IPhone :: 4s Won't Connect To My Car Head Unit It Comes Up Connected And Then Half Way Thought It Comes Up As Not Connected

My iPhone 4s won't connect to my car head unit it comes up connected and then half way thought it comes up as not connected and when I try to connect again it come up as device is out of range even when the phone is right next to it?
I'm trying to connect my iphone 4S to Alpine CDE-125BT head unit. I have the latest iphone IOS update (v5.1). When I connect the phone, the head unit gives me "Unit Error" which means that the iphone is not recognized.
pioneer deh 590ib head unit will not auto connect it works but i have to connect it manually and put in the 0000 password everytime i get in the car everything else auto connects?
I bought a new car, Peugeot 108 (latest model). I have an issue with bluetooth calling. Basically, any kind of call I make or receive (from phone, from head unit, from phonebook on head unit, typing the number in, etc) the head unit always shows "unknown caller" and neither the number or the name is displayed. Is there some kind of setting on my phone I should make to get the names to show up on the head unit? The names are displayed correctly using an iPhone.
I switched from my s4 to the s6 and I am having bluetooth complications with my pioneer avh p4400 headunit. I did some google-ing around and found that a a few others are having the same problem but seeing as the phone came out a few days ago not everyone is inquiring about it. Bluetooth audio does not auto connect/play like it did on the s4 and there is no song info/description displayed which then renders the track skipping buttons useless on the headunit. I found an app to fix the auto connect issue at least.
I am using Google play music so this is kind of unusual. I am not sure if it is an s6 only issue having something to do with the new touchwiz or if android 5.0 is using different bluetooth protocols than prior. Everything is updated to the latest firmware. I was debating on upgrading to the 4100nex but if this issue is going to be present there also I would rather not have an extra expensive paperweight.
i have a GSII and recently bought a Lexar 32GB Micro SDHC class 10 to put my music on. I have a Sony bluetooth head unit in my car which acts as my hands free and the added bonus of connecting to my music on my phone thus having no need to change CD's or have your friend be a DJ next to you. This worked perfectly with my previous Sony Ericsson W995 phone however now I have the GSII these two things happen: -
1) I might be imagining it but I think I hear crackling in the music when playing over the bluetooth, might just be my speakers but can't remember conciously hearing and noting this to myself on my old phone and when my mate connects his 3GS iPhone to it there doesn't seem to be this problem?
2) There are definite, noteworthy interruptions in the playback over the sound system however the music hasn't been paused on the phone and so I miss bits of the songs! This is both unusual and annoying as you can imagine!
I'm loving my lumia 800, but this bluetooth problem is driving me crazy! The handset pairs fine with the head unit in my c class Merc, I can make and receive calls and text messages, but it continually disconnect the bluetooth as though the phone is powering bluetooth off and then powering it back up and reconnecting. This sometimes happens every 30-40 seconds other days it can be ever 3-5 minutes. The head unit works fine with my blackberry, htc desire and a mates iphone so I know that's not at fault. I've tried deleting the pairing and restoring my phone prior to the update but all to no avail.
My iPhone is on the Bell network, along with 3 other iPhones in my household. We have WiFi and the phone indicate that they are connected to the WiFi when we are in the house. However, my bill from Bell indicates several instances where the phones (all 4 at different times) are connected to the 3G network for 24+ hours at a time. Additionally, it shows the phone connected twice during that time period (as though there were 2 different sessions at exactly the same time, but with differing amount of data connected)
The explaination that Bell gives me is that there are 'minimized' applications still working on 3G even though the phone says it is on WiFi, and that each of these opens its own 'connection'My understanding of cell technology is that the phone can only access one method of Internet connectivity at a time, and that it can be explained as a 'pipe' or 'straw' carrying connectivity and all of the data. I have never heard of a phone that can access two different types at the same time, nor one that uses separate 'sessions' at the same time of either type of connectivity.
I would assume that I turn on my phone in the morning and I am in my house, it indicates WiFi, so I can browse the web, collect my email and update my Facebook on that 'session' that lasts 4 hours until I leave the house. Now my 3G kicks in and the email that I still have open now collects through the opened 3G session, as well as the page I left open downloading something. When I get to work and enter my WiFi area there, the session would then collect my email through WiFi again, and my download as well.
I currently have a curve 9300, and my service provider is Telus Mobility. I am connected to wifi and up till about 3 days ago everything was working fine, now it shows I am connected, but I can only get on internet for about 5 mins, I have to shut off all my connections then reconnect them for it to work again.
Having problems with my Xperia Ray connecting to my Jawbone. It shows it connected, and the jawbone even beeps when calls are ended. The problem is all of the phone audio is routed through the phone and not the Bluetooth.
iPhone won't turn on. When I connect it to my charger it turns on, comes to a screen saying iPhone, then says connect to itunes. When I connect it to my computer it shows the screen with the apple for a few seconds.
I forgot my iphone 5 passcode and it became disabled when i guess it.. Then it says "connect to iTunes" so i connected but it keeps on loading for 4 hours already>,< is there any other way to reset my phone?
On the Torch, everytime I open an app, Facebook, Twitter, Scoremobile... the 'connected BBM' asks me if I want to connect. It doesn't matter if I say Yes or No, it keeps asking everytime.
I've only had this phone for a couple of weeks and thought I'd give the radio a go but it comes up saying 'Please connect the headphones or handsfree. They work as the radio antenna.'. I am using the headphones that came with the phone.
I have connected the phone with Wifi, the system shows it is connected, the wifi bars show strength as very high. Yet unable to connect tointernet/email/facebook/apps shops etc through the wifi.I have checke dthe mac addresses - they are the same. no restictions from the router side. I am at a loss.
I have a BlackBerry Storm 2 9550 3G CDMA WiFi OS v5.0.0.1015 Bundle 1656. This phone was with Verizon previously and I have no present carrier. I want to take this phone to Europe to work WiFi and possibly a European Sim Card. I worked with Verizon and the phone is unlocked. I took it to Verizon, and they, as I had done, connected to a WiFi network (ID above clock in white), data and roaming turned off, and received a "success" on setting up. I noticed the "WiFi" symbol is a dull white, as opposed to the network name which is bright white. I go to the browser and it allows me to put in a URL, but when I try to go there, "Internet is not available, check with provider". The browser is set to Hotspot. I have removed the battery to no avail, and have done a security wipe, but the results are the same.Is there a setting I am missing, or something else basic I have overlooked?
I can not get my galaxy s5 to automatically connect to 4G after being connected to wifi, the smart network switch is activated however it doesn't make any difference. the only way for me to reconnect to my network is to restart the device.
We have a new xoom. Last night it connected fine to our network and the internet.Today at the office it is connected to the network, shows an ip address but when I try get on the internet, it just thinks forever and then times out
I just got a new BB Bold 9700 from the UK and had it sent to me in Iraq. I've connected to my home wifi, which i used to do with my old BB to use the BBM service, but for some reason my new BB won't connect to the internet even though it is connected to my wifi. My laptop is connected to the internet through the wifi and there doesn't seem to be any problems with conflicting IP addresses or anything like that so i don't know why my BB won't connect to the internet. Could it be that my BB wasn't registered while it was in the UK or anything like that? Or is there another reason?
About a 2 months ago when I would connect my blackberry storm (the first Storm) to my computer via the USB cord that came with the phone, I was able to transfer music from my computer (itunes) to the blackberry through Blackberry Media Sync with no problems (open Blackberry Media Sync, connect blackberry to computer via USB, and Media Sync screen would change so that I could sync music to the blackberry storm). I didn't even have trouble installing Blackberry Media Sync back in December 2009
But now after I connect my Blackberry Storm to my computer, the Blackberry Media Sync screen does not change and continues to display "Please connect a Blackberry Device". I have tried these tips that I found online: 1.) restarting my computer (windows vista) several times 2.) updating/reinstalling Blackberry Media Sync and then restarting my computer 3.) reconnecting blackberry to computer, then opening Media Sync 4.) opening Media Sync first and then connecting blackberry to computer. 5.) installing BlackBerry USB and Modem Drivers (even though I can't find the USB driver for it under Universal Serial Bus Controller when I check in the Device Manager when you go to Control Panel - System and Maintenance - Device Manager, but I did find RIM Virtual Series Port v2 COM4 & COM5 when you check "devices by connection" under View in Device Manager) Or are RIM Virtual Series Port v2 COM4 & COM5 the drivers I'm looking for ? 6.) Going to Options (on blackberry) - Memory and making sure Media Card Support, Media Transfer Protocol (MTO) and Mass Storage Mode Support are set to "On", Encryption Mode is set to "None", and Auto Enable Mass Storage Mode When Connected it set to "Prompt" though I have tried "Yes" as well. It says I have 785MB of free Device Memory space out of 879MB of total Device Memory and 7.1GB of free Media Card space out of a total of 7.3GB of Media Card space.
None of the above tips and troubleshooting advice has worked. I have also checked the Blackberry Technical Solution Center but I haven't found anything from there that has helped either. I have found online forums/discussions including issues of people having "blackberry media sync cannot connect to the device" pop-up, but I haven't had this pop-up. The Media Sync screen just stays the same as if I never connected the blackberry storm to my computer in the first place even though my blackberry storm is charging via the computer.
Is there something I'm missing or haven't done yet? What should I do?
After spending the multiple hours required to simply restore my iPhone from a backup, I ejected the phone from iTunes and unlocked the phone with the slider, at which time I was asked whether I would like to set up the iPhone as a new phone or restore it from a backup (cloud or computer-located). I found it odd that I would be asked this question following completion of a restoration from a backup, but I went ahead and told the iPhone I would like it to do what it had already just done, at which time the display told me "connect to iTunes". After connecting to iTunes, my music, app configuration and preferences were visible in iTunes, and I could play music directly from the iPhone. I could also make changes and sync them to the iPhone.
However, the iPhone itself displayed the "connect to iTunes" message throughout, and when I ejected the phone from iTunes this remained. Turning on and off the phone produced no different result. I've started the restore again from scratch now, this time going to the phone and running through the wifi/restore choice options before choosing "restore from backup" in iTunes itself (this is not something that is indicated as required by iTunes or the iPhone at this stage). So I've got a couple hours to burn before I find out if that was the magic combination. Also, open letter to Apple: I don't mean to be unkind, but every single experience I've had trying to back up or restore my iPhone has been an exercise in frustration resulting from the process simply not working as it is described and as it should work. Get your house in order.
I can't get my iPhone 5s to connect to my MBA. The iPhone connects to other Macs no problem (when I plug it in to the Macs at work, it connects fine). I have tried different USB cables. I have tried different USB ports. I have reinstalled iTunes. I've reset my iPhone and restarted my Mac. All other devices (USB drives) connect via USB without a problem.Â
Other iPhones connect to iTunes on my MBA without a problem.Â
It will charge via USB - but it won't show up in iTunes.Â
In the past, it has been able to see the iPhone but it has been very intermittent and I can't seem to work out any pattern to when it connects and when it doesn't.Â
I am still getting used to using the search function on this forum. I have not found out how to search a particular thread yet.Anyway... is there a way to keep the iPhone's WiFi connected when locked? I get practically zero signal from ATT in my building so my phone's only communication is done over our wireless. Well, when my phone locks, the WiFi disconnects basically crippling the PUSH feature of Exchange email. It is spectacularly aggravating when emails dont show up on the phone within a few minutes of arriving in my Inbox and even more aggravating when I am not at my desk and an important email comes through. I have not found a way to do so, so I turn to the all knowing people here.
my iPhone fell on the floor yesterday; now it will ony operate when connected to the PC - then it works fine. If I disconnect it from the PC, the screen reverts to black with the apple logo, eventually completely black; iPhone is unresponsive until reconnected to PC.
