BB Curve :: 9300 Sends Texts Messages Not Receive?
Jun 19, 2012
My daughter has a Curve 9300 and when she sends texts messages, they are not all being received. Sometimes they don't arrive until she has switched off her phone and switched it on again. Can anyone help me with this problem please?
today my phone would not send, recieve texts, or bbm messages.Took the battery out while it was on, and restarted it, it then sent texts for about 10 minutes and then did exactly the same.i also keep getting a white screen randomly, and the loading bar in the middle of the screen?
Up until a couple of weeks ago it worked fine. now it will only send regular text messages. I have a good wifi and/or 3G connection, the receiver has an iphone, switched it on-off in the settings and I triend to reset my apple ID.
My old phone was able to send and receive, along with all my other old phones, but I don't know why I cant send or receive any. It will only let me send as a email or through bluetooth. How can I fix it so I can send it through a text? I got the blackberry curve 9300.
All of the attempts I make to send a message as an iMessage fail - they all send as texts.I have iMessage turned on in the settings, have "send as sms" off, but all messages sent to iphone users still send as texts.
So my Bold 9780 has been acting very weird lately. And for some reason I think it has somethign to do with BB Protect. It wanted to do an update while I was in a wifi zone and then thigns started going wrong from that day.So what happens is i'll be scanning thru the icons and they'll just open without me clicking on them. Also, when texting or using bbm, my msg will send without me clicking send. So I will be half done a msg and it'll send. Finally, I've tried to battery out, restore, and all those classic quick fix optoins and they haven't worked.
I downloaded Desktop Software today (system 6.0) which went ok, although it doesn't connect to my curve (a separate issue!!) but from the same time I haven't been able to send any text messages, instead of a 'tick' by the sent message there is a little red symbol a sort of (three o clock on a clockface symbol).what this symbol means and is it connected to the software download?
my blackberry curve is currently receiving sms text messages, but they only show up as an icon at the top of the main menu, i can't actually see them or even open them. i do not have this problem with mms or email. i also can't see texts when i go to the specific 'sms' inbox. i know i'm receiving them because friends have asked why i haven't responded. but it's like they're lost to some black hole in my phone.
things i've tried:i've tried rebooting the phone, at which point i've gotten the "uncaught exception: java.lang.ClassCastException" error. also, my phone is saying "attempting to open a secure server connection but the server's certificate is not trusted." sometimes i can just click close connection and get through to the phone but other times i can't.
i've tried rebooting the phone (taking the battery out), changing my themes settings to default (and using a default blackberry theme) and deleting all messages from my phone. nothing seems to be working -- what can I do to read text messages again?
I bought my Blackberry Curve 9360 brand new from a Vodafone shop about a month and a half ago and today when I woke up it wouldn't let me make/recieve calls or texts. i've rebooted it, taken the battery out and checked the mobile network connection and that i haven't blocked calls or put call fowarding on. Also in the top right hand corner the signal says full and 3G.
I keep getting the above message whenever I get a picture text. When I hit download now, a small screen comes up saying retrieving content. Then nothing happens... I am new to the BlackBerry and I am just not sure.
I just bought my BB curve of a friend just b4 xmas, it was working fine brand new not even opened but after a couple of days it just stopped letting me send and receive txt messages and calls it just keeps saying call failed ? I've trIed rebooting it, wiped it and went though even option but no joy, I can still use the internet an get emails ok everything else on it works fine.
blackberry has stopped letting me make calls or send texts and i cant receive them to, I have full signal and have spoken to o2 they tell me it a phone problem and the shop tells me it a o2 problem,,In the service status it saysmobile voice status: not availableConnection: not connectedBut everything else is working fine i can still get email ect
I bought a new blacberry curve 9300 on Sunday (April 1st,2012) and very next day below problem appeared :-
"Whenever anyone calls me I see the phone is ringing but I am not able to answer/receive a calls by pressing any Key. to solve the issue I tried to remove the battery and inserted it again and phone reboots, but for a few hours problem goes away but after few hours again I see the same problem and have to remove the battery again n again which is irritating me now"
Is there any way to configure your blackberry so that it sends a missed all notice/phone number or sends the voice mail message if the caller leaves one to outlook.
I'm getting ready to go on vacation for two weeks and would like to be able to send friends and family some pictures by text. None of them have Blackberry's....just regular cell phones or i phones. Will they be able to get my text pictures from my Blackberry using the MMS text feature? I may be crazy but I could swear when I first got my BB a year or two ago, I was able to send text pictures my SMS texts......No?
Was looking for a bit for advice please as I have come to a standstill with my Curve 8520.It was working fine for the past week there and in the last two days I have been unable to make or receive calls or texts. My SIM works in other phones, just not my Blackberry.
I recently went abroad and was unable to make calls or receive texts, although I was able to use BB messenger, Facebook and twitter. I contacted my carrier (vodafone) who told me my sim card was out of date and I need a new one. When I returned home I had a new sim card waiting for me, when I put this in my phone and activated it all was fine for about twho hours, then I lost all the email settings. I did not think this would be a big deal and set about setting them up again.
I finally managed to set up my hotmail (I need to use the vodafone BIS website), but no matter what I do I can not set up the other two emails. I have contacted vodafone who say this is my problem and i must have wrong password or settings (despite the fact these worked fine).
My question is, can I restore the email settings from a backup?
My iPhone won't let me send texts to someone who used to have an iPhone but doesn't anymore. I can receive texts from them but can't send them texts. Says its an invalid number.
After doing the 313 update my bb is now working fine with receiving text messages on time..now the problem i have is..my bb is not receiving mms picture texts.
I bought two new blackberry 8520 from ebay from different sellers. One unbranded and unlocked, the other branded and locked to Vodaphone. The unlocked one works fine with my tesco sim, no problems. The branded/locked to Vodaphone one was unlocked this morning with a code I paid for and got off the internet and not through Vodaphone. It now shows the phone is disabled and it recognises the Tesco sim (although still branded), but all calls and messages fail when sent and if I try to ring it it goes straight to voicemail.
Is it the phone or the sim? The phone was an unwanted gift so the seller is not sure if the phone's pin was registered. Tesco have asked vodaphone to release the pin which will happen in the next 24-48 hours but will this make any difference? Some of the forums with the same query as mine seem conflicting, i.e. release the pin to get access to BBM and internet but not a direct problem with calling and texting.
Exactly as the heading suggests - I cannot make or receive calls or texts, and it has been like this for over a day now. And yes, I do have signal. Everything else is fine, and it isn't a problem with the service provider.
