I am trying to access my memos from my computer so that I can save them to the computer and back them up. When I plug my BB into my computer though all I see is the contents of the memory card and there are no memos on there. I guess the memos must be stored into the hard memory of the BB, but I cannot figure out how to access it.
I have a Blackberry Curve 8530 which I was working fine with 250 contacts and 20 memos. I just updated my software to 5.0 1596 and when I was synching my blackberry with my computer I got the following message " The following changes from address book microsoft outlook will be applied t your device data in address book - 233 additions". When I click accept the sync stops and I got an error message - 0x80040fb3 and I only have 4 contacts and no memos.
I have fairly large voice memos that I can NOT email, so I am wondering how I can copy the voice memos from my iphone to my computer. I have tried connecting my iphone directly to my iMac but can't figure out how to copy the file over.
i lost my blackberry, but i specifically remember checking the box that says to sync to my gmail. since i did that, how do i access the contacts now that its gone?
Is there anyway I can retrieve my contacts and memos if I dont have my blackberry? I want to put them in a temporary phone till I get another blackberry.
My Blackberry Curve has developed a frustrating problem. A couple of weeks ago, the screen started fading out to white and wouldn't go back to normal operating screenThe only way to get it back was to connect it to my Mac and restart via BlackBerry desktop. All fine, but it has continued to do this on a daily basis. If I am on a call, the tell tale sign is a loud crackle, then bang - have lost all connection and the white screen of death is back. Taking out the battery and restarting doesn't fix it.I backed up my files last month and when I'd restart it, everything was restored. Until this week, that is. I can't restore my memos from the backup file and three games have also disappeared (not that they matter ... much!).
When I go into the back file, the memos is in grey (where you should be able to tick the box), with a note at the bottom that says: "Dimmed entries are read-only data bases and cannot be restored."I know there must be a way to get then back, but I'm at my wit's end. I've got some important notes on them and want them back before I replace my Curve.
I have memos on old blackberry curve 8320 that i need to transfer to my new blackberry curve 8320. i used the switch device option in the blackberry desktop software and it copied every thing except the memos. now there isn't even a memo pad icon on my new blackberry. I tried to re-sync the new blackberry from one of my old back ups but memos are dimmed out as read only files that cannot be restored.
Last night I updated from 4.5.0175 to 4.5.0186 and all my memos were deleted. Is there any way to recover them? I am desperate! Also - is there any way to prevent this from happening again?
The memos on my curve have suddenly all disappeared. I have a back-up, however the database is greyed out when I try to restore it and it will not restore.
I'm having a bit of trouble deciding between the Nexus One and the Blackberry 9700. I've heard some problems with the Nexus One and the Blackberry 9700 seems to work perfectly fine, no problems at all. My phone will be used mostly for web browsing, sms and mms, and email (gmail). Which phone do you think is best for me? Anyone own both, care to share? Also either phone will be replacing my computer, since mine broke. If there are already posts about this, I'm sorry just trying to get some help quickly because I don't have access to a computer for to long so I have to make up my mind quickly
Used a friend's laptop to access some data in my phone (a voice memo) and send an audio file to someone. Can the friend now access my data from her laptop without being connected to my phone with a USB?
When I connect to Windows 7 pc via USB--one out of 5 times will I be able to access the sd card data of the computer. And when i unplug it--all of my custom notifications (songs for ringtones and such) go back to stock
If I am logged into my computer user account, Zumocast works fine on my Bionic. When I am logged off, and even if someone else is logged in to my computer, the smartphone states that my computer is offline. Is this how Zumocast was designed? Or, is there something wrong with my setup? I can see Zumocast not getting access if the computer is sleeping. But, I don't want to have to stay logged in when I'm away.
I've tried connecting my i-phone 4 to my Gateway laptop many times. Each time it connects to my computer the way it should... but then I get a little yellow triangle with an exclamation in it that reads "No Internet Access". BUT.... it is 100% connected to my phone. It says I have all 5 bars of single strength but has no internet connection. Even my phone says that there is one person connected to the personal hotspot.
I've tried using the cord and connecting it mannually, as well as using the "Bluetooth Wi-Fi" option and it's the same deal with both of them.
Yes I have a 3G network. Yes my phone is up to date. Yes I can get internet on my phone using the 3G network. Yes I've gone through step by step to connecting it and no... it still doesn't work.
I was using the Memo app today, following a recipe I had saved there. Abruptly, everything I had in the app disappeared, including the recipe I was using.I've tried everything I can think of to recover those files, but nothing has worked so far.I had a LOT of important information in there! Passwords, reminders, lists.
As the title states, I noticed yesterday that new/updated contacts and memos are not syncing back and forth between my hosted Exchange server and my BlackBerry. I confirmed that they're syncing fine between PC's through the Exchange server, but nothing is being pushed or pulled from my BlackBerry.
I called my host last night, and they got me to go in and update some settings. Under the DNS Manager they got me to 'Restore Defaults' on MX (Mail Exchanger). The two that I circled in the picture below were missing until I did the restore.
So that was last night, and the syncing is still not happening between my BlackBerry and the server. I also confirmed (funny how tech support never asked me this) that wireless reconciliation is enabled for both contacts and memos. When I did the restore it did say that it could take an hour to take effect, and sometimes up to 48 hours. Maybe I just need to wait? It's been about 14 hours now.
Oh and side note, my howardforums subscription email notifications conveniently stopped as soon as I did this. I very much doubt that it's related, as all other email is being received fine.
I got some REALLY important voice memos im trying to get on my pc. I heard the best way was to sync it and include voice memos so it gets uploaded, but when I plug in my iphone it says "The iphone was synced with another Itunes library. Do you want to erase this iphone and sunc with this Itunes library" then it says erasing and suncing will replace the contents of the iphone with the contents of the itunes library. Now I REALLY need to get those voice memos on my PC, but I don't wanna risk losing them?
I have been recording an audio journal and now I want to get these off of my iphone to transcribe, When I synce where do my voice memos go? and where can I save them and in what format?
I was given a BB Curve 8310 to attempt a repair. When I attach the USB cable to the BB the system tray does not pop up with a notification that says "found new hardware" like it normally does when you plug a BB in. When the phone boots up it displays error msg " JVM Error 513". I attempted to looking into the device by using "cracmem" and "JL_Cmder" and no data is to be found and thus there is nothing to wipe. I suspect that the device has already been wiped thus the no data. I have pulled the battery from the phone and reinstalled; unplugged the usb cable during the BB boot process and nothing is happening. The DM application loader will not allow me to procede due to computer not recognizing the BB device thus it is not generating the "USB:UNKNOWN".
I did a wireless OS update recently and now my memo pad and tasks icons are gone. (I don't know for sure if the update wiped them out, but that's my only guess.)I really need to get them back.I've done some searching and what others have tried isn't working for me. They aren't just hidden, they aren't showing on the 9700 as installed apps, and they don't show up in the application loader in desktop manager on my computer. I'm not sure what else to do.Is there a way to do an OTA install?
