I cannot get the new software to reconize my media files installed on the internal memory. In the drop down menu it says MEDIA OPTIONS ARE NOT AVAILABLE. I do not use a media card at this time. I did not have this problem with the former version of the desktop software.

I'm running v5.0.1 of the DM.Memory/Storage card options are all set to on. When I click Media Sync, the BB momentarily flicks then reverts back to the previous display. Media Sync, animates with the left and right arrows, then eventually times out with the 'did not recognize device' message.The device does not appear in Windows 7 Explorer.
View 3 Replies View RelatedSo I installed the new OS for the 9700 (5.0.0.862 - Vodafone) and my desktop manager isn't letting me add new media files or anything like that. It keeps telling me that I have to turn on Mass Storage Mode for this to work. I have desktop manager 6.
My phone is an unlocked AT&T Bold 9700 and my service provider is Fido (Canada).How do I fix this guys? I'm relatively new to this whole blackberry stuff.
And then play either certain albums or just random shuffle play all.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a 9105 and recently downloaded Desktop Manager 6 onto my PC running XL. When running the older DM I was able to use the programme a few times then it stopped recognizing that my phone was connected. I have not managed to connect since upgrading. I have spent many hours in this and other forums trying every reasonable idea. I have removed the version 6 and loaded 5 again, removed 5 and clean installed 6. Checked all the different USB options and drivers. Changed USB cabels and connections. Removed the battery countless times but nothing will get it to connect. Windows and the device manager see the phone and I am able to remove/add files. I also upgraded my Documenyts To Go so that I can sync the docs on my desktop but this also fails to see my phone. Having read most KB's in this regard I am now not sure where to look.
View 8 Replies View RelatedSince upgrading to Version 5.0.1 neither the media manger nor blackberry media synch now work. the media manager always prompts to install and downloads but then does nothing. The blackberry media sync gets so far after launch the gives an error message. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling a number of times but cannot get the media manager to install so cannot now get any media off my phone or on to it. Any ideas anyone?
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have Storm (9500) and I've been trying for a few hours to transfer photos from my media card to my PC. Every time I connect to Media Sync with my Storm, I receive a messages saying my device is not recognised and to make sure the card is inserted correctly etc. here is what I have done and I still receive the same message -
Taken out the media card and reinserted it
Taken out the battery and reinserted it
turned all the settings in (Options Memory) to on
Auto Enable Mass Sttorage Mode when Connected is set to Yes
Tried connecting to all USB ports on the PC ( I have 4)
PC OS is Windows 7
I've checked for all possible updates on BlackBerry Software (Device and Desktop and Media Sync) I have a completely updates Storm in terms of Software.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to add some ringtones to my Torch. They are there and I can see them in the file manager or when I sync to my Mac. But when I go to the ringtones folder, they are not listed. There is an option to select music for a ringtone, so I put the mp3 file in the music folder along with other music files, but none show up.
The same thing happens when I take pictures with the phone. If I look at the pictures folder, it says no pictures. But if I go through file manager to the media card, I can see the pictures.
Under <Options> <Memory> I can see and reformat my 2GB memory card. However the Blackberry Desktop does not recognize the media card. I always get the message:"Your Media cannot be synchronized. ... Consider using a media card with your device."I have tried evry combination of <Memory> setting on the Blackberry and followed the instructions in the Blackberry help to no avail.

I have installed today the BB Desktop SW version 6.1.0.36 from BB website.It works fine with my old BB Curve 8900 palm phone, but does not recognize at all my newest BB Curve 9360 palm phone.In particular when I connect the BB device with the microUSB cable to the USB port of the PC, Windows 7 complains to have not installed properly the Device Driver of the BB palm phone.If I look at the PC Device Drivers Management I can see a BlacBerry driver version 4.2.0.14 of 23/06/2011 from research Un Motion.Windows complain that the device type is unknown, all what it says is "Reinstall the drivers for this device. (Code 18)".

On my new Windows 7 machine, I've downloaded Desktop Manager 6.0, installed it, but when I plug in my phone into the computer, the Summary page in DTM still says "Connect your BlackBerry device". I know my computer recognizes my BB, because I can see it listed as 2 drives under My Computer (BB and my removable memory card). How can I get DTM to recognize my phone?

dtm will not recognize it it used to but went through back-up ok & sync to 75% and then dtm would quit and close
uninstalled 4.7 & reinstalled 5x in 3 months no help for more than a week at a time

Only device memory and built-in-media storage are detected. I do not know why it doesn't read my media card even though it is inserted properly. I tried my media card in my pc and it works perfectly fine. I already did the security wipe method, reboot method, upgraded my OS(OS Level Method), cleaning the media card,formatting my media card and almost everything I read, I've done it but still it won't be read. I already go asked someone what could be the problem and he said my media card(where you put it) seems to be okay... He too can't identify what is wrong with it. I tried sandisk media card once but still same result assuming that BB is too picky with media card but still it cannot be read/recognized...I am too sad because i cannot enjoy my torch because i don't want to use my built-in memory storage for my entertainment....

In my case, may be, the problem is my Windows Vista is not using the Blackberry USB driver; instead, it uses a standard usb driver. I tried to update it in the Device Manager, by selecting the ones that is found in program FilesCommon FilesResearch In MotionUSB Drivers, but the process always finishes telling me the driver is up to date. The result is, Windows recognices the unit, even if I connect it as a USB unit, and if I connect it for Multimedia sincronization; but BB Desktop Manager does not see it.
I also tried downloading and installing BB USB and Modem drivers from the BB downloads, but that didnīt change anithing.I think this is the source of my problem, because most documents in the knowledge database says I have to see the BB USB driver on de Device Manager.How can I force Windows to use BB USB driver?
My expensive copy of MS Office Pro 2000 still suits my needs at home, but apparently to use Outlook 2000, you need DM 4.2.2. This is for my wife's BB. Can someone help me score some points with the Mrs. and help me find v4.2.2 or how to get v4.6 - v5.0 to recognize Outlook 2000? Thanks.

I have reloaded the software on this PC but my USB ports are working fine. I have reloaded the software 3 times. Also, using the desktop loader on the phone is indicates no option for the 9670 phone.

View 5 Replies View RelatedJust got this BB from Verizon, everything works fine but when I plug it into my PC the Desktop Manager software is a mess. I'm running Win XP. I've double checked all the USB connections, uninstalled and reinstalled the the BB software and taken the BB battery out and put it back, so it's none of those things. I brought the BB back to Verizon they said "it's working fine, must be a driver or something, duh".
When I plug in the BB and bring up Desktop Manager sometimes the BB is recognized sometimes not. When I try to use the Roxio Media Manager it comes halfway up but the hourglass cursor never goes away and it just sits there thinking for hours. Sometimes I get a pop up saying " First Time Configuration...., it won't let hit any of the choices, I just have the hourglass thinking. I always have to hit Ctl, Alt, Del and call up my task manager to quite the program because the hourglass never turns back into the cursor. I just want to manage my media. This is very frustrating.
I am able to transfer media files (mp3) to the phone with my Ubuntu 12.04 with no problem at all. However, the phone does not recognize files when I go to Nokia Music application. Software says that all the Music "folders" (Albums, Genres etc.) are empty. I have tried putting the mp3 files in all possible folders ( music, documents etc) on phone, but no luck. I have also tried several different mp3 files.

View 4 Replies View RelatedIve got my 8100 with a 2gb Media Card. The card works fine with BB. I can take pictures and store and even receive files via Bluetooth. The problem is that when I connect to my PC, it wont recognize as an external storage device. In DM it does recognize the BB showing my PIN. This means cable is not the problem. But the card wont show up in MY PC and doesn't work with Media Sync either.

My Lexar8GB MicroSd card worked for a long time. over the past month ive had it at its max capacity with 913 songs on it and a few hundered pictures. I unlocked my phone the other day and it said that i needed to format my sd card.. AGAIN. so i lost over 200 pictures that i wont get back and now i have no source to listen to music on the go. If anyone has any idea on how to fix this please tell me. ive tride taking the battery out and back in to reboot it but it does the same thing, and ive tried taking out the card and putting it back in... nothing. If im paying upwards of $600 on a smartphone that says it can do these things, i expect it to work.

Iv bluetoothed photos from my old phone (at&t windows phone) and transfered some over from my windows labtop. Everything as far as i knew transfered over no problem. All there. When i opened gallery . all there. *** well as when i opened music. All my usic was displayed. then one day went to open up my music player and it showed no music. Went to gallery to find noting. So i then went to filemanager. it said 0 music and 0 images but all my documents were still there. then via filemanger>all files>internalstorage>pictures they were there but all displayed as stock mountain pic till i clicked on them individualy.
