Jun 24, 2010Tried out my first face time call. Everything worked great except when I pushed the toggle to utilize the back camera, the person I was talking to said their image of me simply froze. They were not able to see through my back camera. When they switched to their back camera I saw everything fine.

Nov 28, 2015Just got my phone and it is completely stock. When using the video camera and switching between slow-motion modes (normal, 120 FPS & 240 FPS) the camera app crashes and I get the error message "Can't connect to the camera".
Then the camera wont work, no matter the app I use, that uses the camera. After a reboot it works again though.
Sometimes it crashes the first time I've changed the mode to 240, sometimes after cycling through the modes a bit, but it always happen and it wont many cycles (1-3). I've recorded functional 240 FPS videos, so that part works.
I've tried starting the phone in safe mode and deleting cache partition, with the same result.
There are others with the same problem, but it doesn't seem to be a common error. Is it a software problem or hardware, and is RMA the only option?

Dec 16, 2011I finally decided to use my Bold 9000 back again (fyi the battery was in the phone the entire time for the duration that I didn't use it) but now, ever since I've been charging it, the red thing lights up but soon disappears when I connect it to my wall charger. Jan 17, 2012Two months ago my Bold 9780 started switching off randomly, even if battery was still charged. I bought new batteries, original ones and it kept doing it. I use it quite a lot and while I write an email or on BBM it just dies completely and then I have to restart it by battery pull. It's not doing it all the time, every 5 minutes. So the batteries are new, the device has the latest update and I don't know what to do. I badly need the phone and have no time to take it to the repairs and all that?

Phone switches off by itself, the red LED light flashes once and goes off completely and then the phone reboots. It does this randomly whenever I use it. Its started when I went on Facebook. I hardly ever go on Facebook. I've had the phone for 8 months and its never done this before.
I had a problem with the BB protect automatic back up but that seems to have been resolved after the OS upgrade.

Jun 27, 2012I have had a Bold 9900 for a little over a week now, whilst the battery is not that great on it (even with auto power off turned on and screen brightness right down) my major issue seems to be with the it switching off and rebooting randomly. Some days it will go the whole day without doing it, others it will do it three or four times during the day, sometimes during a call, sometime when it is just sat in my pocket.

Apr 19, 2010I have a 9700 Bold with ATT and the OS is v5.0.0.405. Alright so a couple of weeks ago my blackberry has started developing an annoying problem. When in a call, most of the time (not all) it starts switching between the headset icon and the normal speaker. When this happens, you can hear the phone switch between the two through the speaker, and it makes it so i cant hear anyone and they cant hear me. I'm out of my 30 day warranty from ATT but i think im still well within the RIM warranty. I have admittidly dropped it, but this still shouldnt be happening. Nothing like this has happened to any other phone I have owned. Is there anything i can do to get some sort of replacement?

Jun 7, 2011This just started two days ago. (the day after the 1 yr warranty expired grrr. Happens on phone calls and video. You only catch about 1 word out of six. Makes phone calls impossible. No, there are no headphones connected to the device. Discovered if I do, then at least I can hear what people are saying because it stops flipping back and forth between headphone and speaker function. Remove the headphones and away it goes again. Keeps doing it for about a minute after the call ends with an audible click each time it switches to speaker mode for a fraction of a second.

Feb 10, 2010Is anyone else having problems with dropped calls when switching from UMA to 3G? Where I work I do not have a signal in the building, so I keep my WIFI on so I can both make and receive phone calls while inside.
The problem occurs when I'm on the phone and step outside. I lose my connection with the router, and instead of switching from UMA to 3G, my call is dropped, and it takes my phone about 10 seconds to find the 3G signal.I was hopping that upgrading the .442 would solve the problem, but it has not

I obtained the unlock code from Vodafone but the user managed to put the MEP code in wrong too many times and now I get a message: "Enter Network MEP code (0 left)"I've tried resetting factory defaults as per Vodafone advice and updated to latest OS but still get the same message.
