my blackberry keyboard stop working and im trying to extract contacts information. how can i do it with out using the phone . im trying to put them on my computer?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am having a massive problem with the buttons on my phone at the moment, I recently updated my phone and ever since I did that all of the buttons on my phone keep stop working then start working again once I repeatedly tap my buttons or smack my phone in rage. This is highly annoying when you urgently want to get hold of someone and your stood there tapping your phone trying to get it to work. My phone isn't water damaged and it has never been near water. I have had my phone for a total of 1 year and four months so its not a brand new model..Or has anyone experienced the same problem as me and got it fixed?

last night i dropped my phone and the battery popped out. Upon reinstalling the battery and resetting the device, my keyboard started acting strangely, numbers letters i didn't press would appear on the screen. I went on to reset the device again by pulling out the battery. The trackpad is working fine but the keyboard isnt. I tried taking of the battery several times i took it off for the whole night and it still doesnt work. I finally called my phone company and they said they would send me a new one but if they find out i damaged it i have to pay $350. I know i havent done anything but what if they tell me i had and i have to pay for that.

Now ive got a problem with my "A" button, which doesnt work at all and have discovered that my delete button is constantly being pressed even when i take off the cover, etc. Which basicly means anything i write is automaticly deleted... After this problem went away, now none of the buttons on the keyboard work , not even the delete button. I take the battery out, put it back in and the screen loads but once its at the home screen I can't do anything. None of the buttons I press do anything. Pretty soon the background goes out and the screen is black again. I'm recieving texts and phone calls but I can't respond or even see what they are because the screen is black and the keys aren't working.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI wonder if my 8900 has a virus? 2 weeks ago my keypad stopped working all of a sudden (all but the track ball although the clicking down of the trackpad doesn't) Now after reading through some websites, I was convinced it was a hardware fault but I decided that evening to try to back up my data and update the OS. I updated the OS and low and behold, my keypad started working again so obviously not a harware fault but now the keypads gone again and I try reinstalling the software and some of the keys work.... could I have a virus on my BB? is there a virus killer out there for BB?

View 9 Replies View RelatedI have a Curve 8520, I've had it almost a year ago. Yesterday an APP ERROR 523 appeared on my screen and I found out that an application crashed. So I tried to upgrade my OS from 4 to 5. It was successful but I wasn't able to scroll down to press the OK button. After a couple of hours trying to scroll down, I pressed the OK button. But my trackpad and keyboard is not functioning well because when I pressed the home button my BB is not showing the home screen, instead it shows me my phonebook.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI put my AT&T 8310 in an aftermarket hard shell case, trying to protect the keyboard. When I pulled it out some of the keys weren't working. Gradually some are coming back, but the delete/backspace key doesn't work (sometimes it kicks in and does a Pac Man) and the Alt Back combination to bring up switch applications isn't working even though both keys work independently.

View 49 Replies View RelatedIm 8900 owner, and im using Hebrew language and running 4.6.1.199 OS.When i got the BB (running Hebrew) the keyboard shortcuts ("R" to reply, "T" for top, etc) worked well, and after a while its just stopped to work.
I tried battery pull, doesnt help.With English the shortcuts works fine, but sometimes after reboot it stop working and then im changeing the language to another>then back to English again and the shortcuts back. (it doesnt work for Hebrew).Anyone can think about something i can do to make the shortcuts work on Hebrew again?
the keyboard and buttons on the side and top on my 8900 simply stopped working, in that they will no longer activate the phone even though I know the phone to be on.The phone is a PAYG handset on Orange, whom I have contacted and was told that because the unit is over 12 months old (18months) I must contact Blackberry. There are unfortunately no support telephone numbers apparent on the site, so this seems to be my only option! This is incredibly annoying as I need to use the phone on a daily basis for email, etc!

View 1 Replies View RelatedAmong the slight annoyances I have with touchwiz, I really don't like Samsung's keyboard. If I disable it in input methods, it only stays disabled until I actually use the other keyboard/input method I have selected.
It turns itself back on and gives me a notification to select input method. As it's a samsung app, it can't be disabled in app settings. Would it be safe to just delete it completely? I don't think there's an option to disable the notification popup when you have multiple input methods turned on. extreme phone ocd
edit: nvm I guess, yolo deleted it, now to get rid of sfinder and QC in notification menu
Every so often on my N8, I get a call from "someone". All I see is the phone number, with no indication of who it's from. Then I find out it's from someone who should have already been listed in my contacts.
Is there any way to search through contacts by phone number? At least that way I'd know who the call was from, before calling back.
Also, is there anything to do (or not to do) that will minimize this problem? I have multiple phone numbers and email addresses for several people, but I didn't think that would create an issue.
