BB Bold :: No Radio Signal?
Mar 14, 2012I have only been able to use my blackberry for 2.5 days out of 3 this week, Vodafone Have said its a blackberry issue has anyone else heard of an issue????

Dec 4, 2011I am on my 3rd Photon - Sprint is ordering another one as each has been defective. I am tired of the hassle - are other people experiencing this? I have sworn by HTC, and the specs on the phone were excellent, but it's been a nightmare! How can 3 phones all be defective? I live is San Diego and work in Los Angeles.

Aug 21, 2010Checked the forum and did not find any on this post! Ran my battery down to 4% and radio did not turn off. Has Rim done away with this feature? Not very often i have the battery down this low, and i know it is not good for the battery. I just wanted to see if it would turn off. I plugged my phone in at 4% so I did not run the battery any lower. I thought it was at 5% that it would turn off. Is the percentage lower? Or is RADIO OFF gone?

BB Bold :: Wi-Fi Radio Will Not Turn On
Apr 27, 2011New to the Blackberry experience. I've owned this phone for about a month. I've been happy so far, but now my wi-fi radio internal phone software will not start. I have downloaded APS on this phone, it worked for the first month, but now, nothing. Nothing I do can make that wi-fi radio start up, so I cant even scan from my home wi-fi.... Or any hotspot. I have 3G network, and set up on wi-fi preferred.

Mar 15, 2010I live in a poor reception area on the Rogers network. I've noticed that when I go into the basement the phone drops a signal pretty quickly. I am okay with this and is expected. My issue is when I get back on to the main floor, the phone does not pick up a signal again for a long time. Sometimes even toggling airplane mode doesn't work. My wife's iPhone does the same thing.

Jul 3, 2010So you know normally you will get a message when your battery is low that says "Battery too low for radio use" and the radio comes off. Well twice that stopped happening. Battery was low but instead of getting the message, my phone just cuts off like if the battery is dead. Any explanation as to why this is happening? It happened two out of two times.

Aug 9, 2010Just recently my Bold 9650 has been periodically losing the radio connection. I usually only notice it when I attempt to place a call and get the 'radio connection off' message. When I attempt to restore the connection (via Quicklaunch) nothing happens. I have to do a hard reset to get the connection back which is a pain in the a**. Apr 15, 2010I turned off the 3G network and wish to connect to the Internet via the WiFi connection. My WiFi is enabled and has a valid IP address. I can ping the WiFi gateway, I can also ping an external host (google.com which resolves to 74.125.224.134). DNS lookup also works just fine and I can ping various hostnames directly. So, the ICMP packets are traversing the network. In WiFi Diagnostics (Advanced), I see a valid local IP address (192.168.5.190) and gateway (192.168.5.1, which is also the local DNS server / DNS relay agent).So, I want to pull data (web pages, etc.) from the Internet using the WiFi only (with the 3G cell / mobile network disabled). But when I turn off the mobile radio, I get this error: "Cannot visit web page when radio is turned off. Please turn on the radio and try again."

Then when you either leave the vehicle & go out of range OR turn the vehicle off, wait until the Bold 9900 shows you that the connection was terminated, restart the vehicle & the radio announces that "PAIRING FAILED". Every time you enter the vehicle you have to manually pair the radio & phone, very inconvienient.
