I downloaded bbmaps and the download worked but when I wanted to open it it disappeared it isn't in my downloads folder and not even apps. I DiD download it but where is it? Can I do anything to make it appear?
View 5 RepliesWhen I downloaded Facebook Version 3.0 my icon disappeared. I made sure to have my icons on Show All. I tried deleting and reinstalling FB but still the icon is missing. I checked my applications list and it is showing as installed...I even downloaded the newest update for FB and still the icon is missing.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have owned a Curve 8310, a Bold 9000, and now a Bold 9700. I have never been able to get Maps to work! I am always showing diagonal lines. I am on O2, I am connected to a BES server, other users on my BES can access Maps but I cannot. I know the GPS works as it locates me but the data downloaded always shows 0.0kb and all I have is them annoying diagonal lines.

So I have owned a Black Bold 9700 for a while now and about 2 months ago I switched to a White 9700. I would always get at least one day out of my battery in my black 9700. And I was with my white 9700 as well until about 2 weeks ago.I rarely talk on my phone but I am a heavy user with BBM, text and email and a bit with Facebook which I know uses a lot of battery... I have about 90 contacts on BBM and use it constantly everyday -- chatting with 4 to 5 ppl at a time constantly. However, I'm lucky if my battery lasts from 11am until 5pm anymore. I have tried about 3 different batteries and they all have the same issue. I just upgraded my software from .743 to .862 last night.
And I switched over to a brand new OEM battery 2 days ago. I charged my phone overnight and powered it on at 11am and now at 2:14pm I'm sitting at 75% battery life.I don't have many apps on my phone besides Facebook and Weather Eye. The only apps I ever have running everyday are the ones that have to be running constantly (BBM, Phone, Browser, Messages). I rarely even browse the internet and I don't have Bluetooth or Wi-Fi enabled. However, I am always running on 3G.
I just downloaded the suggested update version 6.0 to my Bold 9700. I didn't touch it while it was loading. It took about 20 min or so, via my lap top.Then is showed downloaded update complete.Well, now my BB screen looks like a bunch of little colored crystals and doesn't work at all.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI have a bold 9700 but have a problem in as much as some of my apps don't seem to be able to access data across the network (O2 UK). I have granted them trusted application status, and have even gone in and checked all the permissions manually but some things simply won't allow me to use data. The strange thing is that other apps work fine (google maps, weather channel, facebook etc).
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have just bought a brandnew sim-free BB 9700 off Amazon UK and I have updated the OS to the latest version (v5.0.0.593). I use it with a sim-only O2 Germany pay monthly plan. I have also downloaded Apps World (1.1.0.33), Application Center (5.0.0) and BB Maps (5.0.0) using the Mac Desktop Manager, but they do not appear in the menu. They do appear on the Application list under options. I have rebooted the device as outlined in the BB Online Support instructions (pressing alt/cap/del ///// removing the battery) but there's still no sign of the icons. I have thoroughly looked for them, including sub folders etc, but they do not appear anywhere. Can anyone help?

In message-box, I couldn't see any sms here,but only emails and mms. It will show a list about short messages when i press(alt+s), but any message can't be open, just a list. I have tried v6.0.0.593/680/743, but it doesn't be fixed. I can only wipe the phone , but several days later,It will repeat. no BIS/BES with my phone.

View 1 Replies View RelatedWhen I switch on the camera application the track pad doesn't zoom anymore like it used to. The track pad on the screen shows only the + sign on top of the tracking pad but the - sign has disappeared, in the panel it shows zoom at 1.0x. I have pressed the accessory bottom and the function for zoom in and out have disappeared as well. The letter commands on the key board for zooming in and out don't work either. I would appreciate any assistance I can get.

The only options I get is More, More All and Get Plain Text.

Question 1.) Is that the reason why the icon disappeared (compatibility issue)? I have read issues on forums similiar to mine but it is not successful. I downloaded the BBM again and again; reboot the phone; but still it is not showing. I read something about BB device software version 6.0 (only one showi on the website).

When I got my 9700 it was running smooth. I downloaded a few apps and all of a sudden it started showing the little loading clock on almost everything I ran, so I deleted a few apps and voala!. It was working good again. But now, I have not downloaded any new apps and is giving me that clock againg.

I have downloaded and replaced the existing version. I have re-booted by taking the battery out, etc. The software is in my applications. I have gone through every folder clicking on show all also.

Google maps finds my location instantly, but bbmaps does not. I've reset the gps info and it consistently sees 5 - 9 satellites (sees 8 right now), still bbmaps is a no go.

I recently got a bold 9700 yet it seems to have no Maps application installed. I've searched for it by going Options>Applications>Add-on and it appears and gives me a choice to delete it should I want to, so I know it's on there. However there is no icon whatsoever to be found on the phone to open it.New to Blackberry phones by about a day so any help appreciated

I manged to update it to latest version, v5.0.0.593 (platform 5.1.0.1470). now im trying to get access to the app store and maps but have not got the icons in my menu. In the blackberry desktop manager its saying that they are installed. I have also tried downloading the app store via my pc and it tells me that it not compatible with my phone?.
