BB Curve :: BBM Message On The Screen?
Mar 3, 2012my phone shows that i have a bbm message but when i go to bbm there is no message and as a result the sign remains on the screen as if i never read the message.

BB Curve :: 3G White Screen With Message Connecting To Desktop?
May 24, 2011Periodically my Curve 3G will display a white screen with the message Connecting to Desktop. This can happen, for example, when I unlock my phone, or connect to a power supply. There is no way of removing the message apart from disconnecting the battery, and then rebooting. The phone cannot be used whilst it is displaying this message.

Nov 13, 2011My phone froze up for a long time. I took the battery out, waited a minute and put it back. Now my phone will not reboot completely. After the Sprint screen, an 'uncaught inception' message pops up, then it proceeds to verify security software.....the screen turns bright white and a tiny message in the middle of the screen says: app error 523 with the word 'reset' highlighted under it.....I can't do anything but click on it, for it to shut down and go through the whole exact thing all over again..

Aug 10, 2010I have a Curve 8520, and suddenly tonight, I have a read message icon on the home screen that won't go away. I have no emails or messages at all on my phone anymore, and I cleared the messages from the advanced tab thingy on the desktop manager. I've done a battery pull, turned it off and waited a few minutes before turning it back on, and nothing has worked. I even tried sending a text message to my phone from my husband's, and it showed up as 2 messages on the icon, but when I deleted that new text msg, it went back down to 1 read message and is still there.

Aug 9, 2010I have a little problem, if we can consider this a problem. When i receave a SMS from a friend X, my Blackberry lag (the screen doesn't change, for like 0.5 sec). But when I receave a SMS from let's say Y, it can take up to 5 to 10 seconds before the screen move or I can move with the track pad to see the message. It's annoying.
So here is what I think, Is this because.. :
- I have over 35 000 SMS in the DB ?
- I have like 100 SMS from X and 5000 from Y ?
- My phone is on the vibrator but for Y he has a music ?
- Is this OS 5 ? But he is faster then OS 4 and I updated a while ago ?

BB Curve :: Message Icon On The Main Screen "menu" Vanished?
Apr 3, 2011My message icon on the main screen "menu" vanished. I can no longer receive messages, and all the messages that I had stored vanished, since the message icon disappeared. I seem however, able to send messages by going to the email, but instead of composing email, i compose sms. However, I never get any replies. The message icon disappeared approximately two weeks ago. I went to the 02 store and the technical assistant took my phone for about 30 minutes, and then gave it back to me, saying he had no idea what had happened. He initially thought it had been "hiden" but it appears to be no where!

May 31, 2011Every time i try to send a text/sms i get a red cross next to it saying " Short message transfer" and i can not send a text.I have tried a battery pull, and removed the area code etc as what I have seen people say on other forums, but nothing has worked!ANY IDEAS? it was working a few days ago and I just tried- and nothing! I can recieve all my text messages (as far as I know) but cant send them.The mobile numbers are correct, so that wouldnt be the issue. I cant send them to anyone, or anhy company eg i was trying to text in to see my balance and that happened. I cant send a single text to an yone! Great phone, but there's a problem with Nokia Messaging (or Nokia Email, I don't know - see screen below).I've already set it up with her Gmail account, but when she tries to check her emails, instead of this nice screen, it takes shows the phone's Messaging folder, where there's no HTML for emails (and, I think, no push mail support).Besides, both the "Email" and the "Email setup" icons lead to the same place (setting up a new account). In my 5800, it shows the screen above, which has a much better interface.

Jul 23, 2010A few weeks ago, my Blackberry got an error 507 screen overnight and I had to wipe the device. I am currently using the latest release of 5.0 and last night my phone was working fine. When I woke up this morning, my screen had the "App error 205" message on it. That is two failures in one month now and I have to go to work in a few minutes so I won't even have time to wipe my device to at least have a working phone for the day. Does anyone have an idea why this junk keeps happening?
