I just updated the firmware on my N900 from 42.11 to 44.1 and the upgrade was successful. However I do not see any new options in my app manager.Did any one of you face the same problem?
View 8 RepliesWith the upgrade we got the ability to Delete mail off the server for POP3 (i.e., Yahoo.) But we lost in other areas here is what is happening: I have Yahoo and Gmail through the N900 email client. Both only receive mail when you hit Send/Receive. I have selected in Settings to update email every 15 minutes. For Yahoo it will update (you see the time change) but no mail will show up. So it's going through the motions but not executing. For Gmail there is no update the time doesn't change nothing happens. Every now and again mail will show up during the day very sporadic - certainly not when you have selected to "update" the mail. When you wake up in the morning Yahoo will say you have no mail you can hit send/receive manually but I have had to turn off the phone and turn it back on to get Yahoo rolling again. Gmail will have mail no idea when it came in overnight but at least it's there. I have deleted and reinstalled the mail accounts off the N900 several times to no avail.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI've set options for many apps (like to always allow the network access, to ask for reading user data the first time, etc.), but when I start the app, those options are not in effect. As one specific example, for Opera Mini, I set the option to always allow network access. But when I start this app and choose to open a link, it asks for the network access. Same for reading the user data. I checked the settings in the App Manager and they're fine, but just not in effect. I restarted the phone; still the same thing. The settings are present there alright, just not working. What else can be done to tell the phone to use the options set through the App Manager?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI recently upgraded my BB Desktop Manager to the latest version and now have lost the icon on the phone for BB Maps.Desktop Manager shows it as installed, as does the phone. But the icon is not available.I have tried to remove and re-add using Desktop Manager with no success. This appears to be a known issue: the problem is you are missing one module. If you look in Options / Advanced Options / Applications / BlackBerry Maps, you should see four:net_rim_bb_lbsnet_rim_bb_lbs_apinet_rim_bb_lbs_ribbonnet_rim_bb_lbs_resource_en I am missing the ribbon module. Been unable to download from the BB Website I cannot do a show all on the home screen as that option does not exist.
View 6 Replies View RelatedSince upgrading to Version 5.0.1 neither the media manger nor blackberry media synch now work. the media manager always prompts to install and downloads but then does nothing. The blackberry media sync gets so far after launch the gives an error message. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling a number of times but cannot get the media manager to install so cannot now get any media off my phone or on to it. Any ideas anyone?

View 7 Replies View RelatedI have installed OVI Maps on my Nokia E71. At first everything was OK. Then it turns out that I can't go to opitons->Internet. This means I can't choose the internet provider so the phone can't go to the internet and find data for my trips. When I go to Opitons and choose Internet, the program closes and brings me back to the main menu. I can't delete the program. I have re-installed it several times and the issue still remains. Whah should I do?

Two weeks ago, I was travelling to another country and inserted a different SIM and installed it's settings, but when I came back and installed the orignal SIM, I lost some of the selection options Network Destination for Exchange and OVI Maps only...Previously I could see different options under Network Destinations such as 'Data Package' and access points which I had connected to previously. Now I only see 'Internet' and this has only affected the two applications mentioned above. I also have Hotmail & Gmail which give me the other options so I find it strange why has this happened to Exchange and OVI Maps only (even after updating the maps application).
This is preventing me from using my service provider's Data Package connection for these apps. I've contacted the provider and installed the default configuration settings recieved via SMS but that didn't help
I have set up sync profile for my calendar on Nokia E72. However I am not able to find following features. => How to restrict the sync for just say a week with my calendar server ? Currently when I synchronized, all my calendar entries got updated on my phone.=> How to automatically synchronize the sync profile ? I do not see any options Any inputs are welcome?
View 6 Replies View RelatedI received a N97 today(from out my country). I put my sim in, i can recive or make calls, however many of the phones menu options are missing. There is no wifi menu, when i tried to connect via Suite, phone didn't show me suite, in mass storage usb it shows me total memory is less than 1 mega, and when i try to enter other applications like "My Nokia" i get "Not allowed now" message. Is the phone locked or something? Can i fix it or should i take it to a service?
View 8 Replies View Relatedok so i just got a nokia lumia 610, but everytime i try to add a new contact, i add a name and a phone number and as soon as i try to save it, it pairs it up with either facebook or hotmail (by itself), and then it says i cant it as i have choosen not to see contacts from facebook/hotmail, i would happily have my facebook contacts showing but the last thing i want is 300+ people on my phones contacts that i will never phone, or text, also if i try to show contacts from facebook, and then delete the 1's i don't want to see, it doesnt let me press delete so is there a way to connect only some contacts to facebook, so you only see the 1's your going to use and have the number of, or is there a way to delete the contacts you dont want to see from the peoples/contacts? if i cant sort this out i wont be able to use this phone,

I have a Nokia 5310 and my external volume (+) button does not seem to be working at all. When I popped the keys off, it looks like the button isn't even connected. I have no idea how this happened - the phone is brand new. Is there a way to go through the phone settings to change the volume or is the only option the external volume controls?
View 6 Replies View RelatedI have a strange problem with 5530.. I go into settings --> personal --> Themes and then themes open and shows me options like General, Menu, Home Scr. Theme etc etc but then in 2 seconds the theme options automatically close in 1-2 seconds and i cant change anything and i am back in the previous menu.. Then i again select themes, I see the options for 1-2 seconds and then it goes back to the previous menu.

I understand from the Nokia web-site and elsewhere that there has been at least one subsequent fimware update (currently v. 22.014) with minor bug fixes. However, I don't get offered any such updates, either OTA using the E6's SW updater, or alternativeky via Nokia OVI suite (v. 3.1..1.90) on a Windows7 PC.

View 7 Replies View Relatedi'm having a lots of problems with my app manager, it fails to load catalogues like the extras or the devels, i understand that it needs a couple of days sometimes to load catalogues, but its been a week, and i''m still having problems, i noticed these problems after installing some apps from ovi store, the app manager started to display messages like failed to.... or error... and when i opened the catalogues it said no catalogues, after a couple of reboots, and after i deleted like 10 apps, everything went back to normal, but i am still having problems, so is there a way to reinstall the app manager ?? a command maybe ??

Ok if I press the download icon it appears that there are not available applications, if I do the same with the update icon appears the same text and the "operation fail" message.If I try to download anything from the OVI or from maemo.org, It start to do it but a few second later it pront the next message: "Impossible download ........"
