I'm trying to connect my phone to my computer for the first time, and I'm not having any luck. I've tried my computer and my boyfriend's computer, and it doesn't work on either. When I plug it in to the USB, it charges, so I don't think it's a problem with the cord. The troubleshooting portion of the BlackBerry desktop manager isn't much help, as I don't know how to do?
I have my backup files. But my computer does not recognize my device due hardware problems. Is there any way to upload my backup files without using desktop manager? I should have use blackberry protect in hindsight.
I have a new laptop with Windows 7. Whenever I plug in my BB to the computer, the BB desktop software starts up & says " connect your blackberry device". When I troubleshoot, nothing has helped. I have tried downloading drivers & reloading the software.
I was given a BB Curve 8310 to attempt a repair. When I attach the USB cable to the BB the system tray does not pop up with a notification that says "found new hardware" like it normally does when you plug a BB in. When the phone boots up it displays error msg " JVM Error 513". I attempted to looking into the device by using "cracmem" and "JL_Cmder" and no data is to be found and thus there is nothing to wipe. I suspect that the device has already been wiped thus the no data. I have pulled the battery from the phone and reinstalled; unplugged the usb cable during the BB boot process and nothing is happening. The DM application loader will not allow me to procede due to computer not recognizing the BB device thus it is not generating the "USB:UNKNOWN".
My computer wont recognize my blackberry, i have tried installing to software again, battery pulls, all the driver stuff. i dont know what else to try to get this to work.
I got my iPhone 4s back in October, and it worked just fine when syncing with iTunes and all that. Recently however, like in the last 3 weeks or so, whenever I try to plug it into the computer, my computer won't recognize it. It dings like I've inserted a USB, but it doesn't show up in "My Computer" or iTunes, and does not charge. I have tried two different cords. I tried plugging it in on my dad's Macbook, and it was recognized immediately, so I don't think it is the phone. I followed all the steps listed on the Apple technical website, and nothing has worked. I've restarted my phone, reset my phone, updated iTunes and restarted my computer, but to no avail. I have a Lenovo Thinkpad W510 and am running Windows 7. It charges just fine when plugged into the wall using the same cord. Other USB's work fine when plugged into the computer.
Whenever I try to plug my iPhone into my windows laptop to charge or sync music to or whatever, it just doesnt appear to recignise it at all. It doesn't appear in the Devices tab of iTunes, and doesn't appear in Devices with Removable Storage under My Computer.
I just plugged my brothers phone into my laptop and it recognised it perfectly! It appeared in both My Computer and iTunes...
when I plug my iPhone into my computer it doesn't recognize it, ive tried using different cables, differnt computers, updating my phone software, updating iTunes and none of it works, also when i want to charge my phone I have to turn it of, connect the wall charger to it, and turn it back on in order for it to start charging.
Why I first bought my Verizon 8gig iPhone 4, I plugged it into my laptop and began following all the steps to link it to my itunes( upgraded from black 8gig i4 to this white one) it was working fine, and my laptop died halfway through the process. Ever since my laptop never even made the noise when I plugged it in. It wasn't a huge issue, as I only used my phone for pictures, texting, and calls, and facebook, but now my memory is full and I need to get files off it. I borrowed my girl's laptop and i found out that it doesn't get recognition from ANY computer.
I went through the provided troubleshooting on the support site and everything seemed normal. But I then realized that the apple mobile USB driver is not showing up in the device manager.
When I connect my phone to the computer (macbook, using OSX 10.6.2), the phone does not recognize being connected to the computer, and the computer does not show the phone as a connected disk drive like it is supposed to.
I have a Windows Xp service pack 3 and I already install Desktop Manager6.1, the problem is that the computer does not recognize any blackberry device, I tried with three diferents blackberry and no one works. Windows try to install it and later solicites a driver for the device, I alredy see in other computer what drivers the blackberry needs to works and copy them to my Windos Xp but still does not work, is there a driver or something for that windows recognize the blackberry?
I recently updated to iTunes 10.6 and now iTunes and computer will not recognize iPhone. Tried going to a different computer (with 10.6) and it will not be recognized on it either. It will charge.Tried hard reset on phone. Tried un-installing and re-installing iTunes. Went to Device Manager...cannot find anything for Apple.
I plug my phone in and a message comes up saying "This Iphone can not be used because the Apple Mobile Device service is not started". i have had this happen before but cant remember how to reset my computer so it reconizes my phone.
I plugged my Iphone4 into the USB and it will not connect to my charger or computer. Therefore it won't charge. I turned my phone off and it is showing that it needs to be charged but is not recognized by my computer and won't charge via wall charger. Yes, I have tried different cables and still no luck.
My computer running on windows does not recognize my phone as anything other than a camera, so i cant sync, update etc. The computer still recognizes my husbands phone.
My iphone wont work on my new Gateway desktop computer. It wont even charge. Ipad works fine. My iphone works on my laptop but I have Carbonite on my desktop.
I just bought an Iphone 4s and as my mac is pretty old (10.4.11), it doesn't seem to want to connect to Itunes version 9.2.1 (4)). My computer won't support a newer version of Itunes. So it seems my computer is too out of date to support my phone. I'm a little lost at what to do next. I tried all of the troubleshooting as well as the post-troubleshooting options I found and nothing works. Any way around all of this without buying a new computer or completely revamping my current one?
i updated my SGS 2 in software update for the first time a few days ago (never done that since i got it in end of may). It looked like it worked at first, it rebooted it self after a successful update. But when i was about to reboot it my self after a few hours it went hi-wire. I couldn't boot it and the screen was switching between the loading battery (but i wasn't charging it) and a empty battery with a warning sign between it every 3 sec. But after a while i got it working by repeatedly press the start button and putting the charge cable in it.so when i was now going to update it for the new 2.3.4 through Kies i tried for the first time to connect my phone with the usb-cable, but I'll never got the computer to recognize my phone. It won't show up with USB mass storage enable/disable, USB debugging unchecked/checked. I have tried reinstalling Kies and the Samsung USB driver, cleaning with CCleaner, cleaning the regedit for samsung files, but without luck.
