Mar 2, 2011I recently installed/ updated the BB Desktop Software and when I plug in my BB Curve 8520, my comp doesn't recognize the device.
Note 1: I've installed all updates on my computer AND the new OS on my phone already. Note 2: My phone recognizes that it's plugged into the computer because begins to charge.
BB Curve :: 9300 Time Zone Changes When Sync With Desktop Manager?
May 2, 2011I have a Blackberry 9300 Curve. When I sync my BB using desktop manager the time zone re-sets itself from GMT Dublin London time to Eniwetok-12 gmt ( I don't even know were Eniwetok is) . Here's some of the settings and systems information. On the Blackberry under Date and Time the update time is set to automatic, time zone- 12 hour-auto update. On the Desktop Software I have all the default settings to standard 2 way sync default with Microsoft Outlook 2007. The time zone on my computer is GMT London Dublin. I am running on Windows 7 - 64 bit.

Jun 15, 2010my wifes 8530 we just did the BB App World upgrade. Now we can't see or find the icon to open and use it. After being on the phone with Verizon for a while they contacted BB and this is what I was told to do.
-Download BB desktop manager on my computer
-Backup all data from the phone
-Do a hard reset which will delete all data from the phone
-Reinstall all data from desktop manager back to phone and then the icon should appear

I have tried all options, the device manager does not 'see' my BB.I have tried troubleshooting advice - turned on 'enable mass storage', still does not work, also tried different USB ports (my computer does recognise the BB in my drives) and temporarily switched of anti-vrus and firewall, to no avail.

I've unistalled Destop Manager, reverted back to 5.0.0 and I still have the same issue. This was and is currently setup with my Outlook 2003 (SP3) exchange server to forward my work emails, and it worked up until I updated to 5.0.1 last week.

Aug 17, 2010I having the same problem with my computer not recognizing my blackberry, so first I went my sprint store to see if it was the phone. After an. Hour it wasn't the phone, so I thought about it and said my midi recorder and ipod cord wouldn't connect. So came home and clean my computer and uninstalled programs that I wasn't using. So after an hour of that it still wouldn't pop up, so I also uninstalled my usb drivers and still result. So I believe its my usb cord so imma try another cord when I get paid. I'm running vista and tried the DM and everything.

May 24, 2010I have two issues here on my 8330.First one is from day one, when I connect to the laptop, the BB does not show up as a drive at all. All my other phones (not BB's) have shown up as a drive where I can open folders within and drag and drop. Why can I not do this with the BB?Most recently the device manager is not recognizing my phone either, I plug it in and it shows an error with the USB, saying the device is not recognized, and in the device manager, I have a yellow exclamation mark saying 'unknown device'.
I have researched these issues online and can't find anything that will solve either of my problems and I'm getting extremely frustrated. At this rate, I'm ready to get rid of the BB and go for something like the iphone if I can't get this working properly. Seems to be more trouble then it's worth

Because before that it worked very fine.I tried to change the configuration on the desktop manager but it didn't work out. My computer doesn't recognize my phone as an usb device either.

Recently I upgraded my computer to Windows 7 from Vista.Now, the computer doesn't recognize my BB, and Desktop Mgr doesnt *find* the BB when plugged in.
