View 1 RepliesI have a Blackberry 9300 Curve. When I sync my BB using desktop manager the time zone re-sets itself from GMT Dublin London time to Eniwetok-12 gmt ( I don't even know were Eniwetok is) . Here's some of the settings and systems information. On the Blackberry under Date and Time the update time is set to automatic, time zone- 12 hour-auto update. On the Desktop Software I have all the default settings to standard 2 way sync default with Microsoft Outlook 2007. The time zone on my computer is GMT London Dublin. I am running on Windows 7 - 64 bit.

View 1 Replies View Relatedhave had my Pearl Flip for less than 6 months. The Desktop Manager & Media Sync have NEVER worked completely, even ater many, many uninstalls and re-installs.
BB Pearl 8220 Flip
EDGE Wi-Fi
v 4.6.0.222 (Platform 4.1.0.80)
I just updated the OS and the Desktop software to the newer versions above. As a result of that my calendar does not synchronize with the MSOutlook. The Desktop Software says that the Calendar is not installed.
If I go to the Selective Restore option he recognizes the Calendar (so the Calendar is there).
I am trying to sync my BB with my desktop software. I was advised the only way i could get music on my BB was to take the memory card out the phone use an adapter to put music on then put the memory card back in BB.
Surely when i connect my BB to my laptop with the desktop software on it, i should be able to see the music and pictures that are on my phone, or should i not??
I have gone into the options menu on the screen and had a look at my memory, and it is telling me "Media Card cannot be read. Verify that the memory card is properly inserted, formatted and not corrupted".
I have also made sure that Mass Storage support is on, along with Media Card Support, but i still cant see anything.

View 9 Replies View RelatedMy Blackberry Curve 9300 regularly reverts to a screen saying 'connecting to desktop'. The phone then 'freezes' on that screen and I cannot do anything and the only solution is to open the back, remove and replace the battery and wait for the phone to reboot. This seems to do the trick but it's happening quite frequently which is a major nuisance, particularly since the reboot process takes such an age. Is there anything I can do to stop this happening?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am using the Blackberry Curve 9300 and I am also currently using the Yahoo Calendar and Google Calendar for separate uses. I find that I am not able to sync my Blackberry Curve 9300 to either of these Calendar.
On my computer, I am currently using Thunderbird and hope that I will be able to syn my calendar here as well.
My Curve willl not Sync with outlook. I have tried removing the desktop software and reinstalling and now it will not install the latest version. This all occured because my calander would not sync and was requesting to sync with .ics file? instead of windows outlook.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI am new to the Blackberry game, having used Nokia smartphones mostly.I got a Blackberry Curve 3G 9300 couple of days back. It came with OS 5 pre-installed. I got a BB plan activated with my provider (Airtel - www.airtel.in ) and got it to sync my work email, contacts and calendar using the BIS site. My employer uses Google Apps Premier Edition, so it was a rather painless process.Afterwards, I upgraded the device to OS6. Once the upgrade was complete, my emails started syncing automatically - nothing really needed from my side. But the Calendar and Contacts do not sync any more. I can see that the checkboxes for Calendar and Contacts are enabled both on the BIS site as well as the device, but they simply do not sync.

View 2 Replies View RelatedHey anyone have a link to Blackberry Desktop Software v5...or even v4? V6 has been giving me nightmares since it came out.
I can never get my organizer to allow sync of my contacts...the check box is inaccessible and it states "Not Installed".
I completely uninstalled the application, removed all of the folders and cleaned the registry them reinstalled the program but still have the problem. The last time the Blackberry Desktop Software worked was a very early version of 5 or maybe v4,
I recently had to reboot my Blackberry and lost all data. Luckily my desktop was fairly updated...with the exception of the Password Keeper!! I cannot find anywhere on the desktop application where this data was stored...and I have like 30 passwords. Anyone know if and where Password Keeper data gets stored on the desktop during a sync?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI am using Curve 9300 with desktop software 6.02.44 and BB device software 6.0 bundle 2391. Laptop is running Windows 7. I do not have a media card installed on BB 9300. When I plug BB into USB on laptop, there is no drive letter showing up in Explorer. In Desktop software, Media Sync Music, Videos, Pictures when it is clicked it says "A Problem Occurred while trying to connect to your BB device". In Device Options in desktop software Synchronize Media Files is grayed out.
Media tab says "Media options are not available". Is there a hardware or driver problem? Do I need a media card to have these options available? I have camera pictures on the internal BB memory but cannot transfer them to my laptop with a USB connection because of this problem. Backup and restore is no problem. Install and remove applications is no problem. Desktop software detects the BB no problem. Only problem is the Media Sync does not work. With the same laptop and desktop software the Media Sync works no problem with my BB Torch 9800.
Since upgrading to OS 6 I can no longer sync my GroupWise calendar appointments on my BB Curve 3G 9300. Previously I used OS 5 and GroupWise v 8.0.1 and the sync was fine. I accepted the prompt to upgrade to OS6 and now it fails as soon as it tries to sync. We don't have an Enterprise server. Do I have to downgrade the OS to v 5 again (how do I do this?)

I recently changes jobs and put my new information into my phone and I am now working from home so I have never needed this before. my email is sending and receiving no problem, my calendar is syncing perfectly but my contacts will not sync. the sync process seems to work from the software (it goes thru the motions) but when I look in outlook, no contactsI have looked around the net for possible solution and even tried most of the things I've seen...to no avail. I just want to get the contacts off my phone and into my outlook.

View 3 Replies View RelatedWe recently upgraded my wife's Blackberry to a Curve 3G 9330. When we try to sync to Outlook (non-Exchange), we encounter an error with the contacts (address book). The Desktop Software simply indicates an "unknown error" - not particularly facilitate. We've narrowed it down to a potentially bad contact record on the Blackberry, but cannot find a way to delete it. The options menu will not come up on the Blackberry for this one record. We've try to sync the device by overwriting the contacts with new data from Outlook, but still get's the same error message. I cannot find any information on erasing/deleting the complete contact list on the Blackberry.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI am using curve 9300. I installed blackberry desktop sw and tried to sync my outlook contacts. The sw read all the 745 contacts and asked me to accept or reject. So when I clicked on accept, it just copied 4 items without any contact details and just crashed and gave an error msg "unknown error". I tried to delete those contacts and it's not allowing me to do so without giving any msg. I don't even get a delete msg on the bb. I even tried to press on menu when I go to the contacts and it won't appear on those particular records. I rebooted the pc and the phone and tried again and got "error encountered, error code 0x80040fb3". I even uninstalled the application and tried ver 4 & 5. The result is the same. I am stuck with those records and can't delete them. Further 740 contact that can't have on my blackberry.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI've been using DM6 for the last week or so and am very disappointed. It does not seem to remember the last time that I synced or backed up. The only time it remembers is the first time I synced my BB with it. Not such a big issue for syncing, but I like my BB to backup weekly...so once a week has passed after the first sync, it wants to back up every time.
DM 5.0.1 worked flawlessly, but since I am using Outlook 2010, I can't go back.Come on RIM, you can do better than this.Any suggestions on how to get DM to remember when it actually backed up or synced?
I've got a BB9700, Bold 2.At home, Outlook, it syncs happily. At work, with Lotus Notes, it crashed when "updating the devide calendar". There was no issue a few months ago doing exactly the same thing.I'm not sure if it's related, but for some stupid reason I installed Facebook and accidently got the calendar to sync with facebook. I have now removed all entries for the Facebook calendar and al the Service book for Facebook calendar, so it now doesn't appear anywhere.
Facebook is blocked by works firewall, so I therefore assumed that was the problem, hence deleting all my calendar entries associated to Facebook.I've tried syncing with both Bluetooth and the cable.
