we're both on Verizon. Is it a feature I need to activate?
