i had to get a new housing for my blackberry... and suddenly my delete and enter snd the (p) buttons dont work... tryed changing the keyboard.still got the problem. turned the phone off and left for 5 mins still got the problem?
View 1 RepliesI got off work last night and the only part of my phone keyboard that works is the ball; it can scroll, but there is no response when i push it down. Also the rest of the keys do not work either. There was no water damage, smashing, dropping, anything that happened to my phone.

last night i dropped my phone and the battery popped out. Upon reinstalling the battery and resetting the device, my keyboard started acting strangely, numbers letters i didn't press would appear on the screen. I went on to reset the device again by pulling out the battery. The trackpad is working fine but the keyboard isnt. I tried taking of the battery several times i took it off for the whole night and it still doesnt work. I finally called my phone company and they said they would send me a new one but if they find out i damaged it i have to pay $350. I know i havent done anything but what if they tell me i had and i have to pay for that.

Now ive got a problem with my "A" button, which doesnt work at all and have discovered that my delete button is constantly being pressed even when i take off the cover, etc. Which basicly means anything i write is automaticly deleted... After this problem went away, now none of the buttons on the keyboard work , not even the delete button. I am going to send it to the repair but I HAVE TO BACK UP EVERYTHING FIRST, but i cannot do it because i cannot get into my simcard, to save all the numbers from the phone onto there and save the stuff on my phone onto the computer

I take the battery out, put it back in and the screen loads but once its at the home screen I can't do anything. None of the buttons I press do anything. Pretty soon the background goes out and the screen is black again. I'm recieving texts and phone calls but I can't respond or even see what they are because the screen is black and the keys aren't working.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI wonder if my 8900 has a virus? 2 weeks ago my keypad stopped working all of a sudden (all but the track ball although the clicking down of the trackpad doesn't) Now after reading through some websites, I was convinced it was a hardware fault but I decided that evening to try to back up my data and update the OS. I updated the OS and low and behold, my keypad started working again so obviously not a harware fault but now the keypads gone again and I try reinstalling the software and some of the keys work.... could I have a virus on my BB? is there a virus killer out there for BB?

When I go to screen/keyboard options the only type of light I can edit or adjust is the screen backlight.I've read about how to cover the sensor near the led but I don't even see the sensor. And what would that matter since its already dark and its not working?To note, I just got this BB from my mom a few days ago and the keyboard light hasn't worked since I've had it and I haven't asked her about it. So I tried to upgrade my OS from 4 to 5. It was successful but I wasn't able to scroll down to press the OK button. After a couple of hours trying to scroll down, I pressed the OK button. But my trackpad and keyboard is not functioning well because when I pressed the home button my BB is not showing the home screen, instead it shows me my phonebook.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI put my AT&T 8310 in an aftermarket hard shell case, trying to protect the keyboard. When I pulled it out some of the keys weren't working. Gradually some are coming back, but the delete/backspace key doesn't work (sometimes it kicks in and does a Pac Man) and the Alt Back combination to bring up switch applications isn't working even though both keys work independently.

View 49 Replies View RelatedIm 8900 owner, and im using Hebrew language and running 4.6.1.199 OS.When i got the BB (running Hebrew) the keyboard shortcuts ("R" to reply, "T" for top, etc) worked well, and after a while its just stopped to work.
I tried battery pull, doesnt help.With English the shortcuts works fine, but sometimes after reboot it stop working and then im changeing the language to another>then back to English again and the shortcuts back. (it doesnt work for Hebrew).Anyone can think about something i can do to make the shortcuts work on Hebrew again?

View 1 Replies View Relatedthe keyboard and buttons on the side and top on my 8900 simply stopped working, in that they will no longer activate the phone even though I know the phone to be on.The phone is a PAYG handset on Orange, whom I have contacted and was told that because the unit is over 12 months old (18months) I must contact Blackberry. There are unfortunately no support telephone numbers apparent on the site, so this seems to be my only option! This is incredibly annoying as I need to use the phone on a daily basis for email, etc!
View 1 Replies View RelatedI couldn't type at all on my G3 as the keyboard stopped popping up when clicking a text field - luckily I had Swype installed (as I'd bought it for a previous phone that had a rubbish stock keyboard) to use as a back up so I made Swype the default and could type again... however, I miss my LG Keyboard and it's emoticons but I cannot turn it back on - when going into the 'language & input methods' menu, I can adjust the settings for it, but the tick box to turn it on is greyed out?I tried the usual turn off and on etc, but it's still greyed out and seemingly can't be turned on.

When I say wrong, I mean this, i will use the B key for an example. The B key, when pressed does a "B" like its suposto, but the shift key does a _ But the orange other symbol on the key is a %. Can I correct this without sending it back to nokia, because I'd rather not sent my phone off for more weeks on end.

When you're in a group chat or individual chats the keyboard does not appear when you click inside the text box or choose show keyboard from the menu. View 8 Replies View Relatedyesterday my bbtorch screen went blank and the error 606 message appeared, I solved (I THOUGHT I did) that problem by running a firmware update, the message disappeared but now that my phone is working I see that the keyboard nor any other physical key is working. When I slide it open the screen lights up and if it is on its side the image rotates so I think the device still recognizes the keyboard but I don't understand why it won't work, I'm currently running version 7.1.0.1149.
