But heres the problem as you can see. Sometimes Enterprise Activation disappears, which then would make the perimeters 2,6,2. Which obviously won't work b/c its not set up that way.Anyone have any ideas why this happens? Or what I can do to make it completely gone forever so I can change my perimeters 2,6,2?
How to get the option to activate the Enterprise Service on my BB9700 ? My company has the Enterprise Server App installed and working for most of there employees. My issue is that on my particular BB, if I go into Options/Advanced Options there is no menu item for activating the Enterprise app. Do you know if there is a download or something I need from my service providers (AT&T) to allow me to see/have this option on my phone?
Just out of the box but I cannot seem to find the ICON or this option (Enterprise Activation) under advanced options. A coworker did do a few things and I think activated the Blackberry email but I need access to corporate email and have the password for the blackberry server.
I acquired an unlocked T-Mobile blackberry 9700 late last year and had our IT admin guy in NY adding new user license to the blackberry server and then the besadmin had generated activation password for me. I'm using local mobile phone network in Vietnam (Vinaphone) and had installed its service book into my BB. Nevertheless, after having put in my email address and keyed in the activation password, after pressing activate for about 2 minutes of "Acquiring service connection..." my BB keeps on telling me that "Activation request failed. A service connection is unavailable" although the communication receptions signals from my local mobile carrier is strong and I can browse internet and accessing gmail or yahoo mail using my BB (which mean internet connection is available).
We're running BB Pro Software, version 4.1.4.17 in an exchange environment. We've been using 8900 handsets in the UK, over Vodafone for some time, and tyey work great... ...but now we have a new user who's bought a 9700, again over Vodafone, but this time in Germany. When he attempts to use enterprise activation he (eventually) receives "enterprise server has not responded to your activation request"
We've checked that his data plan is compatible with BES. So - how do we get this working? Do I need to upgrade to BES Express 5.0?
I have changed from a Bold 9700 to a 9780, I cannot find the enterprise activation on the 9780, it was under advanced options on the 9700. I always end up on the set up e-mail account but although entering the password provided by my provider I have no success?
I bought my bold 9780 used and when i went to set up, email, i instantly got the enterprise activation screen, i just want to set up internet email but cannot exit this screen.
I went to set up my email for the first time I selected the enterprise server option by mistake. Now when I go back to email setup that is the only option that I have available for setting up email on my BB Bold 9700. Is there a fix that will allow me to get my hotmail and yahoo email accounts set up on my BB without having to take it to a service provider? I just updated my software on my phone today and that did not fix my problem.
I updated to 7.1 and everything was working. At some point the sound files and enterprise activation have gone missing. The sound files are complete gone and enterprise activation does not appear under Advanced System Settings.
I bought a second hand Blackberry Bold 9000 on ebay and I would like to setup my email account, but it ask for an Enterprise Activation password which I don't know where to find? It also says: "Contact your system administrator to find out wether an Enterprise Activation password will be provided, or if you need to install the BlackBerry Desktop Software. Who would be my system administrator and what steps should I take next to ensure the email is setup?
Saw another thread about this but it was useless (thread=234574 but I can't post a url to it)Anyway, I got a BB 9700 recently. It's unlocked (orig from AT&T) but seems to be an enterprise version. Is there any way I can mod it so that I can use it with my IMAP email? I'm not much of a BB guy normally so I don't really know what tools are out there, etc. (I did find MFI Multiloader but I see that thing doesn't work for 9700).
I've got the Blackberry Internet Service and the right information by my company for the activation. Now I want to activate the enterprise service but it failed. I've seen a video how to do this: [URL].
Setup-> Emails accounts: Video showing two options: normal Mail account and company mail account.
In my system there's not such a thing. I can choose between google & co. or type an own one. Doing this I fail! I think that the right option is missing. How can I activate the enterprise service?
Is there a way to make the Curve 3G 9330 work with a BES server? I've tried following the online instructions, but at the Enterprise Activation stage the option is missing and I can't activate the phone. I have older models that work just fine.
I have recently bought a Blackberry Curve 8520. The phone came set up for Vodacom (I live in South Africa) but I changed to Virgin. Now I am having problems getting the Enterprise Activation Password. I have read previous advice and 'pulled' the battery - nothing. Please whoever replies.....you are dealing with an **bleep** and instructions must be very easy to follow
My BB AppWorld keeps disappearing. When I go to the application list it is still installed, but the icon disappears and there is no way to launch app world. If I re install it comes back. It was there this morning, but this afternoon it was gone. There were no reboots at all. This is kind of getting annoying. I don't know what to do.
We have 2 x Curve 8520 which no longer work. One is with O2 the other with Orange.
We are using BES and activated the blackberrys as normal, we got to the following point in the activation
Activating user.name@company.co.uk Verifying Encryption Encryption verified Waiting for services...
All of a sudden the screen locked with a message saying that memory cleaning was in progress and would take a few minutes. (apologies dont have the exact wording for this)
The device rebooted the white screen came up with the loading clock icon and thats as far as it goes. it reboots after a few mins then does the same and is now stuck in this endless loop.
We've tried the battery pull, tried re-installing OS via Desktop Manager. but still the same.
I just bought a Blackberry Torch but have been unable to set up my corporate email using Enterprise Activation. I have the password from my IT group and have also reset the device. I keep getting an error that the Blackberry is unable to connect the server.
got myself into a bit of a tight spot here. i bought the bold 9700 in malaysia but want to use it in china. but apart from subscribing to china mobile's blackberry service, can i use the bold 9700 without their email enterprise service?
i have checked all the menus and options a gadzillion times, but there seems to be no way around setting up an email without going through the enterprise service.so, i just want to confirm that before i decide to either dump the phone or subscribe with china mobile's blackberry service
