In a moment of insanity, I turned off wireless email reconciliation for three of my email accounts. I did this, not knowing that it is impossible to turn it back on from my device! Is there any way to fix this without deleting and then re-adding my email accounts?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have just purchased my Bold 9700 and as a single user am running on BIS. My purchase was based on the formidable reputation of Blackberry for easy and efficient email handling and I fully expected it to out-perform anything on the market in this respect. On setting up my IMAP accounts I was therefore shocked and very disappointed to find that sent item and read/unread email reconciliation is one-way only ie. from handset to mailbox.
On reading Blackberry support information and numerous Blackberry user forums I find that there is a substantial user base who share my feelings regarding this glaring and annoying omission of full two-way IMAP email reconciliation which is the norm on other smartphones including the iphone - presumably Blackberry's main competitor. As it is my 13 year-old son who uses an iphone is now laughing at the inability of my new Blackberry to perform simple email tasks!
I did it previously and now it doesn't work. Sprint doesn't know what they are talking about I'm hoping someone here does.My Yahoo! account syncs PERFECTLY w/my Tour. My Gmail and WindowsLive accounts do not. I can delete a msg from the PC and it remains on the phone. I delete from the phone and it remains on the PC.
View 1 Replies View RelatedE-mail reconciliation is not working for me with my Gmail account. When I read an e-mail on my BB, it isn't being marked as read in my Gmail. It also isn't working the other way: when I read an e-mail on my computer, my BB doesn't mark it as read.
How can I fix this? E-mail reconciliation in my options is already turned on.

I check the account and my password which should show as ******* now shows as ****************************. Who or what is adding the extra digits to my password. It's a yahoo/sbcglobal account. I've been having similar problems with corporate account at the office.

I then went to set up wizard/email set up but there is only the option to: - 'I want to use a work email account....' but nothing to set up a personal email address. I logged onto [URL] to try and register for an account, however I continually get the message 'Cannot create account This Blackberry device is not registered with your wireless service provider...' even though I received a message saying I was registered. My user name has more than 4 characters and my password is definately correct. Since I started messing about with it I have lost all incoming texts. I don't know what to try next.

When I go into Setup, Email Accounts I am on a screen that says "no accounts activated" and it has a setup screen for activating an Enterprise Account.I contacted 3 and they told me I need a contract add on for internet & email which I duly purchased, I spent an hour last night on the phone with the 3 tech team trying to set up the email account. He took me through the process of registering the host routing table and now I have a new symbol on the screen (4 dots)but it still didn't change my email setup options. He kept saying I should have 2 choices on my screen to either set up my own email account or activate an enterprise account - which I don't.
Eventually my 3 tech guy contacted Blackberry who said that he would need to pay for support which he declined so now I have a new Blackberry Curve 9320 which I can't & 3 tech support can't get to setup my email accounts.

I had initially been able to access my Yahoo email from my BB, but as of last week, I am no longer able to. I deleted email account from phone, then re added. Now, it's just stuck in this sychronization mode.
I have a Curve 8520 and have been trying to download new apps. When I enter my password I get the message 'unable to validate email address and password'. If I select 'forgot password' I get the message 'Blackberry is having trouble connecting to ... server. Verify your network connections and try again - error 30637'. Have checked my email settings and these seem ok and I am receiving email on the Blackberry on the same email account.

She is using the same sim.She had already added her email address on the old handset and adding it on the new handset is proving to be a problem.When she tries to 'add email' it comes up saying 'existing users' and asking for the user name and password. When we type in the full email and password it says 'Blank user name. Type a valid user name'We have tried just typing the first part of the email without the '@whatever.com' bit on the end and it says 'connecting to email settings' and then 'the information you provided is incorrect. retype your user name and password. Your user name and password are case sensitive.
