I have a new laptop with Windows 7. Whenever I plug in my BB to the computer, the BB desktop software starts up & says " connect your blackberry device". When I troubleshoot, nothing has helped. I have tried downloading drivers & reloading the software.

I've connected my phone before, but this is the first time that's it's happened. I'm pretty sure the fault lies with my computer, because my phone charges when I plug it in. I've tried plugging into every usb port that my computer has, and it doesn't make a difference. Usually, when I plug my phone in, it notifies me that it's connected to something, and it asks if I want to "mount" a connnection with it or not, it's not doing this anymore, and neither is my computer notifying me that something is plugged into it.

When I search under Device manager there is absolutely nothing there. I was attempting to restore my phone yesterday and couldn't do it on my phone alone nor when plugged into my computer so I restored it to a back up on another computer. When I attach the USB cable to the BB the system tray does not pop up with a notification that says "found new hardware" like it normally does when you plug a BB in. When the phone boots up it displays error msg " JVM Error 513". I attempted to looking into the device by using "cracmem" and "JL_Cmder" and no data is to be found and thus there is nothing to wipe. I suspect that the device has already been wiped thus the no data. I have pulled the battery from the phone and reinstalled; unplugged the usb cable during the BB boot process and nothing is happening. The DM application loader will not allow me to procede due to computer not recognizing the BB device thus it is not generating the "USB:UNKNOWN".

i set a password to unlock my bb device. Three days ago a friend took the bb and tried to discover the password, he tried 8 times. After i tried to unlock the device inserting the right password but it dosen't recognize it. Now i'm so worried about lost all my data, casue i haven't done recently a backup. I hope someone would help me cause i have a lot of data in it and i cannot loose them. The one who tried to unlock the device said that after the 5th attempt he was asked to write blackberry, and now in place of asteriks there appears like normal characters.

I am using the BB Curve 9360 and I stumble upon a serious problem. After doing a regular battery pull, my device doesn't recognize the battery anymore. It shows the battery with red X huge centre of screen each time I put it back in. Now I can't use my device anymore and I just used it for 1 year. I updated to OS 7.1 bundle 1647 last week and then this problem shows up. I'm stuck.

I got my iPhone 4s back in October, and it worked just fine when syncing with iTunes and all that. Recently however, like in the last 3 weeks or so, whenever I try to plug it into the computer, my computer won't recognize it. It dings like I've inserted a USB, but it doesn't show up in "My Computer" or iTunes, and does not charge. I have tried two different cords. I tried plugging it in on my dad's Macbook, and it was recognized immediately, so I don't think it is the phone. I followed all the steps listed on the Apple technical website, and nothing has worked. I've restarted my phone, reset my phone, updated iTunes and restarted my computer, but to no avail. I have a Lenovo Thinkpad W510 and am running Windows 7. It charges just fine when plugged into the wall using the same cord. Other USB's work fine when plugged into the computer.

Whenever I try to plug my iPhone into my windows laptop to charge or sync music to or whatever, it just doesnt appear to recignise it at all. It doesn't appear in the Devices tab of iTunes, and doesn't appear in Devices with Removable Storage under My Computer.
I just plugged my brothers phone into my laptop and it recognised it perfectly! It appeared in both My Computer and iTunes...
