When connecting my device to my pc on the do you want to connect screen, I hit the 'dont ask me again' button on the device by mistake. Now I cannot see how to reverse this so as to download my photos from device to pc. I tried reloading, no go, and my provider cannot answer this one. Nothing on help menus that I can see, any ideas?

Yesterday, my daughter bought a new battery, did not solve my problemI've searched this site as intensely as I can over the course of 2 1/2 days.I am retired on disability pension. When I can't get to my laptop, my BlackBerry is my only connection to help if I need it.Day before yesterday, I was on the browser when the phone froze. I did a soft reboot, the screen went black, and the phone has not come back on since. The light in the upper right corner blinks red once, pauses, blinks 3 times in a row, then pauses for a few more seconds before repeating the sequence.The phone will not show "connected" to either BlackBerry Desktop Manager nor to my laptop. I've been through a couple of "troubleshooting" flow charts but they all require that my phone "connect" to continue with the flow chart instruction but the phone will not "connect".
View 9 Replies View Relatedhi. had 8900 for few months on orange uk with data plan. have been using email, internet and windows live and blackberry messenger all fine using either wi fi or mobile now all of a sudden its stop working and i cant use none. when i try to connect to internet i get a msg say this is a wi fi service please ensure your device has a wi fi connection , bb messenger wont send mgs or receive windows live jus says this service is not enabled for this handheld. ive contacted orange but they havnt helped they did say it could be a update of facebook causing problem?. have tried removing battery and restoring removed service books etc nothings fixed. can anyone help plz?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have an 8900 Curve, and have been using Wifi to connect to the internet, in my home and everywhere else I go. I'm in Mexico using Telcel. You don't need a plan just to connect to the internet, that's what WiFi is for. It just stopped connecting the other day for some reason. The wifi icon does not appear at the top. I have the browser set to HotSpot, it's the only option actually, I set the TCP/IP APN to the Mexican settings (you can do that here: http://www.blackberrytune.com/blackberry-tcp-ip-apn-settings/), but still nothing!WTF is wrong with this POS!
View 2 Replies View RelatedBeen trying to connect my device GPS and Google maps for months now but to no avail. I get either GPS is Temporarily unavailable or it says Waiting on GPS.... I've been outside, in the middle of a soccer field still nothing.
The GPS is obviously working because I have geotagging for some of my apps set to use GPS rather the cell tower.
My particulars....8900, with .610, Google Map v4.02 and yes I have done battery pulls. Im in Barbados on Digicel network, I called and asked if they blocked GPS, "Whats GPS"
Just recently I bought a Blackberry Curve 8900 with tmobile. Now here is the thing, I dont have a data plan of any kind with tmobile. So when I bought the phone I insterted my phone and booted it up. Checked with my seller to make sure it made a phone call... it did. So I knew for sure my SIM card was working just fine....
When I got home, the first thing I did was connect to my wireless network.. using Wi-Fi.. obviously. And from there I went to the Setup Wizard and went through each step. When I got to the Email portion, It gave me two options, I dont remember both but one of them was "set up email through blackberry enterprise server".. or something like that. I was aware that I didnt have a data plan, so I clicked the second option. I went through the process and had EMAIL... through WIFI. I even sent my self email messages to make sure it was working and have proof that i recieved email and sent emaily to myself and others!!! without a data plan.This is what i expected.. i didnt know that this wasnt supposed to happen? and that blackberrys customers were only able to get email if they had a blackberry data plan?Well, naturally i figured everything else would work on a wif connection.. like the iphone. Even though you dont have the 3G data plan one can still access email, web, and aps. So anways, all the apps communicated with the wifi network and my web browser viewed pages on a wireless network.
Then my myfaves dissapeard and gave a java encoding script error or something. So what do i do? i call tmobile and spend hours troubleshooting. Eventually i am able to restore or update my OS with a PC and get my mfaves back. But now my ap world ap wont start and tells me that i need a data plan.. next its my web browser that tells me the same thing, as well as facebook. I am like what is going on?!. AND then when I try to set up email... there is only one option... and thats "setup email through a blackberry enterprise server"..if you took the time to read this.. why in the world did everything stop working with wi fi and out of nowhere asked me to use a blackberry data service plan?
I'm using curve 8900 right now. However, I accidentally wipe my handheld yesterday. Thus I tried to update my firmware (the following one)

After it rebooted. I add more applications without setting the language in my handheld first. And this is where the problem begin. The screen is just stuck with the page to choose language to be used in handheld and cannot be navigated at all. I also cannot connect it to my computer. I tried battery pulled and let the battery run out then pull and recharge again. It always come up with the same screen.
I tried to reinstall OS on my curve 8900. At the stage of " reconnecting to JVM" an error message occurs stating "application loader Unable to connect to your device" I had tried all the options like Jl_cmder ..but still nothing happens. My mobile is dead and is not responding to any instruction.
View 1 Replies View RelatedDevice info : Blackberry 8900 v4.6.1.199 (Platform 4.2.0.102)I bought my blackberry curve couple of days ago and everything is fine but what happens sometimes is that the screen swtiches off like when you put it in the cover for example but the problem is that while I am using it suddenly the screen switches off (goes blank) and I try pressing buttons or the track ball or the lock button .. nothing happens .. I wait couple of more seconds and then the screen comes back and I continue using it normally. I know there are other threads like this, but after a few hours of searching I cannot find a solution for my problem, so I am left with creating a new thred (sorry). I have a Nextel 8350i on boost. This morning, I reinstalled the combined3 service books, and now no internet, or app that accesses internet will work. I get the unable to connect message when I try to connect using my data plan and when I try to connect on wifi as well. I am able to place and receive calls, i can use direct connect, and i can send and receive texts as well, its just the internet is not working with data or wifi. My current OS is v4.6.1.313 any suggetions?
View 8 Replies View RelatedI have a little problem, if we can consider this a problem. When i receave a SMS from a friend X, my Blackberry lag (the screen doesn't change, for like 0.5 sec). But when I receave a SMS from let's say Y, it can take up to 5 to 10 seconds before the screen move or I can move with the track pad to see the message. It's annoying.
So here is what I think, Is this because.. :
- I have over 35 000 SMS in the DB ?
- I have like 100 SMS from X and 5000 from Y ?
- My phone is on the vibrator but for Y he has a music ?
- Is this OS 5 ? But he is faster then OS 4 and I updated a while ago ?

My wife has a bb 9300 3g on os6 and everything has been fine.However somehow she has screwed up the wi-fi settings.The phone will not connect to our home router and displays the rror message " failed to obtain an IP address".I hve tried everything on the phone from
- Removing the wi-fi setting and reentering them.
- Entering the details manually
- Removing the battery and rebooting the phone
- Reinstally the os over the computer
Nothing seems to work. I know the router is fine as I have the same phone and it connects ok along with several other devices.Has anyone any suggestions before I reset the phone to factory setting?
I can connect to a wifi network but I'm not able to look something on the internet. With a mobile provider it's possible.

Now, when I start Kies once again, it says device not connected and my phone is not is Kies mode. If I replug my USB at either end (laptop or mobile) it goes to Kies mode and connecting fine.
My doubt here is, how do I reconnect to Kies in laptop without replug my USB, once after I quit from Kies mode in my phone.

I just got the new OS 5.0 for my 8900. I also got a new theme. I changed my wallpaper, but now I want to change it back to the default for the theme. Has anyone figured out a way to do this? know in the OS 4.6, there was an option when you go to your media files that said "reset default home screen" or something like that. But I do not see that on the 5.0 software.

I'm trying to access my device memory through mass storage. But when i connect with Mass storage, i can only access the SD-card. This also happens when i go to options -> memory - There i can only see application memory, and media card, but no device memory, like in other phones.
Checking programatically for file:///store/home/user, shows it exists, and i'm able to save files to it. So - How do i get back my device memory ? Any one else experiencing these problems?
