Jan 9, 2011I got the htc shift and upon trying to sync it on a friends computer there were no issues. I got it home and mounted the phone to install sync, it started to work after a few minutes. Here is where the issue starts. Once I do the sync and unplug the phone, and remembering i want another song on it, i try to hook it back up and sync tells me no device connected. Aug 6, 2010Went to an at&t store today and played with the 9800. I had been excited about it, but had never used a touch screen before. Wow, forgetting any issues that “may” exist with OS or the device itself which others have more than covered enough elsewhere in this forum, I was somewhat disappointed. As implied, it’s not the device or OS, but the use of a touch screen vs. my Bold 9000 that I love so much (and thus I’d probably have the same view with switching to any other touch screen device, BB or not). (However, the 9000 keyboard still IMHO exceeds all others including the 9800, which I found to be small, even for my small fingers).
But for those of you who have switched from similar devices to a touch screen, how was the experience? How long did it take to get fully used to a touch screen etc.? One thing I anticipate missing - believe it or not - is the ease of getting around on my Bold. Now I have PocketDay and have 2 short cuts assigned to every key. Not sure if I’ll have the same abilities on the 9800 etc.
Eseries / Communicators :: E71 Keeps Giving Out Of Memory Error
Oct 31, 2012My Nokia E71 (it's black so it may be an E71x, I guess) keeps giving me out of memory errors. I use my phone for nothing but voice calls, text messages, and emails. I have cleared all call logs, deleted all emails except 5 (they have no attachments) and cleared deleted emails, and deleted all text messages. I went into file manager and made sure there are no images, videos, etc. on the phone. I set up options to use memory card for emails. I've turned the phone off, waited 15 or 20 seconds, and turned it back on.
I did all this a couple weeks ago. Ever since then. every couple days I get these out of memory errors, and the phone memory shows me 119 MB used and something like 300K free. I'm at the point where every few emails that come in, I have to delete all emails, erase all text messages, etc. or the phone is just too low on memory to operate. I don't have any additional applications installed. I've even tried to delete built-in apps such as RealPlayer but it didn't seem like that was possible.
