BB Curve :: 9330 Keyboard Isn't Working

i have a blackberry curve 9330. I got it a month ago and i had the same problem the second day i got it but it worked again. The trackpad is working fine but the keyboard isnt. I tried taking of the battery several times i took it off for the whole night and it still doesnt work. I finally called my phone company and they said they would send me a new one but if they find out i damaged it i have to pay $350. I know i havent done anything but what if they tell me i had and i have to pay for that.

my trackpad on curve 9330 decided to stop work, it has happened before but efter a couple of hpurs it solved itself...what to do..i live in Sweden and bought te phone from UK, what I now there is no retailer in Sweden for BB.

I got off work last night and the only part of my phone keyboard that works is the ball; it can scroll, but there is no response when i push it down. Also the rest of the keys do not work either. There was no water damage, smashing, dropping, anything that happened to my phone.

i had to get a new housing for my blackberry... and suddenly my delete and enter snd the (p) buttons dont work... tryed changing the keyboard.still got the problem. turned the phone off and left for 5 mins still got the problem?

last night i dropped my phone and the battery popped out. Upon reinstalling the battery and resetting the device, my keyboard started acting strangely, numbers letters i didn't press would appear on the screen. I went on to reset the device again by pulling out the battery. When i turned the device back on, the keyboard was unresponsive, and only the scroll square would work, but without the button function. I've tried blowing out the any dust

As if they are not connected, i can move the trackpad left to right and up to the volume icon, but can't click, and the keyboard and side keys do nothing I pulled the battery, that didn't work, the bb site says to delete data, well tried to and 3/4 thru desktop software says the phone is disconnected, so i can't delete all the data i clicked restore, still no keys work and no water, the liquid detector is white?

my track pad stopped working suddenly, out of nowhere, it came and went for like 2 weeks, then started working properly again. Now ive got a problem with my "A" button, which doesnt work at all and have discovered that my delete button is constantly being pressed even when i take off the cover, etc. Which basicly means anything i write is automaticly deleted... After this problem went away, now none of the buttons on the keyboard work , not even the delete button. I am going to send it to the repair but I HAVE TO BACK UP EVERYTHING FIRST, but i cannot do it because i cannot get into my simcard, to save all the numbers from the phone onto there and save the stuff on my phone onto the computer

My screen is black no matter what I press. I didn't lock the keys or anything. I take the battery out, put it back in and the screen loads but once its at the home screen I can't do anything. None of the buttons I press do anything. Pretty soon the background goes out and the screen is black again. I'm recieving texts and phone calls but I can't respond or even see what they are because the screen is black and the keys aren't working.

I wonder if my 8900 has a virus? 2 weeks ago my keypad stopped working all of a sudden (all but the track ball although the clicking down of the trackpad doesn't) Now after reading through some websites, I was convinced it was a hardware fault but I decided that evening to try to back up my data and update the OS. I updated the OS and low and behold, my keypad started working again so obviously not a harware fault but now the keypads gone again and I try reinstalling the software and some of the keys work.... could I have a virus on my BB? is there a virus killer out there for BB?

I'm using BB Curve 8320.My keyboard keys and trackball do not light up. Not at night, not ever. When I go to screen/keyboard options the only type of light I can edit or adjust is the screen backlight.I've read about how to cover the sensor near the led but I don't even see the sensor. And what would that matter since its already dark and its not working?To note, I just got this BB from my mom a few days ago and the keyboard light hasn't worked since I've had it and I haven't asked her about it. Although, there was one time randomly during the day the keys lit up and the trackball, so I know the light works...

I have a Curve 8520, I've had it almost a year ago. Yesterday an APP ERROR 523 appeared on my screen and I found out that an application crashed. So I tried to upgrade my OS from 4 to 5. It was successful but I wasn't able to scroll down to press the OK button. After a couple of hours trying to scroll down, I pressed the OK button. But my trackpad and keyboard is not functioning well because when I pressed the home button my BB is not showing the home screen, instead it shows me my phonebook.

I put my AT&T 8310 in an aftermarket hard shell case, trying to protect the keyboard. When I pulled it out some of the keys weren't working. Gradually some are coming back, but the delete/backspace key doesn't work (sometimes it kicks in and does a Pac Man) and the Alt Back combination to bring up switch applications isn't working even though both keys work independently.

Im 8900 owner, and im using Hebrew language and running 4.6.1.199 OS.When i got the BB (running Hebrew) the keyboard shortcuts ("R" to reply, "T" for top, etc) worked well, and after a while its just stopped to work.
I tried battery pull, doesnt help.With English the shortcuts works fine, but sometimes after reboot it stop working and then im changeing the language to another>then back to English again and the shortcuts back. (it doesnt work for Hebrew).Anyone can think about something i can do to make the shortcuts work on Hebrew again?

the keyboard and buttons on the side and top on my 8900 simply stopped working, in that they will no longer activate the phone even though I know the phone to be on.The phone is a PAYG handset on Orange, whom I have contacted and was told that because the unit is over 12 months old (18months) I must contact Blackberry. There are unfortunately no support telephone numbers apparent on the site, so this seems to be my only option! This is incredibly annoying as I need to use the phone on a daily basis for email, etc!

The battery on my daughter's BB Curve 9300 went completely flat the other day and will no longer charge in the usual way. However, we have found another way to recharge the battery and after inserting it fully charged to the handset re-booted.
It all re-booted ok but when the password screen appeared it wouldn't respond to any keys on the handset and she can't enter the password. The handset is now permantently locked and won't even switch it off. We've tried removing the battery and re-booting (several times) but no luck.

I see that you can rollback your OS on virtually all Blackberry phones for various reasons. I have a customer that is wanting to rollback their OS to 4.7 on their Curve 9330 so they can run a farming application called Smart Cow that can only run on OS 4.7!

I just got the Blackberry Curve 3G 9330 from Verizon. This morning I loaded Blackberry desktop software (based on the prompts) on my laptop. After setting up the sync function (with a yahoo account), my blackberry screen in blank. There is a blinking red light in the top right face of the phone. It blinks twice every 3 seconds Battery is fully charged and I tried to remove the battery and reinstall it. No change. I tried to hold down the end button to turn it off and nothing happens.

I have a cell phone so I can place and recieve calls and my 9330 won't place calls (it "connects" but there s no sound and when the person "I called" answers there is a clicking sound), answer calls (it rings, and the "talk" nor "select" buttons work) nor play media files through the media plaers (I always get the same error msg "there was an error in playback"). I have no idea if it is related, but "app world" disappeared as well as any screen identifying the OS. I am stymied, frustrated and on my way to being really upset.
