I'm trying to know everything about my brand new X6 and I got a problem with the GPS. Previously I got a TOM-TOM GPS and with it. I could find an address easily, but now When I want to go to an address I'm not able to get someone like:

I only found the search bar and Don't know how to introduce the exact country, city and address to look for.
I've just installed Ovi maps 3.01 on my N95 device, and downloaded maps for my country. But when I turn on the maps application, all the roads are placed in total wrong places. Some leads over water and through forests, and nothing seem to be right. I get my location on the right spot of the map, but the roads are chaotic.Any clues what could be wrong? I've already tried to reinstall the map file.
View 4 Replies View RelatedEast and west are completely reversed, no matter how much I try to calibrate the phone. For example, if I'm facing north (which the compass recognizes) and turn to the right to face east, the compass actually turns to the left to point west...and vice versa. No problems whatsoever with north and south....just a 180degree reversal of east and west.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI have a couple of problems with this version.
1. On a stretch of about 48 Km of mostly highways MAPS more or less gets lost and give me completely wrong directions, like "turn left" on the highway (not in the UK!). GPS signal is strong and even an external Bluetooth with better sensors does no help. It happens always at the same spots.
2. On some longer trips MAPS did hang for a couple a minutes, usually at crucial moments.
3. During this 48 km trip, which I know very well, I use MAPS mainly for traffic announcements, it gives me directions that are far from optimal, not for shortest route nor for the fastest. The routes in version 2 where correct.
4. It is impossible to keep the Bluetooth link with my Nokia CK-1W car kit up longer that 5 minutes. Usually It disconnected after a minute or 3.
When I'm using my 6710 Navigator in the car for navigation & listening to the directions via the car stereo (Bluetooth connection). About the first 1/2 second of the directions are missing. For example instead of "Turn right" I just hear "Right". I can sort of make my way but its hard not hearing the beginning of all the guidance. If I listen via the phone's speaker the instructions are complete. I have a 2009 Hyundai Getz, so its not an old stereo & have installed the latest maps/software on the phone. My 6110 didn't have this problem.
View 6 Replies View RelatedSince Nokia maps became free to use for driving with spoken directions, I've decided to use it again on my 5800 rather than another piece of Nav software that I had. Whilst it seems to work great, my only problem seems to be that it announces the directions over Bluetooth. As my phone is connected to my car via a built in Bluetooth kit (parrot), whenever I activate routing with spoken directions, the phone takes over the audio and mutes the stereo (with "PHONE" displayed on my factory head unit). The stereo is then muted for the whole journey or until I exit from Nokia maps. So it seems my only options are driving without music, or mute the 5800 and route without spoken directions ?

View 8 Replies View RelatedI have installed OVI Maps on my Nokia E71. At first everything was OK. Then it turns out that I can't go to opitons->Internet. This means I can't choose the internet provider so the phone can't go to the internet and find data for my trips. When I go to Opitons and choose Internet, the program closes and brings me back to the main menu. I can't delete the program. I have re-installed it several times and the issue still remains. Whah should I do?

Two weeks ago, I was travelling to another country and inserted a different SIM and installed it's settings, but when I came back and installed the orignal SIM, I lost some of the selection options Network Destination for Exchange and OVI Maps only...Previously I could see different options under Network Destinations such as 'Data Package' and access points which I had connected to previously. Now I only see 'Internet' and this has only affected the two applications mentioned above. I also have Hotmail & Gmail which give me the other options so I find it strange why has this happened to Exchange and OVI Maps only (even after updating the maps application).
This is preventing me from using my service provider's Data Package connection for these apps. I've contacted the provider and installed the default configuration settings recieved via SMS but that didn't help

View 6 Replies View RelatedI received a N97 today(from out my country). I put my sim in, i can recive or make calls, however many of the phones menu options are missing. There is no wifi menu, when i tried to connect via Suite, phone didn't show me suite, in mass storage usb it shows me total memory is less than 1 mega, and when i try to enter other applications like "My Nokia" i get "Not allowed now" message. Is the phone locked or something? Can i fix it or should i take it to a service?
View 8 Replies View Relatedok so i just got a nokia lumia 610, but everytime i try to add a new contact, i add a name and a phone number and as soon as i try to save it, it pairs it up with either facebook or hotmail (by itself), and then it says i cant it as i have choosen not to see contacts from facebook/hotmail, i would happily have my facebook contacts showing but the last thing i want is 300+ people on my phones contacts that i will never phone, or text, also if i try to show contacts from facebook, and then delete the 1's i don't want to see, it doesnt let me press delete so is there a way to connect only some contacts to facebook, so you only see the 1's your going to use and have the number of, or is there a way to delete the contacts you dont want to see from the peoples/contacts? if i cant sort this out i wont be able to use this phone,

View 7 Replies View RelatedI thought it would be a problem with the trackball, however, the trackball moves in all directions. The cursor and on-screen highlights do not. I am allowed to move in all directions on the screen except down. This hinders me from reading mails and moving to other applications/areas in order to even troubleshoot the problem myself. When i move the trackball left or right, the cursor moves left or right. When I move the trackball up, the cursor moves up. When I move the trackball down, the cursor moves UP! What could be the problem here. The thing just isn't working.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI really like Waze, but the output can only be heard through the S5 speaker, even though the phone / music is paired with my car's sound system. Hands free calling is fine through the car audio, in fact when I am in a call, the nav directions DO go to the car audio. BTW, this is not a new problem with Lollipop, as it was the same before the upgrade.

But if I try to use any other location (for example, from my contacts), it displays a "Loading..." message and stalls. This happens even with a strong wi-fi connection. This is an iPhone 4S running iOS 5.1 with Verizon. My Maps app is using the standard view without traffic.

I have a Nokia 5310 and my external volume (+) button does not seem to be working at all. When I popped the keys off, it looks like the button isn't even connected. I have no idea how this happened - the phone is brand new. Is there a way to go through the phone settings to change the volume or is the only option the external volume controls?

Theme etc etc but then in 2 seconds the theme options automatically close in 1-2 seconds and i cant change anything and i am back in the previous menu.. Then i again select themes, I see the options for 1-2 seconds and then it goes back to the previous menu.
