I was trying to download the "what's app" to my phone. To turn on the device radio was requested as part of the step 2. I don't know that this phone has a radio and how to turn it on
View 6 RepliesChecked the forum and did not find any on this post! Ran my battery down to 4% and radio did not turn off. Has Rim done away with this feature? Not very often i have the battery down this low, and i know it is not good for the battery. I just wanted to see if it would turn off. I plugged my phone in at 4% so I did not run the battery any lower. I thought it was at 5% that it would turn off. Is the percentage lower? Or is RADIO OFF gone?

At the top of the screen is says service required and has an X next to the signal indicator. I am running OS 4.6.I've tried pulling out the battery, going into manage connections and turning it on (the box never will check) and tried to register in the host routing tables all to no avail. I have flashed different radios, flashed several factory images (4.4,5.1.1,5.0) but I have the same problem. One thing though, when I'm on 4.4 it says the radio is on in the hidden settings (still no signal) but I can t' turn it off. Is this a software or hardware problem?
