I've had my 9700 for a few weeks & have some photos, video & music stored on it - on the device itself not on a media card. Yesterday I noticed my ringtone had changed by itself so I checked in media, ring tones to see what had happened to my original ring tone - it had disappeared & so had all my pictures, videos & music!
View 5 RepliesI just bought a 5530 XpressMusic and from last night after my music player is frozen for a while I am missing the media bar on the Home Page when a song is being played background. Can anybody help how to bring that back? I did reset factory setting but it did not come back.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI charged my phone with the usb cable 2 days ago and when I unplugged it all my music, videos and pictures are not visible. I removed my battery and sd card a few times but still no luck. However, if I plug it back into the computer and go the normal route - my computer, blackberry, then all my files on the sd card are visible. I cannot view it on my phone anymore..
View 2 Replies View RelatedSo, a couple days ago, I noticed my pics had disappeared. The phone said "A Media Card has been insert that contains errors" and I tried to repair them, but as others have found, "Media Card Repair Failed". When I plugged both the phone, and then the media card via a card reader, into my laptop, the "camera" folder was simply a Unix file, not a folder anymore, and obviously no contents. So is the problem the card, or is the instructions for the camera missing? I've tried taking the battery out a few times to reboot - no effect. I've tried "repair" repeatedly and that doesn't work. I've not managed to re-format the card so do let me know how exactly to do that via the phone, if you think that's the best option.

Anyway, I have a 2gb card installed but under the settings and memory section it says no card found. is there a way of getting it to reconise the card as my phone says its only got 90MB of internal memorey left which wont do me as I use it as a mp3 player as well.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI recently installed OS 5.0.0.442 which was posted on the very first thread of the forum. I haven't had any issues with it until recently.
When I try a soft reset, I get the red indicator light as usual, but instead of resetting, I get a message on my screen that says something along the lines of "Media card installed. All media will be copied onto the device." After this dialog box goes away, the device does NOT reset. Any ideas on why the soft reset no longer works?
My music player has disappeared from my Media Player folder. I did nothing to delete it. It was working fine I closed it and when I went back to media player it was gone. find it or download a new one. I have a Torch with the latest software upgrades.

On the smaller menu its there but when I press it it does nothing. I have searched all folders and can not find it anywhere. I have also rebooted it several times and it is not anywhere. I got a problem with my bb9700 on SMS. When I powered on my bb, it showed like"uncaught exception：string index out of range:0". And the sms & mms icon disappeared. In message-box, I couldn't see any sms here,but only emails and mms. It will show a list about short messages when i press(alt+s), but any message can't be open, just a list. I have tried v6.0.0.593/680/743, but it doesn't be fixed. I can only wipe the phone , but several days later,It will repeat. no BIS/BES with my phone.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a 9780 and my texting app is completely gone. This is the third time it's happened, I'll turn my phone off and when I turn it back on my texting is gone. I've done a universal search on my phone for my texting and there were no results. I can still get texts through my messages folder, but my phone doesn't vibrate and it doesn't flash red. It usually lasts for about a month and then I'll randomly turn my phone off and when I turn it back on my texting will be back.
This is absolutely outrageous and incovenient, seeing as I use texting more than BBM or any other means of communication.I've talked to my service provider, they've told me that the only way I'd get it back is a security wipe, which is also inconvenient and poses the risk of just losing my texting again in another month- in addition to losing all of my bbm contacts (I realize I can back them up but they would have to readd me in their phones), and content.
I have a (relatively) new BB Bold 9790. I connected today via the Desktop manager and it asked me if I wanted to upgrade my software bundle (I am on OS 7). I clicked on "yes" and it went off and did the deed. I have to confess I did not do a manual backup as my previous experience has been that the DM does the backup for you and it's worked well.
So after the upgrade everything was back as it was (my icons in the same place, emails, pics etc) apart from all my SMS! They have all disappeared. I am receiving new ones fine but the old ones have all gone. I had quite a lot of useful information in the old SMS (yes I know I should have backed these up) ... is there any way these can be recovered? I cannot belive the DM did not back these up and restore them but if I go ito the DM and look for a backup there is no recent back ups so I can't find anything to restore from.
Used my bold a few months and was very happy. But today, suddenly it can't read my Memory Card anymore. All the data is still there when I check using my computer with a card reader.I did multi times Battery Pull and changed different card..
