View 3 Replies View RelatedI am having trouble connecting/syncing my Blackberry 9360 with the desktop software. After I select my phone from the list of devices an attempt is made to install all the needed drivers. 2 of 3 install automatically. The 3rd is 'not found'. I would imagine this is the problem. So far I have researched and attempted every possible fix I could find on the Internet, including manually selecting drivers as directed.Without this driver the desktop program does NOT SEE my device. Even so, I AM connected with my computer via bluetooth. I can force files to be be sent and/or received between my phone and computer but would really like the automatic ability to have everything synced without the need to plug in a cable.
View 6 Replies View RelatedJust got a brand new BB9360 as part of a product exchange plan. My old BB's track ball had worn out. Anyway, after 4 trips back and forth from the store I bought it from to work out OTHER problems (bad battery as it turned out) I finally have a phone that I know will work (saw them charge it in the store, from a computer). Now, I know for a fact that my USB cable and ports will support a BB device for charging and syncing with a computer. Both were working just fine on my old BB device which I had until last week. The USB ports in my desktop are all new, and my laptop is less than a year old, all its ports are fine. So far, I've been able to rule out virtually all of the possible issues that the device suggests. I have done a reset by pulling the battery. I have attempted to charge it via a wall outlet with a USB to AC adapter. Nothing at all happens. I plugged it into the computer, and it told me that it cannot charge the device and it recommended I install the Desktop Manager. Well, it was already on the computer. I installed the USB drivers on their own, I've tried all my ports on both computers.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI was updating my software on my curve 9360 and it got to 10% on the overall backup and 0% on social feeds and has been like that for about 5 hours. So, I connected my phone to my laptop and tried updating it that way, but it kept telling me there was an error connecting with the device. I really need to use my phone and I'm not too worried about updating it anymore, just as long as it goes back to normal so that I can phone, text and bbm once again. I have had my phone for about a year now, and I would be so upset if it was broken!

I have a customer who came in the other day with a problem. He purchased a Samsung Omnia II from Bell and had them unlock the phone for him so he can use it in the Dominican while he's down there for 2-3 months at a time. Problem is this, he hasn't been able to successfully get the phone to connect with his computer. Bell tech support have gone over several possible solutions to no avail. He has tried connecting to both a Windows based PC as well as a Mac and still no connection, although the Mac apparently will get further in connecting before failing.
I'm wondering if the phone being unlocked might be causing the issues, but Bell themselves unlocked it. The customer is coming back in this weekend and I would like to have some kinda answer or at least hope of an answer for him.
I recently bought a second hand iphone 4 and I have taken it home and realised its not charging or connecting to the computer or iTunes! I was wondering if this is something to do with the charging port?

View 2 Replies View RelatedEvery time I connect the XPRT to my computer, it performs a long drawn out process. One the phone it reads:
1. Connecting usb or mass storage
2. Preparing SD card
3. SD card safe to remove
Steps 2. and 3. are continually cycled back and forth for at least 10 minutes. During this period I cannot access any of the data on the phone via the computer. Once the cycling is complete and the notifications menu reads "SD card safe to remove," it functions normally. The entire time I have the USB connection set as "USB Mass Storage." Other than that I do not have any problems transferring data to and from the phone, however, it is frustrating that it takes so long for it to connect.

Everytime I connect my Droid3 to the computer my Droid Pulls pictures and music FROM my PC and puts it on the phone. Sometimes it will pull All of my pictures, and sometimes it randomly selects 2 or 3 HUNDRED of them. I recently decided to add some music to my phone and as I was creating my "playlist" to sync to my droid, I noticed that something was happening. Before I even hit sync, my phone pulled ALL of the music off my computer and stored it on my phone.
I have tried to delete the pictures by going into the file on the computer and I get half way through when it locks up. I have to delete EACH picture.
I have gone to the Verizon Store, they have never heard of this happening. They did a reset, which thrilled me because I lost all of my ringtones and downloaded apps. It also erased all the personalized ringtones I had set.
Is anyone else having a problem connecting the phone to the desk dock via USB cable to the computer? When I connect a USB cable directly to the phone from the computer, the phone is charging and the computer recognizes that the phone has been connected and mounts the phone as a drive. If I connect that same USB cable to the desktop dock, then drop the phone in the dock, the phone detects that it's in the dock, but it doesn't charge, and the computer doesn't recognize that anything has been connected. If I plug a wall charger into the desktop dock, then drop the phone in the dock, the phone charges with no problem.this bundle also came with a little desktop charging station, which has just a small slot for the spare battery (also part of this bundle), and two USB ports (one male and one female). If I plug that same USB cable into the small charging station (female USB port) and drop the spare battery in, it starts charging. If at the same time, I plug the male USB port of the charging station into the phone's USB port, the computer recognizes the phone has been attached and also the phone starts charging too.
