Nov 6, 2012I have tried using my USB wire to connect my Blackberry Curve 9320 to the computer. It has worked i the past but now it just charges the phone. I want to put a song on my phone.

Jul 29, 2014My girlfriend and I went on a big trip around Europe recently, and she has a Lumia 1020 (I have a Lumia Icon). Over the last few months, she has not been able to back up her data, apps, photos, etc. properly. It has been hit or miss.
Now, she wants to connect her phone to her computer to import the photos and videos to her computer. However, connecting her phone does nothing other than charge it. No prompt comes up, no device is recognized, not even in device manager. Nothing happens at all. It only charges.
Microsoft suggested a hard reset of the whole phone. But that would mean losing all of the data she has, including the very important photos from our trip. They suggested to back up to the cloud, but OneDrive backups have been unreliable, as only some of her photos actually get backed up, and when she tries to create a new backup of settings+apps, it gets to 100% and then says there was a problem and fails.

recently my phone has not been connecting to my laptop. It connects to other computers using the same cable but it just doesnt seem to work on any usb port on my laptop.When i do plug my phone to my laptop, the laptop simply acts as a outlet and carges it.
There are no prompts whatsoever on my phone, laptop or on desktop manager when its plugged in.
I have rebooted my phone, restarted my laptop, gave "microsoft fix-it" a shot at fixing tis problem, but nothing works.

I've tried re-installing desktop manager several times and i've changed the options in the 'memory' menu but nothing works. I know there is some connection between my phone and my computer because it charges, but no message pops up (I've read somewhere that a message should pop up about mass storage).

After it rebooted. I add more applications without setting the language in my handheld first. And this is where the problem begin. The screen is just stuck with the page to choose language to be used in handheld and cannot be navigated at all. I also cannot connect it to my computer. I tried battery pulled and let the battery run out then pull and recharge again. It always come up with the same screen.

Yesterday, my daughter bought a new battery, did not solve my problemI've searched this site as intensely as I can over the course of 2 1/2 days.I am retired on disability pension. When I can't get to my laptop, my BlackBerry is my only connection to help if I need it.Day before yesterday, I was on the browser when the phone froze. I did a soft reboot, the screen went black, and the phone has not come back on since. The light in the upper right corner blinks red once, pauses, blinks 3 times in a row, then pauses for a few more seconds before repeating the sequence.The phone will not show "connected" to either BlackBerry Desktop Manager nor to my laptop. I've been through a couple of "troubleshooting" flow charts but they all require that my phone "connect" to continue with the flow chart instruction but the phone will not "connect".

Jul 2, 2010My phone won't register when I hook it up to the USB port on my laptop. I haven't had any issues before, and the last thing that happened to my phone was that I updated the OS to the latest version (5.0.0.681). I did this on Monday and tried to hook my phone to my computer yesterday (first time since update). It wasn't recognized and I messed around with it for a while. I eventually did something that got it to work, but I disconnected it and since then, I haven't been able to re-hook it up. Jan 25, 2010One step forward 2 steps back! I had a problem with my e-mails I stopped receiving messages on Friday and since talking to the service centre I now have 2 icons on my main screen. The new one has a globe at the bottom and my email address at the top when I scroll over it. All very nice but totally unnecessary.
Since this icon has appeared all my emails on my main computer are being marked as read. They were not before Friday Any ideas??

Jun 17, 2012I was using my blackberry to connect to the internet. It worked. I could browse, I could tweet and reply to them and use the BBM service. When I woke up this morning to check updates, I could not connect to the internet service anymore. There's always a prompt: Failed to connect to service (I forgot what was in between). So I called the service provider and told me to refresh my blackberry by turning it off and on. I did that several times already and it's not working. I already tried another method which was remove the sim and battery for at least 30 seconds and then put it back on.
