this afternoon i was look around the apps for my Blackberry and i would like to update my Curve software , the problem is that my computer is not recognizing my BlackBerry, only the mass storage works , i'm using firefox right now , so it's not a browser problem..
I would like to know a solution , beucase i would like to install some apps on my BlackBerry.
I having the same problem with my computer not recognizing my blackberry, so first I went my sprint store to see if it was the phone. After an. Hour it wasn't the phone, so I thought about it and said my midi recorder and ipod cord wouldn't connect. So came home and clean my computer and uninstalled programs that I wasn't using. So after an hour of that it still wouldn't pop up, so I also uninstalled my usb drivers and still result. So I believe its my usb cord so imma try another cord when I get paid. I'm running vista and tried the DM and everything.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have two issues here on my 8330.First one is from day one, when I connect to the laptop, the BB does not show up as a drive at all. All my other phones (not BB's) have shown up as a drive where I can open folders within and drag and drop. Why can I not do this with the BB?Most recently the device manager is not recognizing my phone either, I plug it in and it shows an error with the USB, saying the device is not recognized, and in the device manager, I have a yellow exclamation mark saying 'unknown device'.
I have researched these issues online and can't find anything that will solve either of my problems and I'm getting extremely frustrated. At this rate, I'm ready to get rid of the BB and go for something like the iphone if I can't get this working properly. Seems to be more trouble then it's worth

I have the android xperia X 10. I want to update the software as my phone is choppy and slow. I have connected the USB cable to my phone and computer. The phone light comes on ... so it is charging but the my computer does not detect the phone being attached and my phone does not have the little connection symbol. I tried hooking something else to the computer and it was recognized.

View 8 Replies View RelatedEarlier today I had to upgrade my BBM and I was required to reboot so that's exactly what I did. When the phone turned back on all of my media was gone. I turned off my phone, pulled the battery and turned it back on and that still didn't work. I tried again and I even pulled out the card and inserted it back in. When I press the camera button it says media card unavailable. That's when I determined there was a problem with the phone reading the card because at first I assumed all of my media was erased.

I have tried all options, the device manager does not 'see' my BB.I have tried troubleshooting advice - turned on 'enable mass storage', still does not work, also tried different USB ports (my computer does recognise the BB in my drives) and temporarily switched of anti-vrus and firewall, to no avail.
im having problems with my computer recognizing my blackberry 8330(boost mobile). the phone itself is connected to the computer properly and even when i go to the media manager it shows up. the problem is when i go to my computer( i am using vista btw) the computer doesn't exactly recognize the device, it just says removable disk (F now im not sure how but one time when i connected the phone to my computer a window appeared called "auto play" which gave me quick and easy access to my phone via different folders, but now when i connect the phone none of that happens. i would like to be able to connect my device to my computer and have that window (auto play) appear when i conenct my phone because it is easier for me to transfer my photo's/music etc.. how can i do this?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI recently installed/ updated the BB Desktop Software and when I plug in my BB Curve 8520, my comp doesn't recognize the device.
Note 1: I've installed all updates on my computer AND the new OS on my phone already. Note 2: My phone recognizes that it's plugged into the computer because begins to charge.
I was given a BB Curve 8310 to attempt a repair. When I attach the USB cable to the BB the system tray does not pop up with a notification that says "found new hardware" like it normally does when you plug a BB in. When the phone boots up it displays error msg " JVM Error 513". I attempted to looking into the device by using "cracmem" and "JL_Cmder" and no data is to be found and thus there is nothing to wipe. I suspect that the device has already been wiped thus the no data. I have pulled the battery from the phone and reinstalled; unplugged the usb cable during the BB boot process and nothing is happening. The DM application loader will not allow me to procede due to computer not recognizing the BB device thus it is not generating the "USB:UNKNOWN".

I'll try to explain what's happening and hope somebody can give me some ideas.There are 3 towers that I use when I am driving around for work, all almost in line with one another.I live at A and have EDGE service there only. I know and accept this. I work at B, where there is 3G. Tower C also has 3G.The problem I have is that when I go from A to B, my phone does not automatically switch to 3G. In fact, I let it be all day today and never switched from EDGE. Its not until I get into range of tower C that it switches over. If I come from C to B I have 3G coverage at B, but if I come from A to B it doesn't register.
Its difficult to explain with words but I hope that works.Is this a problem with the radio, or the phone, or something else? Its terribly frustrating as I spend a lot of time driving between these several coverages and want the changes to be as fluid as possible.I failed to mention that I have the newest firmware from HTC on the phone, the one that gave me WM 6.1. I didn't want to change to a cooked ROM until I got everything figured out.
I have an 8530 with 1.5 free space that won't be recognized by my Windows Professional 7 600 G OS. I have uninstalled BB OS, re-installed it, and re-booted my computer several times, The driver won't be recognized by the computer. I've tried updating the driver, but it won't take. "Software for MTP USB device cannot start." On the device driver, the BB phone and USB composite device are working properly, but the "RIM MS/MTP won't start." So the whole device isn't recognized as a device on the system.

The driver won't show up in the computer, but the BB phone says, "File version 6.1.7600.16385. Win 7_rtm.090713-1255.Fortunately, I can sync my organizer data, but I can't transfer pictures or music.
I am trying to access my memos from my computer so that I can save them to the computer and back them up. When I plug my BB into my computer though all I see is the contents of the memory card and there are no memos on there. I guess the memos must be stored into the hard memory of the BB, but I cannot figure out how to access it.

Anyway, after 4 trips back and forth from the store I bought it from to work out OTHER problems (bad battery as it turned out) I finally have a phone that I know will work (saw them charge it in the store, from a computer).Now, I know for a fact that my USB cable and ports will support a BB device for charging and syncing with a computer. Both were working just fine on my old BB device which I had until last week. The USB ports in my desktop are all new, and my laptop is less than a year old, all its ports are fine. So far, I've been able to rule out virtually all of the possible issues that the device suggests. I have done a reset by pulling the battery. I have attempted to charge it via a wall outlet with a USB to AC adapter. Nothing at all happens. I plugged it into the computer, and it told me that it cannot charge the device and it recommended I install the Desktop Manager. Well, it was already on the computer. I installed the USB drivers on their own, I've tried all my ports on both computers.
