Jul 29, 2014My girlfriend and I went on a big trip around Europe recently, and she has a Lumia 1020 (I have a Lumia Icon). Over the last few months, she has not been able to back up her data, apps, photos, etc. properly. It has been hit or miss.
Now, she wants to connect her phone to her computer to import the photos and videos to her computer. However, connecting her phone does nothing other than charge it. No prompt comes up, no device is recognized, not even in device manager. Nothing happens at all. It only charges.
Microsoft suggested a hard reset of the whole phone. But that would mean losing all of the data she has, including the very important photos from our trip. They suggested to back up to the cloud, but OneDrive backups have been unreliable, as only some of her photos actually get backed up, and when she tries to create a new backup of settings+apps, it gets to 100% and then says there was a problem and fails.

Jan 12, 2012I have two usbs in my car. One directly to my audio system and other is a cigarette lighter to usb (2.1amp). Both won't charge my BB9900 but it charged my BB9360 curve and my friends BB8300..
On the usb connected to the radio i get a pop up saying this usb doesn't have enough power to charge, on the inverter (Cigarette lighter to usb) nothing happens as if the USB isn't connected to anything.

Oct 17, 2012Well I have a 9900 Bold. Suddenly without updating anything i plugged it in my computer to charge it and as soon as i connect the connector the phone shuts down with the red light flashing. I reopen the phone to charge it into the wall... Same thing as soon as the connecter enters, phone crash. So I have no way to charge it. I thought it was a battery default so I bought a new battery. Same thing happen, In anything i try to connect the phone it crashes. I wanted to reset the OS but how can i do it if i cant plug the phone.

Sep 5, 2012I'm currently abroad and all my phones services have been working completely fine on wifi however yesterday i left the data services on but switched off the whilst roaming option. I also tried to insert a new sim where it brought up the blackberry ID login, i couldn't log in as this phone no longer recognises my password even though its correct (whole diff issue,i know a security wipe etc is needed in order to solve this) so i switched the phone off and put in my old sim.even with the roaming switched off my whatsapp and internet work, i even switched it back on to see if it would make a difference but no matter what i do it seems as if i cant connect to BIS and the blackberry logo that appears on the top right of the screen wont come back. I've also tried connecting to the local phone networks here and the bb symbol still hasnt shown.

May 18, 2012I have a factory unlocked Vodafone 9900 from the UK (Carphonewarehouse). I've moved to Canada and inserted a Koodo, Bell, and Rogers SIM and the phone could not pull in a 3G signal at all.
It can pull in a Rogers/Fido 2G signal easily, but for some reason 3G won't work.
When I do a manual search for a network, it detects a Rogers 2G network, and for some odd reason a WIND and Mobilicity network.
Now I got this phone in the UK, and according to Vodafone's website it uses the following bands: HSDPA 850/900/1900/2100 why in Canada I can't pull in a 3G signal using 1900/850?

But with "emailconnect" I get just 30MB per month! May be enough to push the emails, but not to surf or use some apps.
Is there any possibility, to use my "mobileconnect-option" (connecting by APN web.vodafone.de) instead of the emailconnect-option?

I have tried to delete and readd it, it was there before but then I had to take my phone in to get fixed because it kept rebooting everytime I put it on a hard surface. Last night I used my USB cable to charge my phone through my laptop, which worked fine. Tonight I have gone to do the same and my computer couldn't recognise my device.I've tried re-installing itunes, deleting USB ports, restarting my phone and computer, updated my computer.
