I downloaded Desktop Software today (system 6.0) which went ok, although it doesn't connect to my curve (a separate issue!!) but from the same time I haven't been able to send any text messages, instead of a 'tick' by the sent message there is a little red symbol a sort of (three o clock on a clockface symbol).what this symbol means and is it connected to the software download?
My daughter has a Curve 9300 and when she sends texts messages, they are not all being received. Sometimes they don't arrive until she has switched off her phone and switched it on again. Can anyone help me with this problem please?
I have installed Blackberry Desktop Software 6.0 for blackberry curve 9300.I wish to install Japanese language pack to view Japanese character on my cellphone.Language is not available in the application list. How can I import this new language?
My Blackberry Curve 9300 regularly reverts to a screen saying 'connecting to desktop'. The phone then 'freezes' on that screen and I cannot do anything and the only solution is to open the back, remove and replace the battery and wait for the phone to reboot. This seems to do the trick but it's happening quite frequently which is a major nuisance, particularly since the reboot process takes such an age. Is there anything I can do to stop this happening?
I recently installed my desktop software for Blackberry curve 9300 and haven't been able to use it as I do not know the password? I have tried all my usuals and it didn't work. I have also tried the password I use to unlock my phone but this didn't work either. Does anyone know how I retrieve or reset the password?
I have a Blackberry 9300 Curve. When I sync my BB using desktop manager the time zone re-sets itself from GMT Dublin London time to Eniwetok-12 gmt ( I don't even know were Eniwetok is) . Here's some of the settings and systems information. On the Blackberry under Date and Time the update time is set to automatic, time zone- 12 hour-auto update. On the Desktop Software I have all the default settings to standard 2 way sync default with Microsoft Outlook 2007. The time zone on my computer is GMT London Dublin. I am running on Windows 7 - 64 bit.
I was trying to update OS of BlackBerry 9300 Curve 3G via BlackBerry Desktop Manager or even via the BlackBerry website using the 'Check for Update' option.Every time, I encounter this error : 'An error occurred while downloading software for your device. Please verify your internet settings or try again later if the problem persists'.
I am trying to sync my BB with my desktop software. I was advised the only way i could get music on my BB was to take the memory card out the phone use an adapter to put music on then put the memory card back in BB.
Surely when i connect my BB to my laptop with the desktop software on it, i should be able to see the music and pictures that are on my phone, or should i not??
I have gone into the options menu on the screen and had a look at my memory, and it is telling me "Media Card cannot be read. Verify that the memory card is properly inserted, formatted and not corrupted".
I have also made sure that Mass Storage support is on, along with Media Card Support, but i still cant see anything.
After recently updating the Desktop Manager to 5.0.1, the Redirector no longer operates. When opening it, i get the error message."Desktop Redirector has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry..." I've unistalled Destop Manager, reverted back to 5.0.0 and I still have the same issue. This was and is currently setup with my Outlook 2003 (SP3) exchange server to forward my work emails, and it worked up until I updated to 5.0.1 last week.
A client of ours had upgraded his version of Desktop manager to 6 from 5.something.There is no more link for the Redirector under START - PROGRAMS - BLACKBERRY..The icon for the redirector still shows up in his start menu, however, it says that it's not started.Where can I find the software with the new desktop manager? I've tried reinstalling the desktop manager already but still cannot find it, nor were there any options during the installation to include it.
I am experiencing very frustrating battery issues on my BB Curve 9300. I bought the device a month ago and had a brand new battery installed in no later than yesterday.Battery life is about 3 to 5 hours at the very best, whilst I am not using any specific 3rd party application. In addition, the "clock" apprears on a very frequent basis, slowing the system dramatically.I do not have any files saved on the media card ... Wi-fi has been disabled already as have Bluetooth. LAt, connection the mobile network is fine so I do not believe it has to do with the device desperately seeking connection.PS: I am based in France with SFR being my provider.
Has anybody else noticed that the Razr Maxx wont separate the texts into multiple texts if you go over 160? I didnt notice it until I did it the other night, and got a sending error. I could have sworn in the past there was an option for this.
My iPhone won't let me send texts to someone who used to have an iPhone but doesn't anymore. I can receive texts from them but can't send them texts. Says its an invalid number.
After installing Desktop Manager, it says 'to begin plug in Blackberry via USB'. I have done this in every possible way... but the computer doesnt recognise it at all...
I haqve just moved to Tenerife and got a movistar sim. I can receive calls and texts but cant send texts. I have tried to resend the service books but it wont allow me saying "your device had a problem connecting to the server". When i try send a text it says "requested facility not implented". What do I do?
my phone has stopped receiving text messages until hours later. If im in the messaging app, i tap on a new text ill reply and it wont show that i replied. I then wont receive messages until hours later when I guess it finally has sent? Also, in my messaging its showing messages from years ago. I dont want my texts to save or to be backed up or restored.
I finally joined the BB community and I am really enjoying my 9300 Curve.Recently I saw that a friend of mine had the OS 6 system on and I have been trying to upgrade my OS 5 to 6. However,Things I have tried so far: I have used the desktop software's upgrade function to upgrade but every time I get the message that, there is no upgrade available. I also downloaded my carrier (MTN - South Africa) specific software the "9300M_PBr6.0.0_rel1879_PL6.6.0.124_A6.0.0.448" file and installed it onto my computer. I then connected my BB and tried to upgrade but was still unsuccessful.
When 160 characters are reached can the BB go on to a second message? With some SMS programs I can continue typing, but each message isa only 160 characters. The receipitent with get a message saying 1/4 or something like that.
Today my Blackberry Curve 8310 deleted all of my received text messages. It also did this (deleted the all of the received messages) about 2 days ago. I don't know why or what keeps happening. I will go to look at a text message and they will all be gone. Only the incoming texts are deleted, the outgoing/sent ones always remain and so do emails. I have lost a ton of important, irreplaceable texts (including those which had pictures attached). This keeps occurring for no apparent reason. When this happens I hadn't turned my phone off or taken the battery out.
I have my setting as follows under Inbox: Options; General Options: Keep Message Forever.
My texts are deleting themselves after about a month of having them and I can't get them back and its doing my head in. It was fine for about a year, and now its soooo
I accidentally deleted an app which i think controls the email and texts and now I can't get either, I've tried resetting with no luck. The phone doesn't allow me to go back to factory settings
This is kind of confusing but I am not receiving texts. I know they are being sent because I have color lite id configured and the light changes as if I received a text, but nothing.I have confirmed with the senders and they did text, from both sprint and verizon. I can also call ,receive email and have internet access.I can also send texts and they are received. I called sprint/blackberry and they provisioned the phone again but still nada. I have had this phone about 6 months with no problems , no new operating systems and I did a battery pull along with searching for answers and still nothing.
